Rivacre Valley

Overpool railway station was opened on 17 August 1988 and serves the central area of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. It is situated on the Hooton–Helsby line and is served by the Wirral Line which is part of the Merseyrail network. It became part of the Merseyrail network in 1994, when the branch from Hooton to Ellesmere Port was electrified, and through train services to Liverpool via Birkenhead commenced.

Located between Childer Thornton and Great Sutton, it is a suburb of the town of Ellesmere Port. Little Sutton is mostly residential and sits either side of the A41 road, linking Birkenhead and Chester.

Vauxhall Motors Football Club is a football club based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. The club are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One West and play at Rivacre Park, known as the vanEupen Arena for sponsorship reasons. It was originally the works team of the Vauxhall Ellesmere Port Car Plant. It had much success in its local leagues and fought its way up to semi-professional status. It was announced in March 2014 that the club had tendered its resignation from the Football Conference, with effect from the end of season 2013–14. The club took over their reserve team's place back in the West Cheshire League Division One for the 2014–15 season but has since reached the North West Counties League Premier Division. It is generally regarded as the local team of Ellesmere Port, although two other teams, Ellesmere Port and Ellesmere Port Town, play further down the pyramid in the Chester & District League.

It has always built small/medium Vauxhall/Opel vehicles, including the Vauxhall Viva and Opel/Vauxhall Astra. It is owned by the global car manufacturer Stellantis.

Little Sutton railway station serves the village of Little Sutton, near Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. It is situated on the Hooton–Helsby line and is served by the Wirral Line which is part of the Merseyrail network. The station is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The station opened in 1863 as "Sutton" and was renamed Little Sutton in 1886. It became part of the Merseyrail network in 1994, when the branch from Hooton to Ellesmere Port was electrified by British Rail, and through train services to Liverpool via Birkenhead commenced. Between the 2013/14 and 2019/20 periods, Little Sutton was the least-used station on the Merseyrail network. Since 2020/21 it is the second least-used station on the network.

Great Sutton is a village on the Wirral Peninsula, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is a suburb of Ellesmere Port and, as with Little Sutton to the north, was once a separate village that was incorporated into the town as it expanded outwards.

Childer Thornton is a village on the Wirral Peninsula, in the unitary authority Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It was once a separate village but has since been incorporated into Ellesmere Port. Childer Thornton is on the A41 trunk road, between Hooton and Little Sutton.

St Paul's Church is in the village of Hooton, Cheshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Wirral South, the archdeaconry of Chester, and the diocese of Chester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The authors of the Buildings of England series describe it as "unquestionably one of the most spectacular churches of Cheshire".

Mount Manisty is a large man-made hillock, uninhabited and located between the Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northwest of Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, England. The mound, which is 100 feet (30 m) tall, was created from earth excavated during the building of the ship canal between Eastham and Ellesmere Port in the late 19th century. The feature forms a narrow elevated stretch of land between the canal (this section of navigation is known as Manisty cutting) and the river.Mount Manisty takes its name from the departmental engineer who was in charge of construction of this section, Edward Manisty, the second son of Sir Henry Manisty, one of the Justices of the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court of Justice.The mound, which is described as a "striking feature" and a "considerable elevation", is also reportedly "bleak and pock-marked with rabbit holes". After Mount Manisty, the ship canal crosses the Frodsham marshes towards the Weaver Sluices and Runcorn. Stanlow Island and Ince mud banks lie in the upper Mersey estuary at this point along with several sand banks, particularly near Mount Manisty. The physical and chemical properties of these mud banks have been studied.

West Cheshire College was a further education, vocational college in the North West of England. It had over 20,000 students at its two main campuses in Ellesmere Port and Chester as well as in workplaces and community venues. In March 2017 it was merged with South Cheshire College, based in Crewe, to form Cheshire College – South & West, which as of 2020 retains the Ellesmere Port and Chester campuses.
