Ministry of Education (Ghana)

The Ministry of Health (MoH) is the government ministry of Ghana that is responsible for the health of Ghanaians. It is involved in providing public health services, managing Ghana's healthcare industry, and building Ghana's hospitals and medical education system. Ministry main offices are located in Accra.The ministry is responsible for all health related issues in Ghana. It was responsible for direct public health service delivery or provision in the country. However, with the enactment of an ACT 525 of parliament, the functions of promotion, preventive, curative and rehabilitative care has been delegated to the Ghana Health Service and Teaching hospitals. Hence, the ministry is now responsible for only policy formulation, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization and regulation of the health service delivery in the country.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) is the Ghana administration charged with the task of assessing, collecting and accounting for tax revenue in Ghana.As part of efforts to improve compliance, the Authority is required to assist taxpayers to understand and meet their tax obligations by providing robust and comprehensive advice. Since its inception the GRA has integrated the four revenue institutions namely the Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Value Added Tax Service (VATS) and the Revenue Agencies Governing Board (RAGB).

The Accra Sports Stadium, formerly named the Ohene Djan Stadium, is a multi-use stadium (40,000-capacity, all-seater) located in Accra, Ghana, mostly used for association football matches. It is also used for rugby union.

The Accra Sport Stadium disaster occurred at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra, Ghana on May 9, 2001. It took the lives of 126 people, making it the worst stadium disaster to have ever taken place in Africa. It is also the third-deadliest disaster in the history of association football behind the Estadio Nacional disaster and Kanjuruhan Stadium disaster.

The Accra International Conference Centre is an events venue in Accra, Ghana. Other venues include the Ghana Trade Fair Center and the National Theatre, but the Conference Centre is the most popular due to its size and capacity as compared to the National Theatre, and at the same time smaller than the Ghana Trade Fair Centre (which was built to host pan-African events).

The Black Star Gate is part of the Independence Square now known as the Black Star Square in Accra. It is located at the center of the square where parades are held. The Black Star Gate is a monument topped by the Black Star of Africa. The five-pointed star represents Africa in general and particularly Ghana itself. It has the inscription "AD 1957" and "Freedom and Justice". The Black Star Gate was commissioned by Kwame Nkrumah to indicate the country's supreme power to control its own affairs.

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development is the Government of Ghana agency responsible for the promotion of government policies and projects in Ghana. The ministry also promotes governance and balanced rural based development.

Black Star Square, also known as Independence Square, is a public square in Accra, Ghana, bordered by the Accra Sports Stadium and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square often hosts the annual independence celebrations as well as other national events, and is the site for all civic and military parades and other national gatherings. It was completed in 1961, in time for the state visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ghana.

Access Bank Ghana Plc, formerly Access Bank Ghana Limited, is a full service commercial bank in Ghana, licensed by the Bank of Ghana, the central bank and national banking regulator.

The Ghana School of Law (GSL) is an educational institution in Ghana for training lawyers. The school is the only institution responsible, for training for law graduates in the Professional Law Course (PLC) program, and the Post-Call Law Course.The PLC is designed for law graduates who have obtained an LLB degree, and have passed the entrance examination. The Post-Call Law Course on the other hand is designed for Ghanaians or non-Ghanaians, who have qualified in common law jurisdictions outside Ghana, which operate a legal system analogous to Ghana. On completion of either courses, the graduate is qualified to practice law in Ghana. Prior to the establishment of the Ghana School of Law in 1958, all lawyers in Ghana were trained abroad, almost always at the Inns of Court in England.By convention, all lawyers admitted to practice in Ghana become automatic members of the Ghana Bar Association.

The Ridge Church School is an independent and parochial co-educational preparatory day school in Accra, Ghana. Situated between the Gamel Abdul Nasser Avenue and Guinea Bissau Road and opposite the Efua Sutherland Children's Park, it was founded by the Accra Ridge Church in 1957, the year of Ghana's independence from the United Kingdom. The Ridge Church School is located on the premises of the church. It was the first wholly private basic school to be established in modern Ghana. The Accra Ridge Church was the first international solely English-speaking Protestant church in Ghana. The school is inter-denominational Christian, holding ties to the Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian churches, that assign chaplains to both the church and school. The school runs a ten–year programme from kindergarten to lower primary through upper primary to junior high and culminating in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) administered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). The school largely follows the prescribed curriculum and syllabus of the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Liberation Day monument is a monument in Accra, Ghana. It stands in honour of several veterans of the Burma campaign conducted during the Second World War by Commonwealth forces in which the veterans fought for the British Empire. After returning to the Gold Coast, some of the veterans began a peaceful protest and marched towards Christiansborg Castle. The protesters were fired upon, and seven of the veterans were killed.
