Hägerstensåsen metro station

Hägerstensåsen is a district of the Hägersten-Liljeholmen borough in Söderort, the southern suburban part of Stockholm. It is located 7 km southwest of the capital and has a population of approximately 7,800 inhabitants.

Efter badet (Swedish, 'After the Bath') is a public sculpture, cut in limestone and located in the Västertorp district of suburban Stockholm. It was designed by the sculptor Pye Engström, who spent five years between 1971 and 1976 working on it. Since 1976 it has been located outside of Västertorpshallen, a municipally owned public bath. It is constructed as a bench, in which visitors can sit in the lap of seven different political figures depicted by Engström. From left to right, they are Elise Ottesen-Jensen, Paulo Freire, Sara Lidman, Mao Zedong, Angela Davis, Georg Borgström and Pablo Neruda.The sculpture has been the source of controversy in recent years. In 2006 Martina Lind (sv), a local politician from the Liberal People's Party, proposed to the Assembly of Stockholm Municipality that the statue should be removed from public display, stating that the city "shouldn't celebrate one of the worst mass murderers in world history". She also requested monuments dedicated to the victims of the Soviet Union and China be created in Stockholm.In 2010, Madeleine Sjöstedt (sv) – a prominent municipal politician, also belonging to the Liberal People's Party – brought attention to Efter badet again, and, while she did not call for its removal, she demanded that the responsible authorities erect a sign next to the sculpture, providing information about the "crimes against humanity committed by Mao and communism". The Swedish Social Democratic Party opposition politician Roger Mogert (sv) commented that the statue was "a bit of a non-issue." The sculptor Pye Engström explained the choice of portrayed individuals by saying that "it was the 1970s", and later stated that she had no problem with the city authorities putting up a sign, as long as it provided information about everyone depicted in the sculpture.

Axelsberg (Axelhill) is a district of the Hägersten-Liljeholmen borough in Söderort, the southern suburban part of Stockholm. It is close to the Hägersten industrial area. The district's Metro station was opened in 1965.

The population of Hägersten-Liljeholmen borough is 83,283 as of 2014. The borough was formed on January 1, 2007 by merging the Hägersten borough (Hägersten, Fruängen, Hägerstensåsen, Mälarhöjden and Västertorp) with Liljeholmen borough (Aspudden, Gröndal, Midsommarkransen, Västberga and a portion of Hägersten).

Örnsberg metro station is a station on the red line of the Stockholm metro, located in Aspudden in the south part of Stockholm Municipality. The station was opened on 5 April 1964 as the southwest terminus of the first stretch of the Red line, from T-Centralen to Örnsberg, with a branch to Fruängen. On 16 May 1965, the line was extended further southwest to Sätra.

Långbro Hospital (Swedish: Långbro sjukhus), also called Långbro Asylum, was a psychiatric hospital in the Långbro neighborhood of Stockholm, Sweden. Långbro sjukhusmuseum, created by Heritage Stockholm, is a digital exhibit that preserves the history of the hospital.The grounds of the hospital are now preserved as a public park called Långbroparken. Amenities of Långbro Park include an ornamental pond with fountains, tree-lined avenues and walking tracks, lawns, playgrounds, community garden space, outdoor basketball court, outdoor circuit training equipment, gymnasium, swimming pool, preschool, and areas with old oaks left natural for wildlife to the western and eastern edges. Buildings in or near the park host small businesses and family homes.

Fruängen metro station is the end station on line 14 of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Fruängen. The station was opened on 5 April 1964 as the south terminus of the first stretch of the Red line, from T-Centralen. The distance to Slussen is 8.1 km (5.0 mi). With the station platform at 47 metres (154 ft) above sea level, it is the highest situated in the Stockholm subway network.
