Slamannan (Scottish Gaelic: Sliabh Mhanainn) is a village in the south of the Falkirk council area in Central Scotland. It is 4.6 miles (7.4 km) south-west of Falkirk, 6.0 miles (9.7 km) east of Cumbernauld and 7.1 miles (11.4 km) north-east of Airdrie. Slamannan is located at the cross of the B803 and B8022 roads, near the banks of the River Avon, close to the border between Falkirk and North Lanarkshire councils. Slamannan had a population of around 1,360 residents. In 1755 the population was recorded as 1209. Fifty years later the population was around the 1000 in the Parish of Slamanan (although elsewhere in the same volume the usual spelling is used). The 19th-century parish church can accommodate upwards of 700 people.

Binniehill is a village in Falkirk, Scotland. The name is a tautology, with "binnie" coming from Scottish Gaelic "binnean" meaning a small hill.

Bonnybridge High railway station was a railway station serving the village of Bonnybridge. The station was originally part of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway.

High Bonnybridge is a small village which lies in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. The village is located 0.5 miles (0.8 km) south-east of Bonnybridge and 3.6 miles (5.8 km) west-southwest of Falkirk. High Bonnybridge sits north of the main Glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk railway line. At the time of the 2001 census the village had a population of 610 residents.

Limerigg is a village in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. It lies on the B825 road between Slamannan and Caldercruix surrounded by extensive woodlands on the northern side and lying next to the Black Loch, which formerly fed the Monkland Canal, and close to the former boundary between Stirlingshire and Lanarkshire.

Longriggend is a village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, with a population of approximately 200.

Rough Castle Fort is a Roman fort on the Antonine Wall roughly 2 kilometres south east of Bonnybridge near Tamfourhill in the Falkirk council area, Scotland. It is owned by the National Trust for Scotland.

Longriggend railway station was a railway station serving the village of Longriggend, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The station was part of the Slamannan Railway which amalgamated with several other local railways to form the Monkland Railways.

Greenhill is a village which lies in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. The village is located on the outskirts of Bonnybridge, 4.3 miles (6.9 km) west of Falkirk. Greenhill is situated south of the Forth and Clyde Canal and north of the railway line at Greenhill Junction. According to the 2001 census the village has 1,265 residents.

The Westerglen transmitting station is a facility for longwave and mediumwave broadcasting established in 1932 at Westerglen Farm, 2 miles (3 km) south west of Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland (grid reference NS868773). Four medium wave radio programmes are broadcast from the site on frequencies of 810, 909, 1089 and 1215 kHz and a long wave service on 198 kHz. There are three guyed steel lattice mast radiators on the site, which are insulated against ground. These carry combinations of the above services. There is a shorter fourth mast that carries non broadcast services. One of the masts carries the long wave transmission in a synchronised group with the transmitters at Droitwich and Burghead on the same frequency (until 1989 200 kHz, now 198 kHz). This mast is of guyed steel lattice construction with triangular cross-section and it carries a 'capacity hat', which increases the antenna's efficiency, at the top. The site is owned and operated by Arqiva.
