551st United States Air Force Hospital

The Barnstable County Correctional Facility is the county jail for Barnstable County. It was opened in 2004, replacing an earlier structure from the 1930s. The building also houses the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff, James M. Cummings hired former Massachusetts 10th district congressional candidate, Jeff Perry as "special sheriff" on 25 January 25, 2011. The facility is located within the established boundaries of Massachusetts Military Reservation, though it is outside the gated and fenced security perimeter and is thus accessible by the general public.

Massachusetts National Cemetery is a U.S. National Cemetery located in Bourne, Massachusetts, in Barnstable County on Cape Cod, approximately 65 miles (105 km) southeast of Boston, Massachusetts and adjacent to the Otis Air National Guard Base. As of 2021, over 78,000 have been interred there.

The Upper Cape Regional Transfer Station (UCRTS) is a municipal waste transfer facility located within Joint Base Cape Cod. The facility is within the town limits of Falmouth, but on state-owned land at the southern end of the military base, and is about a mile west of the Falmouth entrance gate. It is one of two truck-to-rail trash transfer facilities on Cape Cod, with the other being the Yarmouth-Barnstable Regional Transfer Station.

The Otis Air Force Base BOMARC site was a Cold War USAF launch complex for Boeing CIM-10 Bomarc surface-to-air missiles. Equipped with IM-99Bs (56 missiles: 28 solid-state, 28 liquid-state), the site had 28 Model IV "coffin" shelters, on 60 acres (24 ha).The site was run by the 26th Air Defense Missile Squadron, initially part of the Boston Air Defense Sector, 26th Air Division.

Barnstable County Hospital was a hospital operated by Barnstable County, Massachusetts which was operational from the late 1800s to 1995. It was located in Pocasset, a village in Bourne. It was used after its closing as a medical examiner's office until 1999, when it was finally closed for good. The hospital was the location of the autopsy of John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife, and her sister after their deaths. Within the county, it was officially run by the Barnstable County Hospital Department, until the hospital was closed on May 1, 1995. In 2003, an agreement was entered which would allow for the creation of affordable housing on the site of the hospital. The site was completely leveled, except for two buildings.

The Cape Cod Airshow & Open House was an airshow held in August of every odd numbered year at Otis Air National Guard Base in Falmouth, Massachusetts. It most recently was run in 2007 after a six-year hiatus. The show in 2003 was canceled because of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the show in 2005 was canceled for unknown reasons. The most recent show exhibited the 101st Air Refueling Wing, the 102nd Fighter Wing, the 103rd Fighter Wing, the 104th Fighter Wing, and various other aircraft from the United States and Canada. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds performed as well. The show was usually attended by several hundred thousand spectators. The next Cape Cod Air Show & Open House was scheduled for September 4 & 5, 2021, but has been cancelled. The Blue Angels were scheduled to perform on those dates. airshownetwork.com

The Cataumet Schoolhouse is a historic school building at 1200 County Road in Bourne, Massachusetts. Built in 1894, it served the town as a schoolhouse until 1934, and then as a community center until 1960. It is a well-preserved example of a 19th-century one-room schoolhouse, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

Pine Hill, in Bourne, Massachusetts, United States, is the highest point in Barnstable County and, by extension, Cape Cod. At 306 feet (93 m), it is higher than Dennis's 160-foot (49 m) Scargo Hill, sometimes thought to be the highest on the peninsula, among other local favorites.It is located off Frank Perkins Road, within the Camp Edwards portion of the Massachusetts Military Reservation. Access to it is restricted, not only because it is on a military facility but because it lies at the rear of an artillery range.

United States Coast Guard Base Cape Cod is a United States Coast Guard base located in Sandwich, Massachusetts. It was founded in August 2014 as the single point for Deputy Commandant for Mission Support for the United States Coast Guard First District.
