Vinkega

Windlust is a smock mill in Noordwolde, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1860 and is in working order. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument.

Noordwolde (West Frisian: Noardwâlde) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 3,600 as of 2017. Noordwolde-Zuid, the settlement to the south of Noordwolde is considered a separate village.There is a restored windmill in the village, Windlust. The National Museum of Weaving is located in the village. There is a natural lake, the Spokedam, which is partly surrounded by a beach, on the outskirts of Noordwolde. There are several camp sites near the lake such as "Hanestede" and the bungalow park "The Bosmeer". There is a swimming pool beside the Spokedam. There are two supermarkets and several other shops and restaurants in the village, and the largest model train shop (G-scale) in Europe is in Noordwolde.

De Hoeve is a village in the Dutch municipality of Weststellingwerf in Friesland. It is located in an agriculture area between Wolvega and Noordwolde. De Hoeve has approximately 410 inhabitants (2017).

Steggerda (West Frisian: Steggerde) is a village of the Dutch municipality of Weststellingwerf. The village consists of one long stretch with housing and has a population of 1,049. The village was first mentioned in 1408 as Steggerden. The etymology is unknown. Steggerda is a Catholic enclave in a predominantly Protestant region. In 1759, a clandestine church was built on top of a horse barn. In 1839, the first church was built which was replaced in 1921. Steggerda was home to 560 people in 1840. In 1915, a dairy factory was opened. The factory was supposed to be demolished, however a group of villagers salvaged the steam engine. In 2011, a dairy steam museum opened.

Zandhuizen (West Frisian: Sânhuzen) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 310 in 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1543 as Santhuesen, and means sand houses. Zandhuizen was probably founded as an outpost of the monastery Rinsumageest in the 11th century.Zandhuizen was home to 67 people in 1840.

Nijeholtpade (West Frisian: Nijeholtpea) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 485 in 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1399 as Nyeholepat, and means "new low-lying path". Nije (new) has been added to distinguish from Oldeholtpade. The Dutch Reformed church was built in 1525, and has a bell tower. The church was a replacement of a wooden church.Nijeholtpade was home to 150 people in 1840.

Wilhelminaoord is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Westerveld, and lies about 26 km northwest of Hoogeveen. Wilhelminaoord was one of the farming colonies established by the Society of Benevolence in 1821 to decrease poverty by providing sustainable employment for able-bodied poor people. Along with the other colonies constructed by the Society, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2021 because of its testimony to a unique method of housing reform and its urban planning. The settlement was named after Wilhelmina of Prussia.The Colony Church is a Dutch Reformed church which dates from 1853. Attendance used to be mandatory. In 2009, it was decommissioned and is nowadays used for weddings, conferences and parties.

Oosterstreek (West Frisian: Easterstreek) is a small village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 535 in 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1974 as Oosterstreek, and is a new name for the linear settlement along the Noordwolde to Boijl road, however it was first used around 1930 by the local football club. It means "eastern region" (as viewed from Noordwolde). The area around Oosterstreek was a peat excavation region, and nowadays mainly consists of heath.

Peperga (West Frisian: Pepergea) is a small village in Weststellingwerf in the province Friesland of the Netherlands. As of 2017, it has a population of 85 people, living in approximately 35 houses, and is characterized by detached houses, several businesses and a church. Peperga is located on the A32 between Wolvega and Steenwijk, with public transportation offering a service to the nearby villages of Steggerda and De Blesse. Peperga is best known as the birthplace of Peter Stuyvesant, the last Director-General of the Dutch colony of New Netherland before the colony was taken by the English and subsequently renamed New York. The church, completed in 1810, was formerly dedicated to Saint Nicholas but is now named after Stuyvesant.

Nijensleek is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Westerveld, and lies about 5 km north of Steenwijk. The village was first mentioned in 1402 as Nyensleker bure, and means "new natural stream". Nijensleek is a road village which developed in the Late Middle Ages as a peat excavation settlement.Nijensleek was home to 363 people in 1840. In 1934, a Reformed Church was built as an aisleless church with ridge turret.

Oldeberkoop (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɔldəbərˈkoːp]; West Frisian: Aldeberkeap) is a village consisting of about 1,580 inhabitants in the municipality of Ooststellingwerf in the east of Friesland, the Netherlands.

Baars is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality Steenwijkerland, about 4 km northwest of the town of Steenwijk. It was first mentioned in 1340 as Baersdijc, and refers to a farm named Baers which is the Dutch word for the European perch. It is a statistical entity, and has its own postal code. It used to have place name signs, but they have been removed again. The hamlet shares resources with neighbouring Witte Paarden.
