Withersfield is a village and civil parish in the West Suffolk district of Suffolk in eastern England. In 2011 its population was 450. The village has a public house and a village hall. Withersfield centres on the parish church, St Mary the Virgin. The village is set in a rural location, surrounded by farmland, yet is also only a mile north from the busy market town of Haverhill. Surrounding villages include Great Wratting, West Wickham and Great Thurlow.

Over and Lawn Woods

Over and Lawn Woods is a 43.3 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Haverhill in Suffolk. It is listed by Natural England as a Suffolk site but most of Over Wood is in Cambridgeshire.These are ancient coppice with standards woods on chalky boulder clay, and the dominant trees are pedunculate oak and ash. The fauna and flora is diverse, including the nationally restricted oxlip. A stream and pond provide additional ecological interest.The site is private land with no public access.

Haverhill South railway station

Haverhill South railway station was located in Haverhill, Suffolk. It was a terminus on the Colne Valley and Halstead Railway. In 1924 passenger services were diverted to Haverhill North (on the Stour Valley Railway) which also served the town, but Haverhill South continued to be served by freight trains until 1965. Since closure the station has been demolished and the site redeveloped.
