Dunstable North railway station

Heart Four Counties was a local radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Heart network. It broadcast to Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire. The station launched on Friday 16 July 2010 as a result of a merger between Heart Milton Keynes (formerly Horizon Radio), Heart Northants (formerly Northants 96), Heart Dunstable (formerly 97.6 Chiltern Radio) and Heart Bedford (formerly 96.9 Chiltern Radio).

Classic Gold WABC was a United Kingdom radio station, broadcasting to much of Wolverhampton and Shropshire from studios in Dunstable. Regional news, weather, events and community information, local advertising (separate for Wolverhampton and Shropshire) and a four-hour live weekday regional programme came from a studio centre in Wolverhampton, home also to Beacon Radio. The station, along with the rest of the Classic Gold network, was replaced on 3 August 2007 by a new network called simply Gold, the result of the merger of the Classic Gold and Capital Gold networks under one owner, GCap Media. All Saints Academy (formerly The Northfields Technology College) is a co-ed secondary school located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. All Saints educates 11- to 16-year-olds, as well as mainly from the town of Dunstable and some surrounding villages. In addition, the school offers further education for 16- to 18-year-olds through its sixth form department.

Houghton Regis Marl Lakes is a 20.1-hectare (50-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Houghton Regis in Bedfordshire. It was notified under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 in 1988.The site is a large disused chalk quarry, and it is listed by Geo-East as a "Chalk Place to Visit" due to its exposure of Totternhoe stone. It is a rare example of standing water in chalk. It is important both ornithologically and for its range of dragonflies. There are two marl lakes, one deep and one shallow, which have aquatic plants and molluscs, with fens in a waterlogged area between the lakes.The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire managed the site between 2011 and 2015. A Trust noticeboard at the northern and southern entrances to the site names it as Houghton Regis Chalk Pit. The Wildlife Trust BCN produced newsletters during their management period and these are retrievable online. Volunteers helped with tasks at various times. Youth Ranger activities, took place and these included tasks such as scrub-clearing using conservation tools and controlled bonfires. The Chalk Pit regularly appeared in Wildlife BCN's North Chilterns Chalk volunteer programme

Ashton (Church of England) Middle School was a middle school in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England, under the Central Bedfordshire Local Education Authority. Intake came from lower schools in the town and surrounding villages. The majority of graduates moved up to one of the upper schools in the town: All Saints Academy, Queensbury Academy or Manshead School In August 2014 Central Bedfordshire Council made the decision to close the school in 2016.

Grove House, also known as Dunstable Municipal Offices, is a municipal building in High Street North, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. The building, which forms the offices and meeting place of Dunstable Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.

Weatherfield Academy (formerly Weatherfield School) is a mixed special school located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. The school accepts pupils from all over the Central Bedfordshire area. The school is for pupils whose special educational needs are categorised as Moderate Learning Difficulties. The school educates children aged 7 – 19 Facilities at Weatherfield include a school farm, IT suites, CDT department, Food economics department, and a science laboratory. In February 2011, Central Bedfordshire Council submitted proposals to merge Weatherfield with Glenwood School and Hillcrest School over the three sites in Dunstable and Houghton Regis. However, after consultation with pupils, staff and parents, Weatherfield was not included in the merger, and was converted to academy status instead. Glenwood School and Hillcrest School merged to form The Chiltern School in 2012.

The town of Dunstable in Bedfordshire, England was governed as an ancient borough between the twelfth century and the sixteenth century. The town’s borough status was effectively lost after 1541, following the English Reformation. Urban local government returned to the town in 1863 with the establishment of a local board. The following year borough status was restored to the town when it was made a municipal borough. Dunstable Borough was abolished in 1974, merging with other districts to become South Bedfordshire.

Dunstable ( DUN-stə-bəl) is a market town and civil parish in Bedfordshire, England, east of the Chiltern Hills, 30 miles (50 kilometres) north of London. There are several steep chalk escarpments, most noticeable when approaching Dunstable from the north. Dunstable is the fourth largest town in Bedfordshire and along with Houghton Regis forms the westernmost part of the Luton/Dunstable urban area.
