Tutnall and Cobley

Tutnall is a village in the Bromsgrove district of Worcestershire. It is in the civil parish of Tutnall and Cobley which has a population of 1,543. The A448 used to run through the centre of the village, though this is now bypassed by a modern dual carriageway.

Tardebigge Locks or the Tardebigge Flight is the longest flight of locks in the UK, comprising 30 narrow locks on a two-and-a-quarter-mile (3.6 km) stretch of the Worcester and Birmingham Canal at Tardebigge, Worcestershire. It raises the waterway 220 feet (67 m), and lies between the Tardebigge tunnel (580 yards or 530 metres long) to the North and the Stoke Prior flight of six narrow locks to the South. The Tardebigge Engine House is also on this stretch.

Tardebigge Engine House (grid reference SO988689) is a former canal-pumping engine house at Tardebigge, Worcestershire, England. It is grade II listed. It stands near lock 57 (one lock below the top lock, 58) of the Tardebigge Locks on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and contained a steam-powered Newcomen-Watt beam engine, which was removed in 1915. It was used to pump water from the adjacent Tardebigge feeder reservoir, which is about 50 ft (15.2 m) below the level of the top pound of the canal.At one time, a pub, The Tylers Lock, it was advertised for sale in April 2007, with planning permission to convert it into a residence.Tylers Lock is now owned by Vigo Software Ltd, and had planned to convert the building into offices; however planning permission was rejected in 2008. The building was converted into luxury apartments in 2012.

The Lickey Incline, south of Birmingham, is the steepest sustained main-line railway incline in Great Britain. The climb is a gradient of 1 in 37.7 (2.65% or 26.5‰ or 1.52°) for a continuous distance of two miles (3.2 km). Constructed originally for the Birmingham and Gloucester Railway (B&GR) and opened in 1840 it is located on the Cross Country Route between Barnt Green and Bromsgrove stations in Worcestershire. In earlier times many trains required the assistance of banking locomotives with associated logistical considerations to ensure that the train reached the top; now only the heaviest of freight trains require such assistance.

Blackwell railway station was a railway station serving Blackwell in the English county of Worcestershire.

Blackwell Golf Club is a golf club situated in the village of Blackwell near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England. It has been host to regional qualifying for The Open Championship on many occasions and is recognised as one of the best courses in the county.

Finstall is a village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire, England, with a population of 663.Finstall Park, the home ground of Bromsgrove RFC, can be found in the village along with Bromsgrove Cricket, Tennis and Hockey Clubs, as well as their corresponding sporting facilities and club houses. It has one pub, The Cross Inn.

Blackwell is a village located in the North-East of Worcestershire and comes under the jurisdiction of Lickey and Blackwell Parish Council. Nearby large towns include Barnt Green and Bromsgrove. Worcester and Birmingham are also influential. The village had a station on the Birmingham and Gloucester Railway, at the summit of the Lickey Incline, however this closed in 1965.

HM Prison Hewell is a multiple security category men's prison in the village of Tardebigge in Worcestershire, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. On 16 October 2019, the Ministry of Justice announced that HMP Hewell's open site (the former HMP Hewell Grange) will close due to its current condition branded by inspectors as unacceptable and refurbishing would not deliver value for the taxpayer.

Tardebigge Lake is a large feeder reservoir, about 25 acres (100,000 m2) in size, built to supply water for the famous flight of locks running from Tardebigge towards Worcester, on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. It is maintained by the Canal and River Trust and still supplies water to the canal system. The lake is up to 40-foot (12 m) deep at the dam end, shelving off to around 15 feet (4.6 m) at the inlet end. Access to walkers is allowed to the dam end and the side of the lake alongside the canal path.

Burcot is a small village in the Bromsgrove district of Worcestershire. Burcot has a village hall, which is available for hire. It has a garden centre and the Guild of Craftsmen. The village was listed in the Domesday Book in 1086 when it was known as Bericote.
