Nasirec (pronounced [naˈsiːɾəts]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina in the Littoral region of Slovenia. It lies on the road from Kozina towards the border with Italy.The local church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and belongs to the Parish of Draga.

The Coastal–Karst Statistical Region (Slovene: obalno-kraška statistična regija, Italian: Litorale-Carso) is a statistical region in southwest Slovenia. It covers the traditional and historical regions of Slovenian Istria and most of the Karst Plateau, which traditionally belonged to the County of Gorizia and Gradisca. The region has a sub-Mediterranean climate and is Slovenia's only statistical region bordering the sea. Its natural features enable the development of tourism, transport, and special agricultural crops. More than two-thirds of gross value added are generated by services (trade, accommodation, and transport); most was generated by activities at the Port of Koper and through seaside and spa tourism. The region recorded almost a quarter of all tourist nights in the country in 2013; slightly less than half by domestic tourists. Among foreign tourists, Italians, Austrians, and Germans predominated. In 2012 the region was one of four regions with a positive annual population growth rate (8.1‰). However, the age structure of the population was less favourable: in mid-2013 the ageing index was 133.3, which means that for every 100 inhabitants under 15 there were 133 inhabitants 65 or older. The farms in this region are among the smallest in Slovenia in terms of average utilised agricultural area per farm and in terms of the number of livestock on farms.

Ocizla (pronounced [ɔˈtsiːzla]; Italian: Occisla) is a small village in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina in the Littoral region of Slovenia, near the border with ItalyThe local church is dedicated to Mary Magdalene and belongs to the Parish of Klanec.The Italian writer Scipio Slataper wrote his masterpiece Il mio Carso (My Karst) in Ocizla. Between 1933 and 1940, a cell of the anti-Fascist insurgent organization TIGR was active in the village.

Kozina (pronounced [kɔˈziːna] ; Italian: Cosina) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina in the Littoral region of Slovenia, close to the border with Italy.The village developed only after the railway was established; in 1825 there were only three houses in Kozina. It became an important center for teamsters, with twelve inns with stalls for teamsters' horses. Today it lies at the intersection of the A1 motorway (Ljubljana–Koper) with Route 7 (Trieste–Rijeka).

The Rosandra Valley (Italian: Val Rosandra, Slovene: Dolina Glinščice) is a valley centered on the Rosandra River (Slovene: Glinščica) in the municipality of Dolina in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, between the city of Trieste and the border with Slovenia. It is also included into a natural park, mostly set around the Rosandra River and the surrounding hills reach an elevation of 412 metres (1,352 ft). The northern end of the valley crosses the Italian-Slovenian border. The Rosandra Valley is part of the Karst geographical region. Tourist attractions in the valley are 40-metre (130 ft) Supet Falls near the village of Botazzo (Slovene: Botač) and Our Lady of Siaris Church (Italian: Santa Maria in Saris) perched high in the hills of the valley.
