Coles Mills is a ghost town in Delaware County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. The precise location of the extinct town is unknown to the GNIS.

The Buckeye Valley Local School District is located in Delaware, Ohio and is made up primarily of students from the Ashley and Ostrander areas. The district currently consists of two elementary schools (East in Ashley, West in Ostrander), one middle school and one high school (both in Troy Twp.) The school's colors are brown and gold and their mascot is the Fighting Barons.

Buckeye Valley High School is a rural public high school located in Delaware County's Troy Township, north of Delaware, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Buckeye Valley Local School District. The mascot is the Fighting Baron. BVHS was part of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference, but will be joining the Mid-State League in 2019.

The Little Brown Jug is a harness race for three-year-old pacing standardbred horses hosted by the Delaware County Agricultural Society since 1946 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds racetrack in Delaware, Ohio. The race takes place every year on the third Thursday after Labor Day. Along with the Hambletonian, a race for trotters, it is one of the two most coveted races for standardbreds. The event is named after Little Brown Jug, a pacer, who won nine consecutive races and became a USTA Hall of Fame Immortal in 1975.The race is the counterpart to the Jugette for three-year-old fillies.

The Delaware County Fairgrounds racetrack is a half-mile dirt racing oval for harness racing events in Delaware, Ohio operated by the Delaware County Agricultural Society since 1946. The most important race run here is the Little Brown Jug. The premier event in the United States for three-year-old pacers, it is the third and final leg of the Triple Crown of Harness Racing series.Some of the other races contested at the Delaware County Fairgrounds racetrack are the Little Brown Jugette, the Buckette 3YO Filly Trot, the Ohio Breeders Championship races, the Old Oaken Bucket, and the Ms Versatility Final.

Rutherford B. Hayes High School is a public high school in Delaware, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Delaware City School District. The school's mascot is the Pacer, a tribute to the Little Brown Jug, which takes place in Delaware. The school is named after President Rutherford B. Hayes, who was born in Delaware in 1822.

The Delaware Public Library is a former public library in Delaware, Ohio. The building was funded by Andrew Carnegie and built in the neoclassical style. It opened to the public in 1906. The library's collection of books and volumes rapidly expanded during its operational history. By the 1970s, the Delaware Public Library started to run out of space. In 1984, a new public library was constructed, and Delaware County, Ohio started using the Delaware Public Library for office space. The building was tripled in size during a construction and restoration project that lasted from 1999 to 2001. The Delaware Public Library is currently used to house a number of Delaware County agencies, including the Delaware County Board of Commissioners. The Delaware Public Library was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 because of the building's architectural significance.

Located in Delaware County, Grady Memorial Hospital has been the main hospital for Delaware, Ohio since 1904. Today it is a member hospital of OhioHealth, a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system.

The Delaware County Courthouse is located at 117 N Union St, Delaware, OH 43015 in Delaware, Ohio. The courthouse was placed on the National Register.

Austin Hall, also called Austin Manor, is a historic building in Delaware, Ohio. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on March 18, 1985. Originally built in 1923 on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University, it was sold by the university in 2018.

Ohio Wesleyan Female College was founded in 1853 in Delaware, Ohio. In 1877, the Ohio Wesleyan Female College merged with Ohio Wesleyan University.
