St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church (Wilmington, Delaware)

Little Italy is a neighborhood on the west side of Wilmington, Delaware. Little Italy is bounded roughly by 4th Street to the south, Union Street to the west, Clayton Street to the east, and Pennsylvania Avenue to the north. Like other neighborhoods with the "Little Italy" designation, Little Italy in Wilmington has a large Italian-American population. There are several Italian-American owned and operated businesses, including restaurants, law firms, and photographers, located in Little Italy. One of the central features of Little Italy is St. Anthony's of Padua Roman Catholic Church, which also includes a grade school and the Padua Academy, located outside of Little Italy but nearby on Wilmington's west side. St. Anthony's also hosts the Italian Festival, a week-long festival which takes place annually in June and celebrates Italian culture through food, music, a midway with rides and games, and games of chance generally found next to the church building.

Padua Academy is an all-girls Catholic high school in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington. The school strongly emphasizes college preparation, leadership, civic responsibility, and spirituality. Padua is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. It is a four-time winner of the "Superstars in Education" Award from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Postles House, also known as "The Gargoyle House", is a historic home located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1905, and is a three-story, "T"-shaped stone dwelling with eclectic Tudor Gothic style elements. It features two-story polygonal bays topped with battlements, steep parapeted gables, decorative wrought iron work, and a slate roof. Also on the property are a contributing carriage house.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is a Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, Delaware. Established in 1934, the church is an important part of the Greek community in Wilmington. The church complex also contains a Greek community center, and is the site of the church's annual Greek festival.

Eighth Street Park Historic District, also known as Tilton Park Historic District, is a national historic district located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 208 contributing buildings located around Eighth Street Park in Wilmington. It is a primarily residential district developed in the late-19th and early-20th century. They include rowhouse, semi-detached, and detached dwellings are in a variety of popular styles including Second Empire and Queen Anne. The oldest house is the James Tilton house (1802), home of Surgeon General of the United States Army James Tilton. Also located in the district is the Second Baptist Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, with a boundary increase in 1984.

Big August Quarterly is an annual religious festival held in Wilmington, Delaware (sometimes called "Big Quarterly" or "August Quarterly"). Begun in 1814 by Peter Spencer in connection with the "quarterly" meeting (or "conference") of the African Union Church—of the four meetings during the year, the one in August became the "annual conference" of the Church when ministers' assignments for the next year were announced, among other business—it was a time for free blacks and slaves alike to come together (from the multi-state area) and celebrate their faith with singing, dancing, testifying, and feasting. It is the oldest such celebration in the country.The August Quarterly became a kind of Independence Day for Black people on the Delmarva Peninsula. In the early years of the festival “abolitionists and Underground Railroad conductors of the stature of Thomas Garrett and Harriet Tubman were often in the Wilmington area to assist slaves who chose to escape”. The Big Quarterly has remained a time of reunion, religious revival and celebration of freedom for the people in and around Wilmington, Delaware.

Logan House is a historic hotel located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1865, and is a three-story, five bay by five bay, flat roofed brick building with Italianate elements. It has three one-story wings; one original brick wing, a wing added about 1910, and a concrete block wing added about 1960. Also on the property is a contributing brick carriage house. The hotel was named for American Civil War General John A. Logan. It has been owned by the Kelly family since 1889 and has been a traditional gathering place on St. Patrick's Day. In the 1930s, the hotel closed and only a restaurant and tavern remained in operation.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

It encompasses 180 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure developed in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. The district is primarily residential and includes a variety of Victorian-era mansions and large dwellings in a variety of popular architectural styles including Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Classical Revival, and American Four Square The houses are detached or semi-detached and are primarily three stories in height with extensive wings to the rear. The district also includes 20th century apartment complexes. Also located in the district is the St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and the Sailors and Soldiers Monument. The separately listed Howard Pyle Studios are also located in the district.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, with a boundary increase in 1987.

Cool Spring Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 316 contributing buildings, 3 contributing structures, and 3 contributing objects in located in and around Cool Spring Park in Wilmington. It developed in the late-19th century as a middle class residential area. They are primarily semi-detached dwellings in a variety of popular styles including Gothic Revival and Queen Anne. Also located in the district is the Cool Spring Pumping Station associated with the Cool Spring Reservoir, Cool Spring Elementary School, and Knights of Pythias Hall.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Water Witch Steam Fire Engine Company No. 5 is a historic fire station at 1814 Gilpin Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware. The 2+1⁄2-story brick building was designed by Edward L. Rice, Jr., a leading Wilmington architect, and built in 1893. The building is an architecturally eclectic mix of Queen Anne and Second Empire styling, and has retained many of its original interior details.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
