Newark is a village in Kendall County, Illinois, United States. The population was 992 at the 2010 census, up from 887 at the 2000 census.

Millington is a village in Kendall and LaSalle counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. The population was 617 at the 2020 census, down from 665 at the 2010 census.The Kendall County portion of Millington is part of the Chicago–Naperville–Joliet Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the LaSalle County portion is part of the Ottawa Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Licensed to Somonauk, Illinois, it serves DeKalb County and the Fox Valley, suburbs west of Chicago. It is owned by Nelson Multimedia Inc., with programming coming from Westwood One's "America's Best Music" service. WDYS is powered at 250 watts by day, and only 10 watts at night. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator W268DB at 101.5 MHz, licensed to Yorkville. The studios and transmitter are on Frazier Road in Plano.

The township was named after the Fox River, which in turn was likely named after the Fox Tribe of southeastern Wisconsin. According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.64 square miles (94.9 km2), of which 36.17 square miles (93.7 km2) (or 98.72%) is land and 0.47 square miles (1.2 km2) (or 1.28%) is water. It includes the villages of Millbrook and Millington.

Millbrook is a village in Kendall County, Illinois, United States. It was incorporated on November 5, 2002, and had a population of 335 at the 2010 census.The village is part of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Silver Springs State Fish and Wildlife Area is an Illinois state park on 1,350 acres (550 ha) in Kendall County, Illinois, United States. The park was established in the late 1960s and is named for the natural spring within its boundaries. The park has two artificial lakes and the Fox River flows through the northern end of the park. Silver Springs hosts a variety of activities including fishing, hunting, boating and hiking. The park has areas of native prairie restoration, a sledding hill and a seven-mile (11 km) equestrian trail. The prairie restoration areas hold many species of plants including lead plant, and purple coneflower.

The Edith Farnsworth House, formerly the Farnsworth House, is a historical house designed and constructed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe between 1945 and 1951. The house was constructed as a one-room weekend retreat in a rural setting in Plano, Illinois, about 60 miles (96 km) southwest of Chicago's downtown. The steel and glass house was commissioned by Edith Farnsworth. Mies created a 1,500-square-foot (140 m2) structure that is widely recognized as an exemplar of International Style of architecture. The retreat was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2006, after being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The house is owned and operated as a house museum by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In celebration of the 2018 Illinois Bicentennial, the Farnsworth House was selected as one of the Illinois 200 great places by the American Institute of Architects Illinois component (AIA Illinois) and was recognized by USA Today Travel magazine, as one of AIA Illinois' selections for Illinois "25 Must See Buildings".

Sandwich Community High School is a public four-year secondary education school located in Sandwich, Illinois, about 60 miles from Chicago. The high school is part of Sandwich Community Unit School District 430. The school is a member of the Interstate Eight Conference, and the school participates in Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Cross Country, Soccer, Golf, Boys/Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Boys/Girls Track & Field, Fishing, Swimming and Diving, Doing It, Scholastic Bowl, and all music-related competitions. The high school is currently a class 4A school in Football, while competing as class A or B in other events due to its enrollment size.
