Rastila (Swedish: Rastböle) is an eastern suburb in the Vuosaari district of Helsinki, Finland. Rastila lies to the north of the arterial road Vuotie (Sw. Norvägen); to the south lies Meri-Rastila (Sw. Havs-Rastböle), which is often understood as part of Rastila. Rastila metro station opened in 1998. Rastila is mostly populated by families in detached houses, but around the station there are new blocks of flats for 2000 inhabitants. Rastila is home to Helsinki's only campsite, Rastila Camping, which connects with the popular swimming beach at Vartiokylänlahti (Sw. Botbyviken). Vuosaari metro station (Finnish: Vuosaaren metroasema, Swedish: Nordsjös metrostation) is the ground-level terminus station of the M1 line of the Helsinki Metro. It serves the district of Vuosaari in East Helsinki. The station was opened on 31 August 1998 and was designed by the architect firm Esa Piironen Oy. It is located 1.2 kilometers east of Rastila metro station. In 2011, a 1.4 kilometer-long service rail was created from the end of the Vuosaari station to Vuosaari Harbour. The service rail connects the metro track to the railway network and replaced the previous, longer service rail line that ran through the district of Viikki. The service rail has been used to move heavy maintenance and construction machinery and materials, including those that were related to the Länsimetro project.A trial run with platform screen doors was conducted at Vuosaari. The project was delayed due to technical and safety related testing.

Vuosaari (Swedish: Nordsjö) is a neighbourhood in the City of Helsinki, Finland. It is located by the sea in East Helsinki and with its area of 15.38 km2 (5.94 sq mi) is geographically the largest district in the city. It also has two Helsinki Metro stations, Rastila and Vuosaari Vuosaari is one of the fastest-growing areas in Helsinki. The number of inhabitants has been increasing rapidly since early 1990s and it continues to grow as new residential areas are being built. Among other things, Vuosaari is noted for its nature and large, relatively unspoilt recreational seashore areas. One of these is Uutela, a popular nature park located in the southeastern corner of Vuosaari. The continual planning of new residential zones has in fact raised criticism, as many people would rather preserve Vuosaari's closeness to nature. Vuosaari is the location of a new major seaport in Helsinki, the Vuosaari Harbour. As of 2005, 7.7% of the population of Vuosaari are foreign citizens and 11.6% were born outside of Finland. This has given the neighbourhood an overtly multi-cultural image in Finnish folklore, even though the percentage is higher in many other places in the Capital Region. The two natural gas power plants of Helsingin Energia, the power utility of the city of Helsinki, are located in Vuosaari.

Vuotalo (Swedish: Nordhuset) is a cultural centre located in Vuosaari, Helsinki, Finland north of the Mosaiikkitori square, near the Columbus shopping centre, the Vuosaari metro station, the Vuosaari sports hall and the Vuosaari high school. The building was designed by Mikko Heikkinen and Markku Komonen and it was completed in 2001.: 71 

Columbus is a shopping centre in Vuosaari, Helsinki, Finland, right next to the Vuosaari metro station. It is owned by Citycon. The centre was completed in August 1996. The centre has a total surface area of over 20,000 m2 (220,000 sq ft). To the north of the shopping centre are located the Mosaiikkitori square and the Vuotalo cultural centre as well as the Vuosaari sports hall, and to the south of it are located the service centre Albatrossi and Cirrus, the highest residential building in Finland, which was completed in 2006.

Vartiokylä (Swedish: Botby) is a neighbourhood in the East Helsinki area of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Its name is derived from the ruins of an eleventh-century fortress on the Linnanvuori hill in Vartioharju, one of Vartiokylä's subdivisions. The working population of Helsinki started building their houses in the area after the completion of Uusi Porvoontie, a road to the downtown, in the 1930s. Nowadays the area has a few high density apartment areas as well as houses. Vartiokylä became a part of Helsinki in 1946. Most of the services in the district are located in the subdivision of Itäkeskus, in the area around one of the largest shopping centers in the Nordic Countries. Public transport in the area relies heavily on the Helsinki Metro. The stations of Itäkeskus, Myllypuro and Puotila service the neighbourhood. Several bus lines serve the areas not within walking distance of the stations. Two major highways, Itäväylä and Kehä I, intersect in Vartiokylä.

Cirrus is a high-rise cooperative apartment building in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Cirrus is the fifth tallest building in Finland with a height of 86 meters (282 feet). The building, which is located in Vuosaari in East Helsinki, has 28 floors (including two underground ones) and 140 apartments. The proposal for this building originally included a public observation terrace and cafe, but they were never built.The building was designed by the Finnish architect company YIT Group and construction commenced in early 2005. The building reached its final height on 15 March 2006. The roof was part of the setting of the music video of Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall's 2010 single Dreaming Wide Awake.

Puotila (Finnish), Botby gård (Swedish) is an eastern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.

Puotila metro station (Finnish: Puotilan metroasema, Swedish: Botby gårds metrostation) is a ground-level cut-and-cover metro station on the M1 line of the Helsinki Metro. There are 200 bicycle and 331 car parking spaces at Puotila. It serves the neighborhoods of Puotila and Puotinharju in East Helsinki. The station was opened on 31 August 1998, making it one of the newest stations in the Helsinki Metro. It was designed by the architect bureau Kaupunkisuunnittelu Oy Jarmo Maunula. It is located 1 kilometer from the Itäkeskus, and 2 kilometers from Rastila.
