Vuotalo (Swedish: Nordhuset) is a cultural centre located in Vuosaari, Helsinki, Finland north of the Mosaiikkitori square, near the Columbus shopping centre, the Vuosaari metro station, the Vuosaari sports hall and the Vuosaari high school. The building was designed by Mikko Heikkinen and Markku Komonen and it was completed in 2001.: 71 

Cirrus is a high-rise cooperative apartment building in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Cirrus is the fifth tallest building in Finland with a height of 86 meters (282 feet). The building, which is located in Vuosaari in East Helsinki, has 28 floors (including two underground ones) and 140 apartments. The proposal for this building originally included a public observation terrace and cafe, but they were never built.The building was designed by the Finnish architect company YIT Group and construction commenced in early 2005. The building reached its final height on 15 March 2006. The roof was part of the setting of the music video of Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall's 2010 single Dreaming Wide Awake.

Vuosaari (Swedish: Nordsjö) is a neighbourhood in the City of Helsinki, Finland. It is located by the sea in East Helsinki and with its area of 15.38 km2 (5.94 sq mi) is geographically the largest district in the city. It also has two Helsinki Metro stations, Rastila and Vuosaari Vuosaari is one of the fastest-growing areas in Helsinki. The number of inhabitants has been increasing rapidly since early 1990s and it continues to grow as new residential areas are being built. Among other things, Vuosaari is noted for its nature and large, relatively unspoilt recreational seashore areas. One of these is Uutela, a popular nature park located in the southeastern corner of Vuosaari. The continual planning of new residential zones has in fact raised criticism, as many people would rather preserve Vuosaari's closeness to nature. Vuosaari is the location of a new major seaport in Helsinki, the Vuosaari Harbour. As of 2005, 7.7% of the population of Vuosaari are foreign citizens and 11.6% were born outside of Finland. This has given the neighbourhood an overtly multi-cultural image in Finnish folklore, even though the percentage is higher in many other places in the Capital Region. The two natural gas power plants of Helsingin Energia, the power utility of the city of Helsinki, are located in Vuosaari.

Vuosaari metro station (Finnish: Vuosaaren metroasema, Swedish: Nordsjös metrostation) is the ground-level terminus station of the M1 line of the Helsinki Metro. It serves the district of Vuosaari in East Helsinki. The station was opened on 31 August 1998 and was designed by the architect firm Esa Piironen Oy. It is located 1.2 kilometers east of Rastila metro station. In 2011, a 1.4 kilometer-long service rail was created from the end of the Vuosaari station to Vuosaari Harbour. The service rail connects the metro track to the railway network and replaced the previous, longer service rail line that ran through the district of Viikki. The service rail has been used to move heavy maintenance and construction machinery and materials, including those that were related to the Länsimetro project.A trial run with platform screen doors was conducted at Vuosaari. The project was delayed due to technical and safety related testing.

Keski-Vuosaari (Finnish), Mellersta Nordsjö (Swedish) is an eastern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.

Aurinkolahti (meaning "Sunny Bay"; Swedish: Solvik) is a young and fast-growing sub-neighbourhood of the East Helsinki neighbourhood of Vuosaari, in Helsinki, Finland. Aurinkolahti's original name was Mustalahti ("Black Bay"), but for marketing reasons the decision was made to update it.

Rastila metro station (Finnish: Rastilan metroasema, Swedish: Rastböles metrostation) is a ground-level station on the M1 line of the Helsinki Metro. There are 134 bicycle and 34 car parking spaces at Rastila. It serves the residential areas of Meri-Rastila and Rastila in the district of Vuosaari, in East Helsinki. The station was opened on 31 August 1998. It was designed by Irmeli Grundström and Juhani Vainio. The station is located 2.0 kilometers from the Puotila metro station, and 1.2 kilometers from the Vuosaari metro station.

Mustavuori (Finnish), Svarta backen (Swedish) is a subdivision of Vuosaari, an eastern neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland.

Meri-Rastila (Finnish), Havsrastböle (Swedish) is an eastern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.

Vuosaarenhuippu is a recreational area in the northern part of Vuosaari in eastern Helsinki. Earlier it was the Vuosaari dumping ground and a place where land masses from construction sites was deposited. Through ecological restoration the area has been turned into a natural-like environment, the scale of which is unprecedented in the history of Helsinki. A large number of both flora and fauna inhabit the area. There are paths connecting the area to the nearby Mustavuori protected area.

Uutela (Swedish: Nybondas) is a nature park in Vuosaari, Helsinki, Finland. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and as one of Helsinki's best-preserved nature parks, Uutela attracts visitors from all over the Helsinki capital area. You can get there by taking the subway to Vuosaari and then either walk or take the bus 90K. Uutela has a small idyllic marina where people keep their boats, right next to which is cafe Kampela which offers traditional pancakes and salmon soup. This area is known for hikers and outdoor people because of its landscape and vegetation. Uutela is large enough to contain Skatta farm - one of several farms within the boundaries of Helsinki. The farm is known for having previously been inhabited by the artist Miina Äkkijyrkkä, but it is now rented to Suomen Setlementtisäätiö.

Mellunmäki (Swedish: Mellungsbacka) (Slang: Meltsi) has been a quarter of eastern Helsinki, Finland since 1946. Serious construction of the area began in 1950 and it was originally designed for 7000 inhabitants. There are over 8500 inhabitants in the area today (2013). Apart from the grocery stores Mellunmäki does not offer many services. Most people visit Kontula or Itäkeskus for services not offered by their home district. The metro station of Mellunmäki, the last stop on the line, is the world's northernmost metro station. There is a Fitness24Seven in the Metro station and a second hand shop next to it. Many buildings are being built in 2017, so the number of residents will rise after construction Several bus connections and subway access exist for the area. The closest notable neighbours are Kontula, Vesala, Länsimäki (a district of Vantaa), Vuosaari, and Vartioharju.
