Dunboyne

Dunboyne railway station is a railway station serving the town of Dunboyne in County Meath, Ireland. Dunboyne station features car parking for up to 300 cars, operated by APCOA Parking, enabling it to serve as a small park & ride stop for commuters to Dublin.

M3 Parkway is a Park and Ride railway station in County Meath beside Dunboyne and the M3 Motorway (Pace Interchange Junction 5). It is the terminus station on the Docklands to M3 Parkway Western Commuter service (during peak times Monday to Friday) and Clonsilla to M3 Parkway shuttle Commuter service at all other times. It mainly serves as a large Park and Ride site, with 1,200 free car park spaces.The station is no longer served by any bus routes. This is a major drawback for commuters in its catchment area.

Warrenstown College was an agricultural and horticultural college run by the Salesian congregation, in Drumree, County Meath.

Clonee (Irish: Cluain Aodha, meaning 'Aodh's pasture') is a village and a townland in County Meath, Ireland. It borders Fingal to the east at the townlands of Huntstown and Littlepace, and is sometimes used in addresses for housing in those townlands. The River Tolka passes the village.

Ongar is an outer western suburb of Dublin, Ireland. Developed on a greenfield basis since 2001, it comprises the townlands of Castaheany (northerly) and "Hansfield or Phibblestown" (southerly), within the ancient Barony of Castleknock, County Dublin. It is close to Castleknock, Blanchardstown and Clonsilla. The development has a number of amenities on the main street, there are several schools in the area, and the nearby railway line at Hansfield railway station connects to the Luas Green Line and ultimately the N3 national route / M3 motorway. Employers in the nearby business parks and "Greater Blanchardstown" include Intel, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Kepak and eBay.

Confey GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland and won Kildare's Club of the Year award in 2004.

The R157 is a Regional road between Dunboyne and Maynooth in Ireland. It connects to the M3 motorway (Blanchardstown to Kells). This route runs in Counties Kildare and Meath.

Hansfield railway station is a railway station in Fingal, Ireland. It lies on the Docklands to M3 Parkway Commuter service and serves the housing estates of Ongar and Barnwell in the townland of Hansfield.

Joseph Rafferty (c. 1974 – 12 April 2005) was an Irish murder victim. Following the assault of Rafferty's sister Carmel at a party, Rafferty confronted the alleged attacker, who reportedly told him that his family had connections to the "IRA" and could get him killed. Rafferty continued to receive threats that the Provisional IRA (PIRA) would get him for several months before his killing. The Rafferty family met with Daithí Doolan, the local Sinn Féin representative, asking him to have the threat stopped. On 12 April 2005, Rafferty was shot twice with a sawn-off shotgun, once in the leg and once in the chest, as he left his flat in at the Hayward apartment complex in Ongar, Dublin to go to work. Then Taoiseach Bertie Ahern stated in September 2005 that he was satisfied that there was no official involvement from the IRA. Ahern stated the murder was committed by "Elements, probably of criminality, claim[ing] they had links with republicans." Both Doolan and Gerry Adams have called for co-operation with the Garda in the investigation of Rafferty's murder. Adams stated he would be willing to meet with members of the Rafferty family. The tenth and twelfth reports of the Independent Monitoring Commission (IMC), released in April and October 2006 respectively, contain a table on the number of murders believed to be linked to paramilitary groups between March 2003 and August 2006. While Rafferty's murder is not included in the table, a footnote states that "a member or former member of PIRA may have been involved", and that while the IMC have no reason to believe the attack was carried out by the PIRA, they believe that members of Sinn Féin and the PIRA "were aware in advance of the threat and did not take sufficient action to prevent it." Rafferty's other sister, Esther Uzell-Rafferty, said "It's what we have been saying all along. We've never said [the murder] was sanctioned by the IRA's top man, but other Sinn Féin members knew it was going to happen and did nothing about it." Uzell-Rafferty ran as an independent candidate in the 2007 Irish general election for Dublin South-East to call on Daithí Doolan to fully co-operate with the Garda investigation into her brother's killing. In 2007 results, she received 673 first preference votes. Rafferty's family have stated there are similarities between the murder of Rafferty and that of Robert McCartney.

Ballymacoll Stud is a Thoroughbred stud farm of 300 acres in County Meath, Ireland. It is located in the townland of Ballymacoll, approximately two miles from the village of Dunboyne and four miles (6 km) from the town of Maynooth. Under the ownership of Michael Sobell and Arnold Weinstock and his family, it produced 29 individual Group One (G1) winners of 52 Group 1 races between 1960 and 2017. The stud was sold at auction in June 2017 for €8.15 million to an undisclosed buyer.Ballymacoll Estate was founded by Henry Hamilton (1760–1844). It remained in Hamilton hands until January 1911, when it was sold to Lord Nugent. Other owners and tenants followed, including Boss Croker, the trainer, the Inchape Family, and the Irish Army (during World War II). In April 1946, the property was purchased by the Hon. Dorothy Paget, daughter of Lord Queenborough and Pauline (daughter of William C. Whitney). She owned the stud until her death in February 1960 at the age of 54. Despite owning the stud, Dorothy Paget never actually visited the farm herself, but she did from time to time receive detailed reports, illustrated with photographs. Sir Gordon Richards, had been Dorothy Paget's principal jockey and trainer, right up the time of her death. He was instrumental in persuading the then Mr. Michael Sobell, the industrialist and philanthropist (later Sir Michael Sobell), and his son-in-law, Sir Arnold Weinstock, Managing Director of G.E.C. (later Lord Weinstock) to buy the farm in June 1960. The price agreed for the 300-acre (1.2 km2) farm, together with approximately 130 horses was £250,000. Following the purchase, horses surplus to requirements were sold at the Newmarket sales that year. In 1967 the main house at Ballymacoll, which had stood semi-derelict for many years was demolished. In 1974 Lord Weinstock's son, the Hon. Simon Weinstock became a partner in Ballymacoll with his father. Simon took a very active role in the running of the stud and took particular responsibility for the matings. Simon Weinstock died in May 1996, at the age of 44. Lord Weinstock died in July 2002, after which the stud was run by Weinstock's executors on behalf of his family as a self-sufficient operation. Soon after his death Islington won her first Group 1 race when winning the Nassau Stakes. She went on to win three more Group 1 races in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 North Light won the Epsom Derby to give the stud and Weinstock family their second success in this race. In recent years Ballymacoll have had added to their Group 1 record on the racetrack. In June 2008 Ballymacoll finished second in The Derby with Tartan Bearer. Conduit went on to win the St Leger at Doncaster in September. He then added to his Group 1 tally by winning the Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita in October. In 2009 Conduit continued his Group 1 trail by winning the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot. This result completed a 1-2 for Ballymacoll with Tartan Bearer second (his third second place in Group 1 races). Conduit returned to Santa Anita on November 7, 2009 to repeat his feat of 12 months previously and take the Breeders' Cup Turf for a second time. In 2013 Fiorente (having been sold to race in Australia) won the Melbourne Cup at his second attempt (he was second in 2012). He later won the Group 1 Australian Cup.

Leixlip Confey is a railway station in the north-eastern corner of County Kildare, Ireland. It is one of two stations that serve the civil parish of Leixlip, the other being Leixlip Louisa Bridge. Both stations lie on the Dublin to Maynooth commuter route.

Erin go Bragh GAA are a Dublin-based Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Clonee, Littlepace/Castaheaney/Ongar district in Dublin 15. The club currently fields one team in junior football (AFL 8 and Junior 2 Championship), one junior hurling team (AHL 8 and Junior F Championship) and one Ladies Gaelic Football team. They also have a boys and girls juvenile section fielding from Under 8-minor in football, hurling and camogie. There is also a club of the same name based in Warwickshire, England.
