Kollemcode (also spelled Kollencode, Kollangode, Kollamkode) is a municipality in Kanyakumari district, India. Kollencode is situated in Tamil Nadu-Kerala border. It has 33 wards. It is a coastal village on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Kollamcode is located 41 kilometres from Nagercoil and 36 kilometres from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, and also 64 kilometres from Kanyakumari This village is famous for the Thookam Festival, celebrated by all without regard to caste and religion. It is celebrated once a year usually a date in March or April when the Bharani comes in Meenam month in Malayalam calendar). Kollamcode is also famous for its Bhadrakaliamman temple which draws large pilgrimages especially during the Thookam festival. It is believed that if childless couples visit the temple during the festival they will be blessed with a child. Chairperson Rani (DMK), Vice Chairperson Baby (Congress) were elected through the indirect election on March 4, 2022.

The Neyyar River is 56 km long river which flows through the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala in India. It flows from the Agastya Mala (Agastyarkoodam) in the Western Ghats. The town Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram district, is situated on the banks of the river, is named after this river. The river flows through the Neyyar wildlife sanctuary and into the Neyyar resorvoir. It then flows towards the west though the towns of Kallikkad, Kattakkada, Ottashekharamangalam, Keezhattoor, Anavoor, Aruvipuram, Neyyantinkara and Thirupuram. The river then empties into the Arabian Sea at the Poovar estuary. Tributaries include the Kallar, Mullayar , and the Karavaliyar. It has several small canals along the river and the Neyyar Irrigation Project, "Neyyar Dam", is situated in this river. A safari park is located near the river. Neyyar river has been severely affected by sand mining. The catchment area is mostly forested, command area is under mixed dry land crops such as coconut, tapioca, pepper, plantain, rice, etc.

Chenkal is a village in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. Until the land-reforms ordinance enacted by the Communist regime in the 1950s, the village formed part of the estate of the jenmi (Yejamanan) of Kandamath. The ramparts of the medieval Kandamath Palace (Kandamath Madom Thampuran Vaka) and the ruins can still be seen in the area. Maheshwaram Shiva Parvathi temple, which houses the tallest Shiva lingam in the world, having a height of 111 ft, is located in this village.
