Newton Abbot is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since its 2010 creation by Anne-Marie Morris, elected as a Conservative.

Teignmouth lighthouse is a lighthouse situated on the south end of the Den promenade at Teignmouth, Devon, England. It is paired with a red polycarbonate leading light at Powderham Terrace behind the lighthouse. It has been a Grade II listed building since 1949.

Teignmouth Lifeboat Station is the base for Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) search and rescue operations at Teignmouth, Devon in England. The first lifeboat was stationed in the town in 1851 but the station was closed from 1940 until 1990. Since 2006 it has operated an Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat (ILB).

Teignmouth Lido is an open-air heated public lido at Eastcliff Walk, Teignmouth, Devon, England.Opened in 1976, Teignmouth Lido has a heated pool measuring 25 metres (80 ft) x 12.5 metres (40 ft). It is open to the public during the summer months and charges for admission. It is one of three outdoor pools operated by Teignbridge District Council, the others being at Buckfastleigh and Ashburton. A number of schemes have been proposed during the subsequent years to upgrade the lido and potentially give it a roof, but they have failed to gain funding.In 2010 Teignbridge District Council published "A Vision for Teignmouth", a regeneration proposal document which suggested a number of possible futures for the Lido: Retaining the public pool on a reduced site while allowing the building of private apartments or a hotel on the remainder. Refurbishing the pool and permitting the development of a spa complex on the rest of the site. Relocating the pool to an alternative site in Teignmouth such as the Den or Lower Point.The pool remained shut in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, and also in 2021 due to the installation of a heat pump to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the pool's heating system.

The River Teign is a river in the county of Devon, England. It is 31 mi (50 km) long and rises on Dartmoor, becomes an estuary just below Newton Abbot and reaches the English Channel at Teignmouth.

The remains of an unknown wreck were discovered on Church Rocks, off Teignmouth in 1975. The site was designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act on 3 August 1977. The wreck is a Protected Wreck managed by Historic England.

Teignmouth Community School is coeducational primary and secondary school located over two sites in Teignmouth in the English county of Devon.

Teignmouth ( TIN-məth) is a seaside town, fishing port and civil parish in the English county of Devon. It is situated on the north bank of the estuary mouth of the River Teign, about 12 miles south of Exeter. The town had a population of 14,749 at the last census in 2011.From the 1800s onwards, the town rapidly grew in size from a fishing port associated with the Newfoundland cod industry to a fashionable resort of some note in Georgian times, with further expansion after the opening of the South Devon Railway in 1846. Today, its port still operates and the town remains a popular seaside and day trip holiday location.

Woodway House is in Teignmouth, South Devon, England. It was at one time a farm on lands held by the Bishops of Exeter. In around 1815 a thatched "cottage" in the "cottage ornée" style of Horace Walpole's (1717–1797) Thames-side villa, Strawberry Hill, was built here by Captain James Spratt of the Royal Navy. Walpole built his villa at Twickenham in around 1747 and set a fashion for rural romantic Gothic-style retreats. A number were built by retired colonial administrators and military men who liked verandahs, spacious lawns and the sunny climes of Devon. Woodway House is Grade 2 Listed Building, a classic example of the romantic Devonian "chocolate box" cottage orné style of architecture.

Shaldon is a village and civil parish in South Devon, England, on the south bank of the estuary of the River Teign, opposite Teignmouth. The village is a popular bathing place and is characterised by Georgian architecture. At the 2011 Census, it had a population of 1,762. Its northern boundary follows the Teign estuary and its eastern boundary the English Channel. The village is part of the electoral ward of Shaldon and Stokeinteignhead, with a population in 2011 of 2,465.
