Mid-Levels is an affluent residential area on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It is located between Victoria Peak and Central. Residents are predominantly more affluent Hong Kong locals and expatriate professionals. The Mid-Levels is further divided into four areas (From the below, Mid-Levels of Central District can be subdivided into two Mid-Levels. Included: Mid-Levels West and Mid-Levels Central): Mid-Levels West (near Central, Sheung Wan and Sai Wan including Bonham Road, Caine Road, and Conduit Road etc. Mid-Levels Central (near Central, Admiralty and Wan Chai ,above the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens and Hong Kong Park .Including MacDonnell Road, Kennedy Road, Old Peak Road and Bowen Road) etc. Mid-Levels East (near Causeway Bay, including Jardine's Lookout, Stubbs Road and Mount Butler), Mid-Levels North (near North Point including Braemar Hill).Aside from the panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the rest of the city, it is also close to Central and Admiralty, which are both significant business areas, thus providing easy and convenient access for the business people living in Mid-Levels. An added attraction of the Mid-Levels is its close proximity to nature and comparatively better air quality than many parts of Hong Kong Island. Many wealthy people in Hong Kong are willing to pay higher residential property prices for a residence that is further away from pollution and yet remains close to the centre of the city. Many streets are named after former Governors of Hong Kong. Examples include Bonham Road (after George Bonham, 1848–1854) and Kennedy Road (after Arthur Edward Kennedy, 1872–1877). Many of the roads in this area are within walking distance of the Central Business District, which is accessible by the Mid-Levels escalator from Central. Many choices for housing are available, from ultra-luxurious apartments to compact, near-luxury apartments. The costs of these apartments vary considerably according to the size, location, and age of the building. The cost ranges from the high ten million dollars to over five hundred million Hong Kong dollars for an apartment in a Frank Gehry-designed building. Many prestigious colleges and schools are located in Mid-Levels, including the University of Hong Kong, St Francis' Canossian College, Island School, King's College, Ying Wa Girls' School, St. Paul's Co-educational College and St. Joseph's College, to name a few.

Babington Path (Chinese: 巴丙頓道) is a street in Mid-Levels, Hong Kong Island spanning from the junction between Bonham Road, St. Stephen's Lane and Park Road to Robinson Road. The street is intersected by Lyttelton Road.

The Tang Chi Ngong Building (Chinese: 鄧志昂樓) is a building of the University of Hong Kong. It is located on the main campus near Pok Fu Lam Road in Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It opened in 1931 and currently houses the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole. The exterior of the building became a declared monument in 1995.

Bonham Road is a main road in West Mid-Levels, Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong, running mainly East-West. The road connects Pok Fu Lam Road in the west, near the University of Hong Kong, and Caine Road in the east, at the junction with Hospital Road and Seymour Road. It was named after Sir George Bonham, the third Governor of Hong Kong. It was renamed Nishi-Taisho Dori (西大正通) during Japanese occupation of Hong Kong.

The University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) is located at 90 Bonham Road, next to the University of Hong Kong's East Gate entrance. Its exhibition galleries occupy the Fung Ping Shan Building as well as the first floor of the TT Tsui Building, where also the Museum Store is housed on the ground floor. The two buildings are joined by a bridge. The Fung Ping Shan Building was graded as a Grade II Historic Building in 1981 and the exterior of Fung Ping Shan Building is now a declared monument under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance.

King's College (Chinese name:英皇書院), often informally referred to simply as King's or K.C., is a single-sex boys' government-funded secondary school located at 63A Bonham Road, Mid-levels, Hong Kong. It currently serves as a secondary education institution for pupils in forms 1–6. King's College is highly selective, only accepting 8 per cent of applicants in 2012. On 2 December 2011, the Antiquities and Monuments Office declared King's College a monument under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance.

St Stephen's Girls' College (SSGC) (Chinese: 聖士提反女子中學) is a grant school in Hong Kong under the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican Church). Established in 1906, SSGC is a top girls' school and among the oldest schools in Hong Kong. It is managed by the St. Stephen's Girls' College School Council. The school first opened in 1906. The first principal was Miss Carden. Originally on Caine Road, the school moved to its current location at Lyttelton Road, Mid-Levels, in 1923. It has a history of voluntary social service and involvement in charitable work going back to 1920.In 2001, the school was one of a group of "traditional élite schools" criticised by the then Secretary of Education and Manpower Fanny Law for what she saw as reliance on rote teaching. Staff from the school defended it.

St. Paul's College (SPC; Chinese: 聖保羅書院) is an Anglican day school for boys and girls in Hong Kong. It was established in 1851, the oldest continuously-operated school in Hong Kong. The college first opened in 1851 with only one tutor and nine pupils. Today, it has more than 1,200 pupils in the secondary section and nearly 600 pupils in the primary section.St. Paul's comprises an all-boys primary school section (Primary 1–6) and secondary section (Forms 1–6). The secondary school campus is situated in the Mid-Levels area, part of Hong Kong Island's Western District, whilst the primary school operates in a dedicated campus at Pok Fu Lam in the Island's Southern District. The College Council enjoys a special status in Hong Kong, in that it is a statutory body incorporated by a local ordinance, the St. Paul's College Council Incorporation Ordinance (Cap 1102, Laws of Hong Kong). The aim of the college is to "provide a liberal education to Chinese youths in the English language upon Christian principles."

Diocesan Native Female Training School (DNFTS, Chinese: 曰字樓女館) was a school under the Anglican Church of Hong Kong in the 19th century, founded in 1860 and closed down in 1868. Its premises now belong to today's Bonham Road Government Primary School(般咸道官立小學). In 1869, another institution called Diocesan Home and Orphanage (DHO, later renamed Diocesan School and Orphanage, and now known as Diocesan Boys' School) was founded in the same place. Due to the obvious differences in founding groups, vision of education, personnel arrangement and students’ background, DNFTS has been regarded only as a forerunner, and called ‘the First Foundation’ by DHO and later DBS. Using 1869 as its founding year, DBS calls itself ‘the Second Foundation’. As for Diocesan Girls' School, founded in Rose Villas near DSO in 1899, it claims to be the successor of DNFTS and traces the founding year back to 1860.

Western Street is an uphill one-way street (from north to south) in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong. It connects Bonham Road in the south and Connaught Road West in the north. There are 337 units in 17 buildings in the street. Addresses are odd on the west side of the street, and mostly even on the east side. However, on the newer part of the street, on the reclamation north of Queen's Road West, the east side has both odd and even numbered addresses.

Kau Yan Tsung Tsin Church, also known as Tsung Tsin Mission of Hong Kong Kau Yan Church, is a church in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong. The building is located at Western Street, between Third and High Streets.

The Stephen Hui Geological Museum (Chinese: 許士芬地質博物館) is the first and only geological museum in Hong Kong. It is located on the ground and first floors of the James Hsioung Lee Building (厲樹雄科學館), in the University of Hong Kong Main Campus. The museum is part of the Department of Earth Sciences, the only earth sciences department in Hong Kong. With the goal of making the rock collection available for public viewing, the museum opened on January 16, 2009. It houses around 10,000 catalogued specimens from different parts of the world. The museum is open from Mondays to Fridays, 1PM to 6PM, with mornings reserved for guided group tours.
