San Diego City College

East Village High School (EVHS) is a public San Diego Unified high school located on the campus of San Diego City College in downtown San Diego, California enrolling grades 9 to 12. It was previously named San Diego Early/Middle College until 2016.

City College is a light rail station on the San Diego Trolley's Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines. It is located in the East Village neighborhood of the city and serves students at San Diego City College and San Diego High School, workers at warehouse facilities located on the outskirts of Downtown, and an increasing number of new apartment complexes.This station was closed from September 10, 2012 until November 16, 2012, for renovations as part of the Trolley Renewal Project, during which a temporary stop was erected one block away on C Street between 10th and 11th Avenues.

San Diego High School (SDHS) is an urban public high school located on the northern edge of Balboa Park, in San Diego, California, United States. It is the oldest high school in the San Diego Unified School District, one of the oldest public schools in all of California, and the oldest still on its original site.

Vantage Pointe Condominium is a high-rise 40 Story building in San Diego. Bounded by Ninth and tenth Avenues, and A and B Streets, construction began in 2006 and ended in 2008. It is one of Downtown San Diego's largest apartment buildings, surpassed only by the Pinnacle West Tower by about 60 feet. In 2009 the building's owners announced they will refund all the purchase deposits made for its units.Architect critics have criticized the building's lack of "human-scale relationship at street level," thus earning it the "Grand Onion" award by the San Diego Architectural Foundation.

The 1965 AFL Championship Game was the sixth American Football League's championship game, played on December 26 at Balboa Stadium in San Diego, California.It matched the Western Division champion San Diego Chargers (9–2–3) and the Eastern Division champion Buffalo Bills (10–3–1) to decide the American Football League (AFL) champion for the 1965 season. The defending champion Bills entered the game as 6½ point underdogs; the Chargers had won the first regular season meeting on October 10 by a convincing 34–3 score, and tied the Thanksgiving rematch at twenty points each.In favorable 60 °F (16 °C) conditions on the day after Christmas, the Bills shut out the Chargers and repeated as champions, scoring two touchdowns in the second quarter, one on a punt return. They added three field goals in the second half to win 23–0. Of the ten AFL title games, this was the only shutout: the Chargers had advanced to five of the first six, but won only one, in 1963. Bills' quarterback Jack Kemp, the league's most valuable player, was named MVP of the game; he and Paul Maguire were among the five ex-Chargers on the Bills' roster that were previously released by San Diego head coach Sid Gillman.This was the last AFL Championship to end the season; the AFL–NFL merger agreement was made the following June, and the first Super Bowl followed the 1966 season.

Downtown San Diego is the city center of San Diego, California, the eighth largest city in the United States. In 2010, the Centre City area had a population of more than 28,000. The Chargers' Keith Lincoln was named the game's most valuable player (MVP). At the end of the regular season, the Chargers (11–3) won the Western Division for the third time in the four-year existence of the AFL. In the Eastern Division, the Patriots and the Buffalo Bills had identical 7–6–1 records, which required a tiebreaker playoff game on December 28 in Buffalo.

It was played on December 24 at Balboa Stadium in San Diego, California, and the Oilers were three-point favorites.

Balboa Stadium is an American football and soccer stadium in San Diego, California. Just east of San Diego High School, the original stadium was built in 1914 as part of the 1915 Panama–California Exposition, also in Balboa Park, with a capacity of 15,000. A horseshoe design that opened to the south, it was designed by the Quayle Brothers architectural firm and originally called City Stadium. The capacity was raised to 34,000 in 1961 with an upper deck for the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League (AFL); it was their home field from 1961 through 1966.Due to seismic safety concerns, the stadium was demolished in the 1970s and a smaller venue with a 3,000-seat capacity was built, opening in 1978. Owned by the City of San Diego, it is leased to the San Diego Unified School District, which is responsible for its maintenance. It is currently used for professional soccer and high school events (football, soccer, track, graduation ceremonies, and special events). The stadium has an artificial turf field and lights.

NewSchool of Architecture & Design (NewSchool) is a private for-profit college in San Diego that focuses on architecture and design. NewSchool comprises two schools: The School of Architecture and Construction Management houses the undergraduate and graduate architecture and construction management programs while the School of Design at NewSchool offers undergraduate design degrees. The school is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) and offers Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Master of Architecture (M.Arch). Until 2020, NewSchool was part of Laureate Education, which operates an international network of accredited campus-based and online universities. In the first quarter of 2020, the Board of Directors of NewSchool of Architecture & Design and its parent Laureate Education, Inc. agreed to the transfer of ownership of NewSchool to Ambow NSAD, Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Ambow Education Holding, Ltd. of the Cayman Islands and Bejing, People's Republic of China.

Imperial Bank Tower, also known as 701B, is the 25th tallest building in San Diego, California and is a prominent fixture in San Diego's skyline. The 24-story skyscraper has a height of 355 ft (108 m) and is located in the Core district of Downtown San Diego and was constructed in 1982.

Symphony Towers is a 1.2-million-square-foot late modernist two-tower hotel and office complex located in the historic Financial District in downtown San Diego, California, on B Street. The mixed-use, high-rise building includes a 34-story office building with 530,000 square feet of rentable space, the 264-room Marriott Vacation Club Pulse San Diego, a five-level parking structure and the 2,255-seat Copley Symphony Hall. In addition, the penthouse floor houses the exclusive University Club, and the tower has a helipad on the roof. At 152 m (499 ft), Symphony Tower building is the second tallest skyscraper in San Diego, only one foot under One America Plaza, the city's tallest at 152.4 m (500 ft). Douglas P. Wilson, current chairman and C.E.O. of Douglas Wilson Companies (DWC), partnered with Charlton Raynd Ventures to develop the project which opened in 1989. In 1988, during the course of construction, the project stalled and was acquired by London & Edinburgh Investment, Inc, a subsidiary of London-listed London & Edinburgh Trust PLC. The construction was completed and the office building fully leased. The project was retained by LEI and Charlton Raynd as an investment for several years. Designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Symphony Towers is widely seen as one of Downtown's premier locations.
