Woonona railway station

Woonona () is a suburb north of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, south of Sydney. It is served by Woonona Station on the South Coast Line, and by the Princes Highway. The suburb has a strip of commerce along the highway and several historic buildings. It is mostly light-density residential, though some new two-storey buildings have appeared. The local beach is known for surfing conditions, and surfers frequent it during high wave times. A good swell will bring in many locals. There are a variety of breaks, including the northside of Collins rock, the southern side and the famous "Dorrigo Ave" break.

Bellambi () is a suburb of Wollongong in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. It has a railway station (opened 1889) on the NSW TrainLink South Coast Line. Bellambi is situated directly north of Corrimal and east of Russell Vale. It has a beach, Bellambi Beach, on the Wollongong to Thirroul Bike Track. Bellambi lies on the flat northern Illawarra coastal plain, with views of the escarpment to the west, one of note being Broker's Nose, 440 metres high. To the east is Bellambi Beach and a creek inlet in a reserve, and to the south of the inlet is Bellambi Harbour (formerly known as Port Bellambi) and Bellambi Point. The original jetty was constructed in 1858. On 28 August 1862 a telegraph line was constructed between Wollongong and Bellambi. In 1863 a second jetty was built at the harbour. In 1887 a new jetty was constructed at Bellambi Bay. In 1927 the Bellambi Mines Rescue Station was established. The public school was opened in 1956. In 1965 the rock pool was under construction.

Bulli Jetty at Sandon Point, was first built in 1863 and was abandoned in 1943. During that time it was used by the Bulli Coal Company in the transportation of coal from the Bulli mine to the ships for export to other destinations. D. H. Lawrence who visited Thirroul in 1922 and lived only about 900 meters from the jetty described it as, a long, high jetty straddling on great tree-trunk poles out on to the sea, and carrying a long line of little red-coal trucks, the sort that can be tipped up…As a rule the jetty was as deserted as if it were some relic left by an old invader. Then it had spurts of activity, when steamer after steamer came blorting and hanging miserably round, like cows to the cowshed on a winter afternoon. Then a little engine would chuff along the pier, shoving a string of tip-up trucks, and little men would saunter across the sky-line, and there would be a fine dimness of black dust round the low, red ship at the end of the jetty.

Corrimal High School is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school located in East Corrimal, a suburb of Wollongong in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1951, the school enrolled approximately 320 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, including 17 percent who identified as Indigenous Australians and 20 percent who were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the New South Wales Department of Education; and the principal is Paul Roger.

East Corrimal is a northern seaside suburb of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Predominantly residential, the suburb includes Corrimal High School and Corrimal East Public School, as well as Corrimal Beach and Corrimal Beach Tourist Park at the eastern end. A public park was opened in 1959 to the west of the high school and north of the primary school, named Phil Adams Park, which features tall trees, paths and several seats. The South Coast railway line forms the western boundary of East Corrimal and separates it from its sister suburb Corrimal. It is served by Corrimal railway station. The suburb takes its name from a point on the nearby Illawarra escarpment which was known as Mount Corrimal (named after the Aboriginal Dreamtime warrior Kurimul), and now called Broker's Nose.
