The Church of St. Michael and St. Anthony is a Roman Catholic church located in Mile End, Montreal. It was originally built as the Church of St. Michael and frequented by Irish Catholics. The growth of the Polish community in the area caused in 1964 for a Polish mission to be inaugurated in the church, whose name was expanded to "St. Michael and St. Anthony".The church exemplifies cultural hybridity by being a Byzantine-styled church, built for Irish Catholics, in a multicultural neighbourhood, and being home today to mostly Poles and Italians. The church has also been noted for its Byzantine Revival architecture, complete with a dome and minaret-styled tower, and so is "one of the more unique examples of church architecture in Montréal."

Ubisoft Divertissements Inc., doing business as Ubisoft Montreal, is a Canadian video game developer and a studio of Ubisoft based in Montreal. The studio was founded in April 1997 as part of Ubisoft's growth into worldwide markets, with subsidies from the governments of Montreal, Quebec, and Canada to help create new multimedia jobs. The studio's initial products were low-profile children's games based on existing intellectual property. Ubisoft Montreal's break-out titles were 2002's Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and 2003's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Subsequently, the studio continued to develop sequels and related games in both series, and developing its own intellectual properties such as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, and For Honor. As of 2021, the studio employs more than 4,000 staff, making it one of the largest game development studios in the world. The studio also helped to establish Montreal as a creative city, and brought other video game developers to establish studios there.

The Peck Building is a repurposed textile factory in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Completed in 1904, the five-story brick building initially housed John W. Peck & Co., Montreal's second-largest clothing manufacturer at the time. The company oversaw the Peck's expansion, completed in 1913, and remained the sole occupant of the building until it was subdivided in the 1930s. Textile manufacturing remained the main practice amongst its tenants until the 1990s, when globalization drove out the industry from the city. The workshops were gradually repurposed. The animation software designer Discreet Logic occupied the top floor between 1993 and 1997, during which time it produced technology for blockbuster films like Titanic. When it moved out, the French gaming company Ubisoft took over the space for its recently opened Montreal branch. Ubisoft Montreal, becoming the largest video game studio in the world by workforce, rapidly grew into occupying the entire building. The presence of the Peck Building in the heart of the Mile End, at the corner of Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Rue Saint-Viateur, played a major role in the development of the neighbourhood. With John W. Peck & Co. and Ubisoft Montreal, it has twice housed the largest employer in the Mile End over the span of more than a century.

Montréal-Outremont was a former provincial electoral district in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada that elected members to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. It was created for the 1939 election from part of Westmount electoral district. Its final election was in 1962. It disappeared in the 1966 election and its successor electoral district was Outremont.

Outremont High School was a high school in the Montreal suburb of Outremont, operated by the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal. The school was located at 500 Boulevard Dollard and opened in 1955. The building is now an adult education centre.

CINQ-FM is a multilingual Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. It broadcasts on 102.3 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 1,285 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 2,335 watts (class A). Its studios are located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. The station operates under a community radio licence and offers varied programming in seven different languages whereas all programmes are produced and animated by volunteers. It identifies itself as "Radio Centre-Ville". CINQ-FM opened on 27 January 1975; at the time the station was on 99.3 MHz and used only 7.5 watts of power. Originally, the station aired programming in five different languages, hence the call sign ("cinq" being the French word for "five"). Those five languages were English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Greek. It has since added Arabic and Haitian Creole programming to its lineup.

The first location opened on September 7, 1919 on Saint-Laurent Boulevard by Isadore Shlafman. The current location, on 74 Fairmount Avenue West was opened in 1949. Fairmount Bagel remains a family-run business.
