Grossmont Union High School District

The Grossmont–Cuyamaca Community College District is a California community college district comprising two colleges, Grossmont College and Cuyamaca College that serve about 28,000 students a year. Grossmont College is located in El Cajon, California and Cuyamaca College is located in Rancho San Diego, California, and primarily serves East San Diego and East County communities.

Established in 1955, El Cajon Valley is the third of twelve high schools to be built in the Grossmont Union High School District. ECVHS is the home of the Braves. El Cajon Valley High school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Arnele Avenue station is a San Diego Trolley station served by the Orange and Green Lines in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon, California. It serves as the eastern terminus of the Orange Line. The station also has as a small park and ride that serves the surrounding residential community and also allows for access to a large commercial strip. Grossmont High School is a public high school located in Eastern San Diego County, California. Opened in 1920, it is the oldest public high school in East County and the first of twelve high schools currently in the Grossmont Union High School District. The school has an approximate enrollment of 2,800 students.Grossmont High School has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1962. The current accreditation is valid through 2020. Grossmont High School was recognized as being a California Distinguished School for the scholastic year of 2008–2009. Its mascot is the Foothiller, so chosen because at the time of the school's construction, east county was much more isolated from the rest of San Diego than it is today and was often referred to as the boondocks or the foothills.

Bostonia is a neighborhood in San Diego County, California, comprising part of the northeastern portion of the city of El Cajon, as well as adjacent unincorporated areas of San Diego County. The portion of Bostonia that lies outside the El Cajon city limits is classified as a census-designated place (CDP) for statistical purposes by the United States Census Bureau. The population of the CDP was 15,379 at the 2010 census, up from 15,169 at the 2000 census.

Casa de Oro-Mount Helix is a census-designated place (CDP) in the East County region of San Diego County, California. The CDP encompasses several unincorporated neighborhoods near the cities of El Cajon and La Mesa and the CDP of Spring Valley. Locations in the northern (Mount Helix) part of the CDP use La Mesa addresses, while locations in the southern (Casa de Oro) part use Spring Valley addresses. Informally, Casa de Oro is often considered to be a part of Spring Valley. The population was 18,762 at the 2010 census, down from 18,874 at the 2000 census.
