Rákóczi Bridge

Müpa Budapest (between 2005 and 2015 Palace of Arts – Művészetek Palotája in Hungarian) is a building in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, officially opened in March 2005. It is located near Rákóczi Bridge and was designed by Zoboky, Demeter and Partners Architectural Office. The National Theatre, which opened in 2002, is located next to it. Both Müpa Budapest and the National Theatre are part of the new Millennium City Center being created in Budapest.The structure of Müpa Budapest covers a ground area of 10,000 m² and the total floor space of the building is 70,000 m². It received the Prix d’Excellence of FIABCI in 2006.The general manager is Csaba Kael.

The National Athletics Centre (Hungarian: Nemzeti Atlétikai Központ) is a track and field stadium in Budapest, Hungary. It has held the 2023 World Athletics Championships. The stadium was built on the eastern bank of the Danube River south of central Budapest, with a capacity of 36,000 for the championships, which will be reduced to 14,000 for future events.

The Hungarian Historical Society (Hungarian: Magyar Történelmi Társulat) is a learned society in Hungary, established in 1867. Its main responsibilities are the cultivation of the History of Hungary, dissemination of scientific findings, supporting research and development and representing the history of Hungary domestically and around the world.

MOL Campus is a neomodern skyscraper and the headquarters of MOL Group, currently built in Budapest, Hungary, designed by Foster and Partners. The tower is the tallest building in Budapest and in Hungary. Construction began in 2019 and was completed in 2022. A38 is an entertainment and cultural venue on the Danube river in Budapest, Hungary, opened on 30 April 2003. Its structure repurposes a decommissioned stone-carrier ship that operated in Ukraine and is now anchored permanently to the bottom of Petőfi Bridge. The venue variously encompasses a ruin bar, restaurant, exhibition hall, dancefloor, and concert hall. The A38 is a member of the Trans Europe Halles organization.

Tüskecsarnok is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Budapest, Hungary. It is primarily used for ice sports and is the home arena of Hungarian top division ice hockey club MAC Budapest. It was opened in 2014.

Petőfi híd or Petőfi Bridge (named after Sándor Petőfi, old name is Horthy Miklós Bridge, named after governor Miklós Horthy) is a bridge in Budapest, connecting Pest and Buda across the Danube. It is the second southernmost public bridge in Budapest. Its two ends are: Boráros tér (southern end of Grand Boulevard and terminus of the Csepel HÉV) Goldmann György tér (next to the campuses of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics)Budapest already made a proposal in the early 1900s to build the bridge, but the competent state bodies believed that a bridge in Óbuda was much more important. After the start of World War I., the idea was postponed, however, the bridge was still important for the townspeople.The bridge was built between 1933 and 1937, according to the plans of Hubert Pál Álgyay. It is 514 m in length (along with the sections leading up) and 25.6 m in width. It was destroyed by the retreating German troops during the Second World War. Its rebuilt version was inaugurated in November 1952, when it also took on its new name, Petőfi Bridge.

Dürer Kert is a music venue in Budapest, Hungary, that plays a significant role in the music life of the city. It started operating in 2008 under Ajtósi Dürer sor but had to move to Újbuda due to property development of the building.

The city of Budapest was officially created on 17 November 1873 from a merger of the three neighboring cities of Pest, Buda and Óbuda. Smaller towns on the outskirts of the original city were amalgamated into Greater Budapest in 1950. The area was later conquered by the Roman Empire, which established the fortress and town of Aquincum on the site of today's Budapest around AD 100. The Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin started at the end of the 9th century, and the Kingdom of Hungary was established at the end of the 11th century. From around 1300 to the incorporation of 1873, Buda was the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary for five periods of less than a century each.
