The Stripple stones (or Stripple stones circle) is a henge and stone circle located on the south slope of Hawk's Tor, Blisland, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north northeast of Bodmin on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, England, UK.

Hawk's Tor is a hill and tor on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, England, UK. Its summit is 307 metres (1,007 ft) above sea level. The tor, which is in the civil parish of Blisland, is located 7 miles (11 km) north east of the town of Bodmin. The slopes of the tor contain Hawkstor Downs, the Stripple stones, a stone circle and Hawkstor Pit, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest noted for its biological interest. There is another Hawk's Tor (329 m) on Bodmin Moor, further east, near the village of North Hill. In 2022 the Hawks Tor reservoir, an old clay pit, was bought online by South West Water. Its volume is about 1.5 million cubic metres.

The Cornwall National Landscape (formerly the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) covers 958 square kilometres (370 sq mi) in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom; that is, about 27% of the total area of the county. It comprises 12 separate areas, designated under the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 for special landscape protection. Of the areas, eleven cover stretches of coastline; the twelfth is Bodmin Moor. The areas are together treated as a single Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB): all AONBs have been rebranded as National Landscapes since November 2023. Section 85 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 places a duty on all relevant authorities when discharging any function affecting land within an AONB to have regard to the purpose of conserving and enhancing natural beauty. Section 89 places a statutory duty on Local Planning Authorities with an AONB within their administrative area to produce a 5-year management plan.

Bradford is a hamlet in the county of Cornwall, England, UK, 10.3 km north-northeast of the town of Bodmin, north of the A30 road. Bradford is in the valley of the De Lank River on Bodmin Moor. According to the Post Office the 2011 census population was included in the civil parish of Blisland.

Warleggan or Warleggon (Cornish: Gorlegan) is a hamlet and civil parish on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, England. The parish is roughly oblong in shape and includes the hamlet of Mount, southwest of Warleggan hamlet. The River Warleggan, a tributary of the River Fowey, runs through the parish, forming its western boundary in places. The population was 203 in the 2001 census, and had increased to 208 at the 2011 census. The population in 1801 was 116. A road was built in 1953 linking Warleggan to the A38; until then it had been regarded as one of the most remote areas of Cornwall.

Millpool (Cornish: Kreunmelin) is a hamlet in the parish of Cardinham in north Cornwall, England, lying about one mile north of Cardinham village. The A30 trunk road towards Bodmin runs about half a mile north-west of the hamlet. There is another Millpool hamlet in west Cornwall, mostly in Breage parish, but having some properties in St Hilary and Germoe parishes.

Colliford Lake is a reservoir on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Covering more than 900 acres (3.6 km2), it is the largest lake in Cornwall. It is situated south of the A30 trunk road near the village of Bolventor, the approximate centre of the lake being at OS grid reference SX179730. Dozmary Pool outfalls into the lake and the lake's own outfall forms one of the tributaries of the River Fowey. The northernmost point of the lake is approximately three-quarters of a mile (1 km) south of Bolventor at OS grid reference SX184756 and the headbank at the southernmost point is approximately three miles (5 km) south of Bolventor at OS grid reference SX177709. Leisure facilities on the site include angling and a 50-acre (200,000 m2) adventure and nature park, Colliford Lake Park, which features trails and footpaths, play areas, wetlands, picnic areas and a cafe. Colliford Lake is managed by the South West Lakes Trust, an environmental and recreational charity which manages fifty inland water sites in Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset.
