Botanic Park, part of Park 11 (also referred to as Mistletoe Park or Tainmuntilla), is a 34 hectare (84 acre) park in the Northeast Parklands of the South Australian capital of Adelaide. The park is bordered by Hackney Road and Frome Road. The University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, and the old Royal Adelaide Hospital are next to this park. The park also abuts the Adelaide Zoo and River Torrens.

The Adelaide Botanic Garden is a 51-hectare (130-acre) public garden at the north-east corner of the Adelaide city centre, in the Adelaide Park Lands. It encompasses a fenced garden on North Terrace (between Lot Fourteen, the site of the old Royal Adelaide Hospital, and the National Wine Centre) and behind it the Botanic Park (adjacent to the Adelaide Zoo). Work was begun on the site in 1855, with its official opening to the public on 4 October 1857. The Adelaide Botanic Garden and adjacent State Herbarium of South Australia, together with the Wittunga Botanic Garden and Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, comprise the Botanic Gardens of South Australia, administered by the Board of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium, a state government statutory authority.

The Santos Museum of Economic Botany, located in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, displays a permanent collection exhibiting the practical, medicinal and economic use of plant materials.It was inspired by the museum in London's Kew Gardens, which opened in 1847, the Adelaide Museum opened in 1881 and is the sole remaining museum of its kind in Australia. Upon opening, the Museum of Economic Botany displayed 3500 objects specifically designed to show the link between the raw material and the final consumer product. It currently displays over 3000 specimens, representing 99% of collected material, and regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions, such as Tamar Dean's photographic exhibition as part of the 2018 Adelaide Festival Biennial. Instigated and developed by its first Director Richard Schomburgk, who drew on his international network of like-minded botanists to gather a wealth of content, the plant materials on display range from essential oils, gums and resins, fibre plants, dyes, food and beverage plants, fibres etc.With its Greek-revival style facade, the Museum was listed on the now-defunct Register of the National Estate on 21 October 1980 and on the South Australian Heritage Register on 23 September 1982.,

Wang Wang and Funi are two giant pandas on loan to Adelaide Zoo in Australia. The pandas are on loan for ten years at a cost of $US1 million per year, as part of a conservation program to protect endangered wildlife.Wang Wang and Funi have not bred to date.

The State Herbarium of South Australia, sometimes called the South Australian Herbarium, and having the herbarium code, AD, is located in Adelaide, South Australia. It is one of several State and Commonwealth herbaria in Australia. The Department for Environment and Water is the state agency which is responsible for the Herbarium, but the Board of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium (established by an Act of Parliament, most recently the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium Act 1978) is charged with its establishment and maintenance. The herbarium is responsible for Electronic Flora of South Australia. It also produces the journal, Swainsona (formerly Journal of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens).

Adelaide Botanic High School is a coeducational public secondary school situated on Frome Road in Adelaide, South Australia. The school's campus is situated on land adjoining the Adelaide Botanic Garden and the former site of the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is partly built from the structure of the old Reid Building from the University of South Australia.

Adelaide Zoo is Australia's second oldest zoo (after Melbourne Zoo), and it is operated on a non-profit basis. It is located in the parklands just north of the city centre of Adelaide, South Australia. It is administered by the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia Incorporated (trading as Zoos South Australia or Zoos SA), which is a full institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), and which also administers the Monarto Safari Park near Murray Bridge.The zoo houses about 300 native and exotic species, with over 3,000 animals on site. The zoo's most recent enclosures are in the second phase of the South-East Asia exhibit, known as Immersion, providing visitors with the experience of walking through the jungle, with Sumatran tigers and orangutans seemingly within reach. Five buildings within the zoo have been listed as state heritage places on the South Australian Heritage Register, including the front entrance on Frome Road and the former Elephant House. The zoo is also a botanical garden and the grounds contain significant exotic and native flora, including a Moreton Bay fig planted in 1877. The giant panda exhibit, which opened in December 2009, is home to two giant pandas, Wang Wang and Funi, which will remain at the zoo until at least 2024.

Park 10, also known as Bullrush Park and Warnpangga is one of the Adelaide Park Lands in the city of Adelaide, South Australia. It is one of the few parks (in the Adelaide Park Lands) to still be known most commonly by its assigned number, and is enclosed by McKinnon Parade, Bundey's Road, War Memorial Drive and Frome Road. The park is used extensively by University of Adelaide sporting clubs. Park 10 is officially used by the Adelaide University Cricket and Football Clubs (Park 10 Oval), Adelaide University Lacrosse Club (Park 10 Lacrosse Field) the Adelaide University Lawn Tennis Club (Park 10 Tennis Courts), and elite running squads Team Tempo and Team Daly.The Adelaide University Frisbee Club use the space behind the Park 10 football posts, and the Adelaide University Soccer Club use the Park 10 Reserve Soccer field. (This is also the Lacrosse Training Field.) The Adelaide University Athletics Club use the space between the Lacrosse game field and Park 10 oval.The Uni Loop is a popular running track, 2.2 kilometres in length, which encircles the park. It has hosted a yearly 6-hour ultramarathon since 2009, a 12-hour ultramarathon since 2010 and a 24-hour ultramarathon since 2011.The Park 10 Grandstand was refurbished by the University of Adelaide in the early 2000s.Due to drought conditions forcing the closure of the Waite Campus sports fields, the Adelaide University Rugby Club was temporarily moved to the Graduate's Oval in Park 10 during May and June 2007. This was the first time rugby had been played on the University's City of Adelaide sports grounds since the 1980s.

The Australian Grape and Wine Authority is responsible for research, development and extension of the wine industry in Australia, including protecting the reputation of Australian wine. It was created in 2014 by merging Wine Australia and the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation.The Australian Grape and Wine Authority includes a regulatory body that ensures wine production complies with the Food Standards Code and ensures that information on labels of Australian wine is accurate, including geographic indicators.

The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), colloquially known by its initials or pronounced as "the Rah", is South Australia's largest hospital, owned by the state government as part of Australia's public health care system. The RAH provides tertiary health care services for South Australia and provides secondary care clinical services to residents of Adelaide's central metropolitan area, which includes the inner suburbs. The original Adelaide Hospital was built in 1840 at the eastern end of North Terrace, Adelaide, with its first building superseded in 1856 and many alterations and additions over the following 175 years. It was prefixed by the "Royal" in 1939. In 2017 it was replaced by the new hospital, built at the western end of North Terrace. The new hospital is the most expensive building ever built in Australia, and the most expensive hospital ever built anywhere in the world, at US$2.44 billion in construction and equipment costs. The redevelopment on the site of the old RAH is known as Lot Fourteen.

War Memorial Drive is a connecting road in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It starts from Bundeys Road near Princess Highway, runs in a western direction following the River Torrens, past the Adelaide Zoo, Adelaide University, Adelaide Oval and past Bonython Park into North Adelaide. Along the road, there are numerous statues of significant Australians and war heroes. The drive was dedicated and named after the heroes and victims of World War I.

Hackney is an inner-eastern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, in the City of Norwood Payneham St Peters. It is adjacent to the Adelaide Park Lands, the Adelaide city centre and North Adelaide. The O-Bahn Busway passes along Hackney Road, part of the City Ring Route, Adelaide, which forms its western boundary. Its other boundaries are the River Torrens (north), the continuation of North Terrace through Kent Town (south), and a series of small streets and lanes to the east. The suburb is dominated by St Peter's College, an independent boys' school, which is wholly located within the suburb and occupies a 75-acre (30 ha) site, about 60% of the suburb's area. Located at this site since 1854, the school grounds contain three heritage-listed buildings.Romilly House in the southwest corner of the suburb, on North Terrace, is also listed on the Heritage Register.Hackney is adjacent to Park 11 of the Park Lands, across Hackney Road from the Botanic Gardens, the Botanic Park and the National Wine Centre.
