Hội An

The Hội An Museum (Vietnamese: Bảo tàng Hội An), also known as the Hội An Museum of History and Culture, is a history museum located at 10B Trần Hưng Đạo, Hội An, Vietnam. It was founded in 1989.The Museum's opening hours are from 07:30 to 17:00 daily.

The Precious Heritage Art Gallery and Cultural Museum is a museum in Hoi An, Vietnam. Inaugurated on 1 January 2017, the museum presents the diverse cultures of Vietnam's ethnic groups through large-scale portraits, traditional costumes, stories and public education. The Precious Heritage Museum is the culmination of the Precious Heritage Project, a photographic endeavor undertaken over a decade by the French photographer Réhahn.

The Museum of Trade Ceramics is located in Hoi An, central Vietnam. It is a museum showcasing the origins and history of the town and the region in the context of historic trade and relationships with foreign nations such as China, India, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand. The building housing the museum is itself an attractively restored traditional wooden house of Hoi An's old quarter, which, on account of design similarity and a historically significant local Japanese trading community, is likened to those of Kyoto.

Kim Bồng woodworking village (Vietnamese: Làng mộc Kim Bồng) is a village located in Cẩm Kim commune, Hội An, Quảng Nam Province, most notable for its carpentry (including cabinet making and shipbuilding) and traditional woodworking products. Established in the 15th century, it reached its peak in the 18th century, during which time village craftsmen contributed their skills in woodworking to many different projects, including the imperial capital in Huế. Using their shipbuilding skills, they supplied ships and ghe bầu (large boats used for sailing) for the activities of the busy commercial port of Hội An.To deal with a marked decline of interest in the woodworking profession during the 20th century, the village successfully offered training and other incentives to young apprentices, resulting in an increase to over 200 woodworkers and 18 different woodcarving companies as of 2008. Additionally, a successful community-based tourism project in Kim Bồng has allowed greater tourism revenue for the village; the venture's success has been suggested as a pattern for future sustainable tourism projects throughout Southeast Asia.The village's name comes from the Vietnamese kim (yellow) and bồng (floating), supposedly after the jackfruit wood that sometimes floats on the Thu Bồn River.

The Thu Bồn River (Vietnamese: Sông Thu Bồn) is a river in central Vietnam, located in Quảng Nam Province. From its source near the border of Quảng Nam and Quảng Ngãi provinces, it flows northwest through Bắc Trà My, Phú Ninh, Hiệp Đức and Quế Sơn districts; turning northeast, it forms the border between Đại Lộc district and Duy Xuyên district, before emptying into the South China Sea at Hội An. The Thu Bồn valley was a centre of Champa culture from 700 until the Vietnamese conquest in 1471. Cua Dai Chiem was the Champa port on the estuary of the river at Hội An. Today boat trips up river to Mỹ Sơn are one of Hội An's tourist attractions.

Đông Thới is a commune (xã) and village in Cái Nước District, Cà Mau Province, in Vietnam.

The Thạnh Mỹ Massacre was a massacre of South Vietnamese civilians committed by the Viet Cong (VC) during the Vietnam War, in Thạnh Mỹ hamlet, Phú Thạnh commune, (now Bà Rén village, Quế Xuân 1 commune) Quế Sơn District, Quảng Nam Province, South Vietnam on 11 June 1970. The hamlet, which was pro-government and defended by US Marines and South Vietnamese militia, was attacked by the VC in the early morning of 11 June. Under cover of a mortar barrage VC sappers set fire to houses and killed civilians either by shooting or throwing explosives into their shelters. The Marines and South Vietnamese forces engaged with the VC and called in artillery support. By 03:15 the VC began to withdraw and the Marines reoccupied the village and began evacuating the wounded. In all 156 houses were destroyed and 35 damaged during the attack. Four militiamen were killed and two wounded, ten U.S. Marines were wounded. Civilian casualties were 74 dead, many of them women and children; 60 severely injured; and over 100 lightly wounded. Four VC dead were found, one prisoner was taken and one of the VC defected. The VC later claimed that they had been attempting to capture the bridge in the village and that the civilians had merely been caught in the crossfire.

The Cồ Cò River (Vietnamese: sông Cổ Cò) is a partially silted river in Quảng Nam province and Da Nang, Vietnam. It used to connect the Thu Bồn with the Hàn River. From the 16th to the 18th century, the river was an important shipping lane connecting the port cities of Hội An and Da Nang, especially to ships for which the sea route was problematic. In the 18th century, the river started silting and the Vĩnh Điện River started gaining prominance as a shipping lane. When the French took power over the area in the late 19th century, the Cổ Cò was still open to shipping, but by the end of the century it was too silted and its use ended. There are plans to dredge it and reopen it for commercial shipping between Hội An and Da Nang and for tourism, but as of 2024 only the part inside the boundaries of Da Nang has been completed.

The Vĩnh Điện River (Vietnamese: sông Vĩnh Điện), Cái River (Vietnamese: sông Cái), or Đò Toản River (Vietnamese: Bến Đò Toản) is a river of the municipality of Da Nang, Vietnam. It connects the Thu Bồn with the delta of the Vu Gia (specifically the Cẩm Lệ branch of it).

Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngũ Hành Sơn, Chữ Hán: 五行山; lit. "five elements mountains") is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngũ Hành Sơn District, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thủy (water), Mộc (wood), Hỏa (fire) and Thổ (earth). All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mount Thủy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains, making this a tourist destination. The area is known for stone sculpture making and stone-cutting crafts. Direct rock extraction from the mountains was banned recently. Materials are now being transported from quarries in Quảng Nam Province. Marble Mountains was officially given the National Special Relic certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on January 20, 2019.

Ngũ Hành Sơn is a district (quận) of Da Nang in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam. The district is divided into four wards (phường): Mỹ An Khuê Mỹ Hòa Hải Hòa QuýAs of 2003, the district had a population of 50,105. The district covers an area of 37 km². The district capital lies at Khuê Mỹ ward.

Hòa Xuân Stadium (Vietnamese: Sân Vận Động Hòa Xuân) is a football-specific stadium in Da Nang, Vietnam. It is located in Cam Le District, just outside of the main city centre. The stadium has been the home of football team SHB Da Nang since 2016. The stadium has a capacity of 20,500.
