Feering Halt railway station

Kelvedon Low Level railway station was the western terminus of the Kelvedon and Tollesbury Light Railway in Essex, England. It opened in 1904 and closed in 1951.There was a single terminal platform on the southeastern side of the Great Eastern Main Line and a steep connecting line to the main line. A footpath linked the low level station to the main Kelvedon railway station.

It is also the closest station to the settlements of Coggeshall and Tiptree. Kelvedon is 42 miles 18 chains (68.0 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street. It is situated between Witham to the west and Marks Tey and to the east. Its three-letter station code is KEL. The station was opened in 1843 by the Eastern Counties Railway. It is currently operated by Greater Anglia, who also operate all trains serving it, as part of the East Anglia franchise. To the north-east was a separate station called Kelvedon Low Level, which until 1951 was the terminus of the now disused Kelvedon and Tollesbury Light Railway.

Brockwell Meadows is a 4.3 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Kelvedon in Essex. It is owned by Kelevdon Parish Council and managed by the Council together with a group of local residents called the Brockwell Group.This site has water meadow, woodland, a pond and hedgerows. The River Blackwater runs along the eastern boundary.There is access from Riverside Way.

Now Prested Hall is a Boutique Wedding and Events venue with Elemis SPA, Health Club, 20-bedroom accommodation, and Real Tennis & Padel Tennis. It is probably the only hotel in the world with 2 courts of Real tennis, the original game of tennis whose origins can be traced to the 14th century. It is a Grade II listed building.

Inworth railway station was on the Kelvedon and Tollesbury Light Railway, serving the village of Inworth, Essex. The station was 2 miles 75 chains (4.73 km) from Kelvedon (Low Level) station.The station was opened in 1904. It was closed, along with the rest of the line, on 7 May 1951.

The hamlet is situated between the village of Feering, 1 mile (1.6 kilometres) to the south, and the Coggeshall hamlet of Surrex, 1⁄2 mile (800 metres) to the north. Nearby settlements include Langley Green, Broad Green and Stocks Green. Skye Green includes Home Farm, Cockerell's Farm and Shoulder Hall. The hamlet contains two Grade II listed buildings: Cockerell's Farmhouse (c.1700) with Bakehouse (c.1800), and The Old Cottage which dates to the 17th century.

The hamlet is at the junction of the A120 road and a minor road (Old Road) to the village of Feering, and is 1 mile (1.6 km) east from the small market town of Coggeshall. Surrex largely comprises modern housing development and a small retail and business area. Surrex was previously in the civil parish of Feering, and from 1854 in the ecclesiastical parish of Great Tey. In 1933, commercial listings for the hamlet in Feering included a farmer, a beer retailer, and a threshing machine proprietor.In 2014, following road safety concerns, particularly those expressed by local MP Priti Patel, Surrex settlement entry signs were placed on the A120. The signs caused some initial confusion and ridicule from local people and councillors, however, a later report stated that the signs were seen as being successful in reducing traffic speed.A former public house, from 2008 The Queens Head (previously named "The Surrex Inn, the American Pilot, the East Anglian Roadhouse and the Porterhouse Inn"), closed in 2011 and became derelict. The building, then owned by a Chinese investor, was destroyed by fire in August 2017.
