Hadsten Municipality

Hadsten (locally [ˈhæ(ð)ˌste̝ˀn]) is a railway town in central Denmark with a population of 8,345 (1 January 2023), and the largest town in Favrskov Municipality, located in Region Midtjylland in Central Jutland. Until 1 January 2007 it was the site of the municipal council of the now former Hadsten municipality. Other names for Hadsten are: Hadsten Stationsby. Hadsten has many educational institutions, including a technical school, gymnasium (Secondary school), and folk high school. Hadsten is famous for having one of the largest model railways in Europe. Besides that, Hadsten has the shortest pedestrian street in Europe. In Denmark, pronunciation of the town's name has often been the subject of confusion, as locals pronounce the name with a silent "d"; as "Ha'sten".

Favrskov Municipality (Danish: Favrskov Kommune, pronounced [ˈfɑwˀɐˌskʌwˀ kʰoˈmuːnə]) is a municipality in Central Denmark Region in Denmark north of Aarhus and is a part of the Aarhus area. According to municipal and regional key figures the municipality covers an area of 540.25 km2 (208.59 square miles) and had a population of 49,408 as of 1. January 2023. The largest towns within the municipality are Hadsten, Hinnerup and Hammel. Favrskov Municipality was created on 1 January 2007 as a result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007). It is a fusion of the former municipalities of Hadsten, Hammel, Hinnerup, and Hvorslev, as well as the southern part of the former Langå Municipality. The northern parts of Favrskov Municipality, consisting roughly of the former municipalities of Hadsten, Langå and Hvorslev, are part of the larger geographical region of Kronjylland (Crown Jutland).The municipality is part of Business Region Aarhus and of the East Jutland metropolitan area, which had a total population of 1.378 million in 2016.According to Danmarks Statistik, from 2005 to 2009, this was the third-fastest growing municipality out of 98.

Modelbane Europa is a model railway attraction in Hadsten, Denmark, and one of the largest of its kind in Europe, built by a local foundation. In November 2014, the railway consisted of at least 1,100 metres (3,609 ft) of track in HO scale, divided into two sections: Denmark and Germany. The model takes 150 m² (1,614 sq ft) of floorspace.

It offers direct InterCity services to Copenhagen, Aalborg, Frederikshavn and Struer as well as regional train services to Aarhus, Aalborg and Struer. Nørre Galten Church (Danish: Nørre Galten Kirke) is a Danish church located in Nørre Galten, Denmark. The church is located a few kilometres north of Hadsten, 12 kilometres south of Randers. The church was built in the 12th century.

Nørre Galten is a village in Eastern Jutland, Denmark, a few kilometres north of Hadsten. Politically it is part of the Central Denmark Region and Favrskov Municipality. It has a population of 203 (1 January 2023).

Until 1 January 2007 Hinnerup municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Aarhus County on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 76 km², and had a total population of 12.048 (2005). Its last mayor was Niels Berg, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and site of its municipal council was the town of Hinnerup. Hinnerup municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Hadsten, Hammel, and Hvorslev municipalities, as well as the southern part of Langå municipality to form the new Favrskov municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 487 km² and a total population of ca. 41,596 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Midtjylland ("Mid-Jutland Region").

Hinnerup, is a small town in East Jutland, Denmark with a population of 8,351 (1 January 2023), located in Favrskov Municipality, Region Midtjylland, Jutland just northwest of Aarhus. It is more or less a suburb nowadays, connected to Aarhus by the urban tract of Søften, Lisbjerg and Skejby. Until 1 January 2007 Hinnerup was the site of the municipal council of the now former Hinnerup Municipality. It is now the municipal seat of Favrskov Municipality The railway town of 'Hinnerup Stationsby' emerged in 1862. The town later gave name to the now non existing Hinnerup Municipality formed in 1967, by fusing the parishes of Grundfør, Vitten, Haldum and Vitten with the Søften-Foldby Municipality. During recent years, Hinnerup has expanded with newly built residential areas and the town centre has been renovated to make it more attractive to shoppers. A central building is "Hinnerup Bibliotek og Kulturhus" (Library and Cultural House), which opened in May 1993. The modern building has been designed by Hans Peter Svendler Nielsen from architectural firm 3XN, in Aarhus. In April 2002, an arson ruined most of the library facilities; however, it was re-opened in November the same year. The building also houses small art exhibitions and serves as a tiny ticket sales office for the railway line going right by. In 2012, the city celebrated its 150th anniversary, with a visit by Frederik, the Crown Prince of Denmark and his wife, Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark.

Hallendrup is a small village in Favrskov Municipality in Denmark. There's a small village of the same name 36 km to the east in Norddjurs Municipality. In 2020, the city council of Hallendrup voted in favor of building six large wind turbines.

Memphis Mansion, until 2015 Graceland Randers, is a museum and restaurant in Randers, Denmark. It is dedicated to the rock and roll singer and actor Elvis Presley (1935–1977).
