Livarden is a mountain in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. It is located southeast of the Ulriken mountain massif, on the border of the boroughs of Fana and Arna, just south of the village of Espeland. The summit is situated at 683 metres (2,241 ft) above sea level, with a prime factor of 210 metres (690 ft).

Møsnuken is a mountain in Bjørnafjorden Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The 639-metre (2,096 ft) mountain lies about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) east of the village of Søfteland.

Espeland detention camp (Norwegian: Espeland fangeleir, German: Polizeihäftlingslager Espeland) was an internment camp opened in 1943 by Nazi Germany in occupied Norway next to the village of Espeland in the borough of Arna, Bergen.Built to house prisoners after the closure of the nearby Ulven detention camp, Espeland was soon being used to mitigate overcrowding in Bergen. It functioned as a transit camp, sending many inmates further to Grini detention camp and to camps in mainland Europe. Abuse was common and the total number of people killed during captivity is unknown.Following the surrender of the Nazi regime the previous day, the camp was liberated on 9 May 1945. It was subsequently used by the Norwegians to house post-war prisoners. Since 2000, there has been an effort to convert the camp into an education and archive centre. It is currently run by the Stiftelsen Espeland fangeleir (Espeland Prison Camp Foundation), which, as of 2021, was in the process of being merged with the Norwegian Gestapo Museum.It is among the most well-preserved Nazi concentration camps in the world and in November 2014 the facility was declared a protected monument.

Takvam Chapel (Norwegian: Takvam kapell) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Takvam, in the eastern part of the municipality. It is one of two churches in the Arna parish which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a rectangular design in 1988 using plans drawn up by the architect Andreas Vold. The church seats about 75 people.

Espeland is a village in the borough of Arna in the municipality of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. Espeland is located north of Lake Haukeland (Norwegian: Haukelandsvatnet) and Mount Livarden. The village of Indre Arna lies about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the north. The 2.19-square-kilometre (540-acre) village has a population (2012) of 2,182 and a population density of 996 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,580/sq mi). Starting in 2013, Espeland has been included in the urban area of Arna and separate population statistics are no longer tracked.Espeland was the site of the Espeland concentration camp (Norwegian: Espeland fangeleir) built under the direction of German occupation forces between 1942 and 1943.

Takvam Station (Norwegian: Takvam holdeplass) was a railway station located at Takvam in Bergen, Norway that closed on 9 December 2012. Prior to closure, the station was served by two daily departures per direction by the Bergen Commuter Rail operated by Norges Statsbaner. The station opened in 1966, replacing the former Herland Station.

Samnangerfjorden (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈsɑ̂mnɑŋərˌfjuːɳ]) is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The 22-kilometre (14 mi) long fjord is located in the municipalities of Bjørnafjorden and Samnanger. The head of the fjord is located in Samnanger, surrounded by the villages of Årland, Haga, and Tysse. The fjord flows to the southwest from there and eventually flows into the Fusafjorden (which later joins the large Bjørnafjorden). The fjord forms the southern boundary of the Bergen Peninsula.

The Osterøy Bridge (Norwegian: Osterøybrua) is a suspension bridge in Vestland county, Norway. The bridge connects the Kvisti farm area on the island of Osterøy in Osterøy Municipality with the Herland farm area on the mainland in Bergen Municipality east of the city of Bergen. The bridge is the third largest suspension bridge in Norway. It is part of Norwegian County Road 566 (Fylkesvei 566).The Osterøy Bridge is a 1,065-metre (3,494 ft) long suspension bridge that has a main span of 595 metres (1,952 ft). There are 8 spans, and none of the piers are in the water, just on land. There is 53 metres (174 ft) of clearance below the bridge. The two suspension towers are each 121.5 metres (399 ft) high. The bridge was completed on 3 October 1997 and cost about 308 million kr. The bridge was designed by the structural engineering firm Aas-Jakobsen. It was put into service 28 years after the first plans for a connection between Osterøy and Bergen were prepared. It was opened for traffic by Sissel Rønbeck, the Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications. The bridge was built to withstand quite strong winds. Experts have indicated that the bridge should be capable of surviving an extreme storm. The bridge is tuned so that its greatest oscillation occurs when the wind is about 10 metres per second (22 mph) such as a light breeze.

Os is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. It was located in the Midhordland region, just south of Norway's second-largest city, Bergen. Due to its proximity to Bergen, Os experienced strong population growth. The administrative centre (and commercial centre) of Os was the village of Osøyro. It is the largest settlement in the municipality, with over 60% of the municipal residents living here. Other large villages in Os included Hagavik, Halhjem, Søfteland, Søre Øyane, and Søvik. On 1 January 2020, the municipality became part of Bjørnafjorden Municipality in Vestland county. Prior to its dissolution in 2020, the 140-square-kilometre (54 sq mi) municipality is the 360th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Os is the 57th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 20,152. The municipality's population density is 151 inhabitants per square kilometre (390/sq mi) and its population has increased by 29.2% over the last decade.

Holmefjord is a village in the municipality of Bjørnafjorden in Vestland county, Norway. It is located near the shore along the Samnangerfjorden about 7.5 kilometres (4.7 mi) northwest of the village of Eikelandsosen. Holmefjord is a small typical western Norwegian village. In 1960, there were 2 general stores, a dairy, and a local bakery. Due to a contemporary transportation system and lifestyle (as of 2006), most of that is gone and there is only one general store left. There are a few small industrial factories that use wood as raw materials, producing wooden beams as well as other things. The traditional handicraft of making barrels out of pine is now almost extinct. These barrels were used for storage of herring as well as exported to Canada and Iceland. The village has a tradition (for about the last 100 years or so) of having a play every May 17. Most villagers have participated in the play over the years. On May 17, the villagers work together and make a lot of a popular local porridge, called raudravle, which is sold for the benefit of the community house, Bygdaheimen.

Fusafjorden (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈfʉ̂ːsɑˌfjuːɳ]) is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. It lies in between Bjørnafjorden Municipality and Tysnes Municipality. The 13-kilometre (8.1 mi) long fjord branches off northwards from the Bjørnafjorden at the village of Osøyro. The Fusafjorden is a wide fjord that branches into three arms at Bogøya. The three arms are Samnangerfjorden, Ådlandsfjorden, and Eikelandsfjorden.
