The Norwegian Museum of Decorative Arts and Design (Norwegian: Kunstindustrimuseet) is a museum in Oslo, Norway. Its collection includes clothing, textile, furniture, silver, glass, ceramics, and handicrafts. Since 2003, the museum has been administratively a part of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design (Nasjonalmuseet for kunst, arkitektur og design).

St. Olav's Cathedral (Norwegian: Sankt Olav domkirke) is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oslo and the parish church of St. Olav's parish in Oslo, Norway. The cathedral has church services and masses in Norwegian and several other languages, including English and Polish.

Søilen Teater was a theatre that opened in Oslo in 1930. It was managed by Sophus Dahl until 1932. It was then a supporting stage for Chat Noir until 1934. From 1934 to 1939 the theatre was run by Henry Gleditsch, and from 1939 it was run by Aud Ricther. From 1942 it housed Leif Juster's stage Edderkoppen Theatre, and in 1945 it housed Studioteatret.Among actors who made their stage debut at Søilen Teater were Wenche Foss,Vibeke Falk,Svend von Düring,Jon Lennart Mjøen,Carsten Byhring,Jack Fjeldstad, Carsten Winger, Kolbjørn Brenda, Ragnhild Michelsen,Siri Rom, and Georg Richter.

St. Sunniva School (St. Sunniva skole) is an independent Roman Catholic school located in the centre of Oslo, Norway. The school was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph from Chambéry in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Founded in 1865, it was part of an effort to restore Roman Catholicism in Norway. Queen Josephine, consort of Sweden and Norway, was an ardent supporter of the school. Her sister Queen Amélie, Empress of Brazil, also provided support.The school was owned and operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph for 140 years. Since 1 August 2005, it has been owned and operated by the Catholic Diocese of Oslo (Oslo Katolske Bispedømme). The school averages 540 students between the first and tenth grade.

The Borgarting Court of Appeal (Norwegian: Borgarting lagmannsrett) is one of six intermediate courts of appeal in the Kingdom of Norway. The Court is located in the city of Oslo. The court has jurisdiction over the counties of Oslo and western Viken. These areas constitute the Borgarting judicial district (Norwegian: Borgarting lagdømme). This court can rule on both civil and criminal cases that are appealed from one of its subordinate district courts. Court decisions can be, to a limited extent, appealed to the Supreme Court of Norway. The court has 62 judges and 45 administrative staff. The chief judicial officer of the court (Norwegian: førstelagmann) is currently Marianne Vollan. The court is administered by the Norwegian National Courts Administration.

Trinity Church (in Norwegian, Trefoldighetskirken), is a church in the Hammersborg neighborhood in central Oslo, Norway. Trinity Church is neighbor of the government buildings in Regjeringskvartalet. It is the parish church of the parish of Trinity, belonging to the Diocese of Oslo of the Church of Norway. It is one of the largest churches in Oslo (1000 seats). The church itself is in the raw red brick, while the vaults, arches and small columns have gray scale color. The nave is octagonal with a Greek cross superimposed, with the choir in the apse, shallow transept and rectangular entrance flanked by two slender, octagonal bell towers. A central dome rises above the church. Trinity Church is the largest church in Oslo and one of the largest of the many octagonal churches in Norway, but one of few octagonal churches constructed in red brick.

The Cemetery of Our Saviour (Norwegian: Vår Frelsers gravlund) is a cemetery in Oslo, Norway, located north of Hammersborg in Gamle Aker district. It is located adjacent to the older Old Aker Cemetery and was created in 1808 as a result of the great famine and cholera epidemic of the Napoleonic Wars. Its grounds were extended in 1911. The cemetery has been full and thus closed for new graves since 1952, with interment only being allowed in existing family graves. The cemetery includes five sections, including Æreslunden, Norway's main honorary burial ground, and the western, southern, eastern and northern sections. The Cemetery of Our Saviour became the preferred cemetery of bourgeois and other upper-class families. It has many grand tombstones and is the most famous cemetery in Norway.

Schola Osloensis, known in Norwegian as Oslo Katedralskole (Oslo Cathedral School) and more commonly as "Katta", is a selective upper secondary school located in Oslo, Norway. The school offers the college preparatory Studiespesialisering (literal translation: specialization for studies) of the Norwegian school system. Oslo Cathedral School is one of four schools in Norway that can trace its origins directly to the Middle Ages. It is generally regarded as one of Norway's most prestigious schools, which celebrated its 850th anniversary in 2003.The school's motto is the Latin phrase Non scholae, sed vitae discimus which translates to "We do not learn for the sake of the school, but for the sake of life".

Oslo District Court (Norwegian: Oslo tingrett) is a district court located in Oslo, Norway. This court is based at the Oslo Courthouse in the city of Oslo. The court serves the entire city of Oslo and the court is subordinate to the Borgarting Court of Appeal. As the largest district court in Norway, it handles about 20% of all cases in the country. The court handled 3,000 criminal and 2,200 civil cases, as well as 7,200 summary proceedings in 2007.It is led by a chief justice (sorenskriver), and has 100 appointed professional and deputy judges. These are divided into eight sections. In addition, the court has 105 administrative employees, of which 30 are in central administration, 59 in judicial-related jobs and 16 in security. These are led by a managing director. The court is a court of first instance. Its judicial duties are mainly to settle criminal cases and to resolve civil litigation as well as bankruptcy. The administration and registration tasks of the court include death registration, issuing certain certificates, performing duties of a notary public, and officiating civil wedding ceremonies. Cases from this court are heard by a combination of professional judges and lay judges.Oslo is the most frequent user of interpreters of all the courts in the country, accounting for about half the use of interpreters. The most frequent languages are Arabic, English, Somali and Polish. In 2007, 23% of all cases used interpreters. The court also has a witness support program in cooperation with Oslo Red Cross.Starting in 1999, the court initiated a court conciliation program to encourage negotiations in civil cases. This allows the parties to find a middle ground they are both satisfied with, without creating winners and losers. At the same time, time and costs are reduced. In 2007, 18% of civil cases participated in the program, and of these 74% settled through the program.

Oslo Courthouse (Oslo tinghus) is located at C.J. Hambros plass 4 in downtown Oslo, Norway. The courthouse houses the two Oslo District Courts; the tingrett which handles civil and criminal cases, and the byfogdembete which considers other enforcement cases such as marriages, bankruptcy, probate, and official notarization.The postmodern building was designed by Østgaard Arkitekter AS and the architect Terje Grønmo on an assignment from Statsbygg. It was completed in 1994. The building's facade as well as much of the interior is primarily granite.The building contains 54 courtrooms and 11 adjudication rooms. The inside of the court building's walls are covered with script of the Laws of the Norwegian people (Norske Lov), transposed to demonstrate the difficulty that people have in understanding them.
