Huskisson Dock railway station

Sandon Dock was a railway station on the Liverpool Overhead Railway, adjacent to the dock of the same name. It was opened on 6 March 1893 by the Marquis of Salisbury. The station had a hydraulic lift bridge which enabled a section of track to be lifted up to allow large vehicles to pass underneath.The station was an early closure, closing in 1896, to be replaced by nearby Huskisson Dock and Nelson Dock, located to the north and south respectively. No trace of this station remains.

The Tate & Lyle Sugar Silo is a Grade II* listed building on Regent Road at Huskisson Dock in Kirkdale, north Liverpool, England. Henry Tate established his Liverpool refinery in 1872, and Tate & Lyle built their huge concrete sugar silo in the 1950s, close to the Liverpool docks. A huge conveyor tower was constructed next to it, and this was used to bring sugar up from ships in Huskisson Dock. The sugar was then transported via several other conveyors into the top of the silo. Once in the silo, an overhead railway system was used to distribute the sugar along the length of the silo. The hopper ran along on a track, depositing the sugar through big grilles positioned between the rails. Today the silo tower is in a state of disrepair and is on the Buildings at Risk Register. The silo itself is still used.

Canada Dock station was on the Liverpool Overhead Railway, situated sixteen feet above street level between Canada Branch Dock No.1 dock to its west and the LNWR's Canada Dock goods station to the east; the LNWR's Canada Dock passenger station lay immediately east of the goods station. The station was originally intended for transatlantic passengers, though the dock became a centre for timber trading. It was opened on 6 March 1893 by the Marquis of Salisbury. During the December 1940 Liverpool Blitz the station received heavy damage, including a direct hit to track close to the station.The line and station closed on 30 December 1956, being demolished a year later. Nothing remains of the station.

Wellington Dock was a dock on the River Mersey, England, and part of the Port of Liverpool. It was situated in the northern dock system in Kirkdale, connected to the Sandon Half Tide Dock to the west.

Sandhills railway station is a railway station in Kirkdale, Liverpool, England, located to the north of the city centre on the Northern Line of the Merseyrail network. It was built by the Liverpool, Crosby and Southport Railway Company and now stands at the junction between the branch to Southport and the branch to Ormskirk and Kirkby. The two platforms form a single island, overlooking the River Mersey on one side, and the former industrial area of Commercial Road on the other. It is also used by football fans heading for Liverpool F.C. and Everton F.C. matches: a bus service called Soccerbus runs between the station and the football stadiums on match-days only.Previously passengers had to walk up a ramp to reach the ticket office, then through a subway and up ramps to reach the platform. Now the ramp remains, with alternate staircase. Leading to a lift directly into the Booking Office, accessing both sides of the island platforms.

Sandhills ward was a former electoral division of Liverpool, England. It was first established in 1895, and it covered part of the city’s dockside and nearby residential areas. The ward was abolished in 1973, re-established in 2004, and finally dissolved again in 2023 following boundary changes.

Nelson Dock was a railway station on the Liverpool Overhead Railway, adjacent to the dock of the same name. It was opened in May 1896 and replaced nearby Sandon Dock, which was closed at the same time.The station closed, along with the rest of the line on 30 December 1956. No evidence of this station remains.

North Docks good railway station was a goods station in Liverpool between Blackstone Street & Walter Street. It was connected to the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway's Liverpool, Ormskirk and Preston Railway by a junction to the North of Sandhills railway station

Everton Football Club () is a professional association football club based in Liverpool, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football. Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium is an under construction football stadium that will become the home ground for Everton F.C.. Located on Bramley-Moore Dock in Vauxhall, Liverpool, England, it is due to open for the start of the 2024-25 season, replacing Goodison Park. Bramley-Moore is a former commercial dock that sits behind locked gates next to a wastewater treatment plant, and it is intended that the new stadium will become the heart of a new mixed-use development in the area containing shops, housing and other venues.
