Liechtenstein ( LIK-tən-styne; German: [ˈlɪçtn̩ʃtaɪn] ), officially the Principality of Liechtenstein (German: Fürstentum Liechtenstein, pronounced [ˈfʏʁstn̩tuːm ˈlɪçtn̩ˌʃtaɪ̯n] ), is a doubly landlocked German-speaking microstate located in the Alps between Austria and Switzerland. It is the sixth smallest nation worldwide. Liechtenstein is a semi-constitutional monarchy headed by the prince of Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein is bordered by Switzerland to the west and south and Austria to the east and north. It is Europe's fourth-smallest country, with an area of just over 160 square kilometres (62 square miles) and a population of 38,749 (as of 2019). Divided into 11 municipalities, its capital is Vaduz, and its largest municipality is Schaan. It is also the smallest country to border two countries.Economically, Liechtenstein has one of the highest gross domestic products per person in the world when adjusted for purchasing power parity. The country has a strong financial sector centred in Vaduz. It was once known as a billionaire tax haven, but is no longer on any official blacklists of uncooperative tax haven countries. An Alpine country, Liechtenstein is mountainous, making it a winter sport destination. Liechtenstein is a member of the United Nations, the European Free Trade Association, and the Council of Europe. It is not a member of the European Union, but it participates in both the Schengen Area and the European Economic Area. It has a customs union and a monetary union with Switzerland.

Helwangspitz is a mountain in Liechtenstein in the Rätikon range of the Eastern Alps, to the east of Vaduz, with a height of 1,999 metres (6,558 ft) / or 2,000 metres (6,600 ft).

Schalun Castle (German Burg Schalun or Ruine Schalun), also known colloquially as Wildschloss ("Castle in the wild"), is a castle ruin located in the municipality of Vaduz, Liechtenstein. It lies in the mountains, roughly 1 kilometer to the northeast from the town centre of Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. It is freely open to tourists and accessible by foot or mountain bike via a local footpath. Schalun Castle is one of the five existing castles in Liechtenstein and one of the three ruined ones in the country.

Garsellakopf is a mountain on the border of Liechtenstein and Austria in the Rätikon range of the Eastern Alps to the east of the town of Schaan, with a height of 2,105 metres (6,906 ft).

Rotenboden (also spelled Rotaboda) is a village of Liechtenstein, located in the municipality of Triesenberg. It is the highest settlement in Liechtenstein at 850m elevation.

Gaflei is a village of Liechtenstein, located in Triesenberg, the highest and largest municipality (by area) in the Oberland constituency of the country. It stands at approximately 1500 m above sea level. Gaflei developed from settlements of the Walser people in the Middle Ages. The geographical centre of Liechtenstein is located at the Alp Bargälla, east of Gaflei.

The Postal Museum (German: Postmuseum) is a postal museum in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. It is a branch museum of Liechtenstein National Museum.

Vaduz Castle (German: Schloss Vaduz) is the palace and official residence of the Prince of Liechtenstein. The castle gave its name to the town of Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, which it overlooks from an adjacent hilltop.
