Port Chester Harbor is the name of a bay located in the village of Port Chester on Long Island Sound, in Westchester County, New York. The harbor is the entrance to Byram River, which leads to the town of Port Chester, and lies 1 mile west-northwestward of Great Captain Island. It is protected by a breakwater, which is marked at its south end by Port Chester light.

The Byram River is a 13.9-mile (22.4 km) long river spanning southeast New York state and southwestern Connecticut in the United States. It has a 29-square-mile (75 km2) drainage basin.The river's headwaters are at Byram Lake in Westchester County, New York, at an elevation of 750 feet (230 m), and flow southward, crossing the New York-Connecticut border and eventually flowing into Long Island Sound at Port Chester Harbor. The lower portion of the river is paralleled by the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut and eventually forms the southernmost portion of the New York-Connecticut border. Several bridges cross the river, as well as several dams controlled by the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut.

Putnam and Mellor Engine and Hose Company Firehouse was a historic fire station located at Port Chester, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1888 and is a three-story, three bay wide, masonry building in the Queen Anne style. It is constructed of red brick with stone stringcourses and terra cotta decoration. It features a low hipped roof with decorative gable ends and a corner bell tower.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The official name of this firehouse was the South Main Street Firehouse. The address was 46 South Main Street, Port Chester, NY. As described above, it housed the Putnam Engine & Hose Company, No.2 (founded Oct. 1854) and the Mellor Engine & Hose Company, No.3. The fire engines for these companies are Engine 63 and Engine 61, respectively. In 1995 the rear wall of the South Main Street Firehouse collapsed, rendering the firehouse uninhabitable. Putnam and Mellor were temporarily displaced and eventually relocated to their current home – the South End Fire Station (51-53 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, NY). This new firehouse was completed in 2001. Despite public outcry and despite being on the National Register, on November 17, 2007 the South Main Street Firehouse was demolished.

Port Chester station is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, located in Port Chester, New York. The station is the northernmost station on the line in New York before crossing into Connecticut.

The Capitol Theatre is a historic theatre located in the village of Port Chester, Westchester County, New York. It was designed by noted theater architect Thomas W. Lamb (1871–1942) and built in 1926. The 1,800-seat facility operates as a concert venue, hosting musicians and occasionally comedians, as owned and operated by NYC-based concert promoter Peter Shapiro. The Capitol Theatre has had a long history, with tenures as a movie theater and catering hall, in addition to hosting concerts.

The Dragon Coaster is a wooden roller coaster at Playland amusement park in Rye, New York. Opened in 1929, it was designed and built by amusement ride creator Frederick Church, the co-inventor of the Racing Derby, another early 20th century amusement park ride. The Dragon Coaster has approximately 3,400 feet of track and is, at its highest, approximately 80 feet tall. There is a tunnel along its span, a common feature of wooden roller coasters from the 1920s, that resembles the body and open mouth of a dragon. It was featured in the film Fatal Attraction, Mariah Carey's music video "Fantasy", and Big, starring Tom Hanks. The Dragon Coaster is still in operation.

Calf Island, between 27.5-acre (111,000 m2) and 31.5-acre (127,000 m2) island about 3,000 feet (910 m) from the Byram shore of Greenwich, Connecticut in Long Island Sound. It is connected at low tide to the Greenwich Land Trust's Shell Island. The size of the island is a best estimate as different sources cite different sizes for the island; while the oldest estimates put it at around 20-acre (81,000 m2) the GIS system puts it at 31.5-acre (127,000 m2) The island is open for visitors; although, as of the summer of 2006, it was getting relatively few of them.The island is the largest one in Greenwich waters. More than half of the island (on the west side) is a bird sanctuary off-limits to members of the public without permission to visit. The island is available for overnight stays for those with permits, otherwise the east side is open from dawn till dusk.The island is home to cowbirds, yellow warblers, starlings, catbirds, diamondback terrapins, ospreys, great blue herons and canada geese. great and snowy egrets can also be seen there. sassafras, hickory, maple and beech trees, along with oriental bittersweet and multiflora roses, grow there.

Playland, often called Rye Playland and also known as Playland Amusement Park, is an amusement park located in Rye, New York, along the Long Island Sound. Built in 1928, the 280-acre (110 ha) park is owned by the Westchester County government. Beginning in 2018 the park has been operated under contract by Standard Amusements.

Airplane Coaster, known previously as the Aero-Coaster and the Aeroplane Dips, was a wooden roller coaster which operated at Playland Amusement Park in Rye, New York, from 1928 until 1957.

Byram is a neighborhood/section and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Greenwich in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It had a population of 4,146 at the 2010 census, and a census-estimated population of 4,216 in 2018. An endcap of Connecticut's Gold Coast, Byram is the southernmost point in the town of Greenwich and the U.S. state of Connecticut. It is separated from Port Chester, Westchester County, New York, by the Byram River. Byram was once known as East Port Chester.

The Church of Our Lady of Mercy is a Catholic church located in Port Chester, New York. Having been founded as a parish in 1834, the present church building was constructed in 1934 in the Romanesque style. It is the parish church of the Parish of St. John Bosco, which is the product of the merger of Port Chester's four Catholic parishes.
