The National Pedagogical Drahomanov University is a Ukrainian higher education institution in Kyiv, which has III-IV accreditation level.

The Embassy of Germany in Kyiv is Germany's diplomatic mission to Ukraine. The Federal Republic of Germany has since 1989 been officially represented in Ukraine, first by the Consulate General in Kyiv, since January 1992, after the Ukrainian independence in 1991, with a diplomatic mission. Since March 2000, an honorary consul in Lviv also represents the interests of the Federal Republic of Germany. In July 2008, another honorary consul was appointed in Odessa, followed by an additional consulate general in Donetsk since the summer of 2009.

Universytet (Ukrainian: Унiверситет, (listen)) is a station on the Kyiv Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1960 as part of the first stage of the metro's construction. It is named after the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which is located in direct proximity to the station itself.

The A.V. Fomin Botanical Garden (sometimes translitterated as O.V. Fomin Botanical Garden) is one of the oldest botanical gardens in Ukraine, located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. In 1839 the Saint Vladimir Imperial University of Kiev opened its own botanical garden. The botanical garden is 22.5 hectares (0.225 km2), with 8,000 plant species, including 143 recorded in the Ukraine's Red Book of Rare Species. The Garden is famous for its exotic plants: it has the biggest collection of succulents among the countries of the former Soviet Union. The greenhouse, which was built for the largest and the oldest palm trees in Northern Eurasia, is among the highest in the world. In 1935, the garden was named after the academician and botanist Aleksandr Vasiljevich Fomin, who directed the garden for years. The vestibule of the Kyiv Metro station Universytet, is located on the northern edge of the garden, which was opened in 1960.(Google Maps link).

The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU; Ukrainian: Національна академія наук України, Natsional’na akademiya nauk Ukrayiny, abbr: NAN Ukraine) is a self-governing state-funded organization in Ukraine that is the main center of development of science and technology by coordinating a system of research institutes in the country. It is the main research oriented organization along with the five other academies in Ukraine specialized in various scientific disciplines. NAS Ukraine consists of numerous departments, sections, research institutes, scientific centers and various other supporting scientific organizations. The Academy reports on the annual basis to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The presidium of the academy is located at vulytsia Volodymyrska, 57, across the street from the Building of Pedagogical Museum, which was used to host the Central Council during the independence period of 1917-18. In 1919–1991 it was a republican branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union.

The Red University Building (Ukrainian: Червоний корпус Київського університету; translit.: Chervonyi Korpus Kyivskoho Universytetu) is the principal and oldest 4-story building of the Kyiv University located at 60 Volodymyrska Street, in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. This building is a famous symbol of the Kyiv University and the Ukrainian fundamental higher educational system.

The Maksymovych Scientific Library is the main scientific library of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The library is located in Kyiv, Volodymyrska str., 58 near the Red building of the University of Kyiv and it was founded in 1834 along with the University.

Kyiv University or Shevchenko University or officially the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukrainian: Київський національний університет імені Тараса Шевченка), colloquially known as KNU, is located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The university is recognized as the most prestigious university of Ukraine, being the largest national higher education institution. KNU is ranked within top 650 universities in the world. It is the third oldest university in Ukraine after the University of Lviv and University of Kharkiv. Currently, its structure consists of fifteen faculties (academic departments) and five institutes. It was founded in 1834 by the Russian Tsar Nikolai I as the Saint Vladimir Imperial University of Kiev, and since then it has changed its name several times. During the Soviet Union era, Kiev State University was one of the top-three universities in the USSR, along with Moscow State University and Leningrad State University. It is ranked as the best university in Ukraine in many rankings (see below). Throughout history, the university has produced many famous alumni including Mykola Lysenko, Nikolay Bunge, Mykhailo Drahomanov, Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, Nikolai Berdyaev, Mikhail Bulgakov, Ivan Schmalhausen, Theodosius Dobzhansky, Viacheslav Chornovil, Leonid Kravchuk, and many others. Taras Shevchenko himself, banned from educational activities for political reasons, worked for the university as a field researcher.

The Hilton Kyiv is a 5-star hotel located in Kyiv, Ukraine. The hotel is a branch of the Hilton Hotels chain. It is a part of the residential complex H-Tower, which is located in the city center at Taras Shevchenko Boulevard. The complex was designed by the renowned British architect John Seifert, who also designed other 10 Hilton hotels in London, Paris, Antwerpen and Dubrovnik.

The Kyiv Opera group was formally established in the summer of 1867, and is the third oldest in Ukraine, after Odessa Opera and Lviv Opera. The Kyiv Opera Company perform at the National Opera House of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv. The opera in 2 acts, Natalka Poltavka, was the last scheduled performance before the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Kyiv Opera House, officially the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko (Ukrainian: Національний академічний театр опери та балету України імені Тараса Шевченка), is an opera house in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is the home of the National Opera of Ukraine. The building is located at the junction between Volodymyrska Street and Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street. Designed by the Russian architect Victor Schröter with an exterior in the Renaissance Revival style, it was opened in 1901, replacing an earlier structure, the City Theatre, that had been established in 1856, but destroyed by fire in 1896. On 1 September 1911, the Russian Prime Minister Pyotr Stolypin was mortally wounded in the opera house after an assailant shot him during a visit to the opera, and it was where the First Universal of the Ukrainian Central Council on Ukraine's autonomy was proclaimed in June 1917.

The Kyiv City Teacher's House (Ukrainian: Київський міський будинок учителя) also known as the Central Council House (Ukrainian: Будинок Центральної Ради) is a historical building located at 57 Volodymyrska Street, in Kyiv, Ukraine. The building is located next to the "Yellow Building" of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Presidium Building of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Currently, it is mainly occupied by the Ukrainian Trade Union of workers of Education and Science in Kyiv. It also houses the Pedagogical museum, the museum of Ukrainian Revolution (1917-1920), the State Pedagogical and Science Library of Sukhomlynsky, and the Cultural Center "Kyianochka". Both museums are located on the second floor. The building was constructed during the Imperial era in 1909-1911 by Pavlo Alyoshyn.
