Klein Grieshorn

The Grieshorn (also known as Corno Gries) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the Swiss-Italian border. With an altitude of 2,969 metres above sea level, it is the culminating point of the group lying between the Gries Pass, the San Giacomo Pass and the Nufenen Pass. On the west lies the slightly lower Klein Grieshorn.

Gries Pass (2469 m.) (Italian: Passo del Gries, German: Griespass) is a mountain pass between Valais, Switzerland and Formazza, Italy. There is no road over the pass, from Nufenen Pass the paved road ends and a bridle path leads over to the Italian side. A high pressure gas pipeline runs over the pass, coming from the North Sea to Italy.

Cascata del Toce (Italian pronunciation: [kaˈskaːta del ˈtoːtʃe]) or La Frua, also known as Frütt Fall in Walser dialect, is a waterfall on the river Toce, located in the municipality of Formazza, Piedmont, Italy, at 1675 m above the sea level. It takes the name from the river Toce. The waterfall has 143 m of vertical drop e it is 60 m wide (at the base). The waterfall is only completely visible in summer months, during certain hours, as its waters are used for hydroelectric purposes.

The San Giacomo Pass (Italian: Passo San Giacomo) is an Alpine pass connecting Switzerland and Italy. It connects Bedretto on its northern side (valley of Leventina) to Formazza on its southern side. The pass is located between the Grieshorn (west) and the Marchhorn (east).

The Marchhorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the Swiss-Italian border. On its northwest side it overlooks the San Giacomo Pass.

The Kastelhorn (also known as Punta del Castel) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It lies north of the Basòdino.

Formazza (Walser: Pumât, Piedmontese: Formassa) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 160 kilometres (99 mi) northeast of Turin and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Verbania, on the border with Switzerland. Formazza borders the following municipalities: Baceno, Bedretto (Switzerland), Bignasco (Switzerland), Binn (Switzerland), Bosco/Gurin (Switzerland), Cavergno (Switzerland), Premia, Reckingen-Gluringen (Switzerland), Ulrichen (Switzerland). The village was founded by Walser and Walser German is still spoken.

The Hohsandhorn (also known as Punta del Sabbione) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the Swiss-Italian border.

The Ofenhorn (also known as Punta d'Arbola) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the Swiss-Italian border. It is located between the valleys of Binn and Formazza.

The Basòdino is a mountain in the Lepontine Alps on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is the second highest peak in the canton of Ticino, after the Rheinwaldhorn. On its summit is located a geodetic point of IGM named 05A901 Monte Basodino.

The Basòdino Glacier (Italian: Ghiacciaio del Basòdino) was a 1.5 km long glacier (2005) situated in the Lepontine Alps in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 2.31 km2. Its funeral, marking its inevitable demise, was held on the 12th of September, 2021.

Pizzo Fiorèra (also known as Bedriolhorn) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the Swiss-Italian border. It is located south of the Basòdino, on the chain that separates the Italian Val Formazza from the Swiss Val Bavona.
