The Odyssey (UK Roller Coaster)

Millennium (formerly Millennium Roller Coaster) is a roller coaster at Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells, United Kingdom. It was built by Vekoma, a Dutch roller coaster manufacturer, to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium but despite its name, was opened in May 1999. It was Fantasy Island's first "Extreme Thrill Ride", and circles the park's signature pyramid structure.

At around 17:00 BST on 11 April 2004, a double-decker bus was involved in a collision with a car and a number of pedestrians outside the Fantasy Island amusement park on Sea Lane in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire, England. The collision killed five pedestrians and injured six more. The bus, a Volvo double-decker operated by Lincolnshire RoadCar, was operating a scheduled passenger service between Skegness and Chapel St Leonards when the driver, 50-year-old Stephen Topasna, dangerously drove the vehicle on Sea Lane in Ingoldmells. The bus veered onto the pavement, striking a number of pedestrians, before swerving back into the road coming to a stop after colliding with a BMW car just beyond a pelican crossing, where it had struck another group of pedestrians. With five fatalities, the Ingoldmells bus crash was the worst incident involving a bus in the United Kingdom since the M40 minibus crash in 1993. The incident remained the deadliest bus collision in the United Kingdom during the 21st century until it was surpassed by the 2017 M1 motorway crash involving a minibus.

Ingoldmells ( ING-gə-melz) is a coastal village, civil parish and resort in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated on the A52, and 3 miles (5 km) north from the resort town of Skegness. Most housing is found in the west of the village in large council complexes. Close by to the west is the village of Addlethorpe. The village primary school is on Simpson Court. There are fish and chip shops and bars near the beach. Ingoldmells is known as a holiday destination, with sites containing large numbers of caravans. The first Butlins holiday camp was in the village.

Butlins Skegness (officially Butlins Resort Skegness), formerly Butlin's Skegness or Funcoast World; is a holiday camp located in Ingoldmells near Skegness in Lincolnshire, England. Billy Butlin conceived of its creation based on his experiences at a Canadian summer camp in his youth and by observation of the actions of other holiday accommodation providers, both in seaside resort lodging houses and in earlier smaller holiday camps. Construction of the camp began in 1935 and it was opened in 1936, when it quickly proved to be a success with a need for expansion. The camp included dining and recreation facilities, such as dance halls and sports fields. During World War II the camp was taken over and used by the military, serving as a Naval training base, reverting to being a holiday camp in 1946. Since then, the camp has seen continuous use and development, in the mid-1980s and again in the late 1990s being subject to substantial investment and redevelopment. In the late 1990s, the site was re-branded as a holiday resort, and remains open today as one of three remaining Butlins resorts.

The Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge heritage railway built in 1960 using equipment from the Nocton Potato Estate railway. It was originally located at Humberston, near Cleethorpes, and operated until 1985. The equipment was removed from storage and used to create a new railway at Skegness which opened on 3 May 2009.

Seathorne is a small coastal village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north from Skegness, and directly west of Winthorpe. The area was developed in 1925, with the development of the Seathorne Estate. By 1931, the town's population had reached 9,122.

Winthorpe is a small coastal village in the civil parish of Skegness, in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north from Skegness. Winthorpe was both an ancient parish, and a civil parish, until 1 April 1926 when it was abolished. A small part of it enlarged Addlethorpe parish, and the larger part of it enlarged Skegness parish. In 1921 the parish had a population of 698. The manor belonged to Lord Monson. The church is dedicated to Saint Mary and is a Grade I listed building dating from the 13th century, although most of it is 15th-century. Today St Marys forms part of the Skegness Group of Churches, which also includes: St Matthews, Skegness; St Clement, Skegness; St Peter and St Paul, Ingoldmells; and St Nicholas, Addlethorpe.

Addlethorpe is a small village situated just off the A52 west of Ingoldmells in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. Addlethorpe is recorded in the 1086 Domesday Book with 102 households and two churches. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and is a Grade I listed building dating from the 15th century, being restored in 1875. Both the tower and the font are 15th-century, and the pulpit is early 18th-century. It lost its chancel in 1706. In the churchyard is the lower half of a 14th-century churchyard cross, which is both Grade II listed, and a scheduled monument. The Wesleyan Methodists built a chapel here in 1837, which was rebuilt in 1968. It is now part of the Skegness Coast Methodist Churches group, with services every Sunday. Addlethorpe Windmill was built about 1830 to replace an earlier post mill, and was constructed of tarred red brick. It ceased working in 1944, and today is missing its cap. It is a Grade II listed building. The golf course is 6,400 yards (5,900 m) and has an unusual par of 74. Village includes two caravan sites.

Chapel St. Leonards is a seaside resort village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 5 miles (8 km) north from the resort of Skegness and just north of Ingoldmells. It also lies right next to the North Sea. The village is a location for caravan park holidays as well as campsites, and is next to several miles of beach, and close to Fantasy Island, market towns, and the Lincolnshire Wolds. A landmark is Chapel Point, 1 mile (1.6 km) north from the centre of the village. It has a restored part of a major Second World War coastal defence line retaining the viewing platform. The adjacent North Sea Observatory, a visitors' centre providing a facility for year-round use, was constructed between 2016 and 2018. In recent years Chapel Point has become a location for birdwatchers, being visited by migrating birds such as the Mediterranean gull.

Chapel Lifeboat Station was located at the village of Chapel St Leonards, in the county of Lincolnshire. A lifeboat was first stationed here by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1870. After only 14 launches in 28 years, the station was closed in 1898.

Skegness Town Hall is a municipal building on North Parade in Skegness, a town in Lincolnshire in England. The building, which served as a convalescent home before being converted for municipal use, is a Grade II listed building.
