Cisowe, Masovian Voivodeship

Zamość (Polish pronunciation: [ˈzamɔɕt͡ɕ] ) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Leoncin, within Nowy Dwór County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of Leoncin, 19 km (12 mi) south-west of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, and 37 km (23 mi) west of Warsaw.

The Battle of Kampinos Forest was in fact a series of skirmishes and battles fought in the forests around Kampinos during the Invasion of Poland of 1939, between the Polish Army and the German Wehrmacht. By 16 September, the remnants of the Polish Wielkopolska Cavalry Brigade, the Podolska Cavalry Brigade, and the 15th and 25th Infantry Divisions, broke out of the Bzura Pocket into the Kampinos Forest.: 67  They were withdrawing through the large forest complex towards Warsaw and the Modlin Fortress. The route was adopted by the Pomorze Army, under Gen. Władysław Bortnowski, the Poznań Army, under Gen. Tadeusz Kutrzeba. At the same time the German Wehrmacht tried to cut the Polish forces out by assaulting the forests both from the north and from the south.

It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Kampinos, 22 km (14 mi) west of Ożarów Mazowiecki, and 35 km (22 mi) west of Warsaw. South of Wiejca at 52°15′31″N 20°29′56″E, there is a lattice tower used for radio relay links. This facility, whose Polish designation is SLR Wiecja, was used from 1974 to 1991 for the radio relay link between Warsaw and RCN Konstantynow.

Kampinos [kamˈpinɔs] is a village in Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Kampinos. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) east of Sochaczew and 38 km (24 mi) west of Warsaw. The village lies on the southern edge of the Kampinos Forest, which is protected as a national park (Kampinos National Park) and has been designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO.

Its seat is the village of Kampinos, which lies approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Ożarów Mazowiecki and 38 km (24 mi) west of Warsaw. The gmina covers an area of 84.25 square kilometres (32.5 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 4,105 (4,291 in 2013).
