Mayflower Manor Apartments is a high-rise residential building located at 263 South Main Street in Downtown Akron, Ohio, United States. It has 16 floors (as well as one sub-level) and stands at a height of 207 feet, making it one of the tallest buildings in the city.

The Akron Civic Theatre (originally the Loew's Theatre) is a theater in Akron, Ohio. It is one of only five remaining atmospheric theatres designed by John Eberson in the United States and is an excellent example of the great movie palaces of the 1920s. The Akron Civic Theatre is the last remaining theater of 11 opened by Marcus Loew, founder of the Loew's theater chain. The Civic is located on South Main Street in Akron and can seat 3,000 people. The theater has been exhibiting shows and special events for 95 years.

Grace Reformed Church (Grace United Church of Christ - Akron, Ohio) is a historic church at 172 W. Bowery Street in Akron, Ohio. It was built in 1926 and added to the National Register in 1984.The property was purchased by Akron Children's Hospital and the building demolished in 2016.

Akron Children's Hospital (ACH) is a pediatric acute care hospital in Northeast Ohio that provides care to infants, children, adolescents, young adults, aged 0–21 and even some older adults.

Akron YMCA Building is a registered historic building in Akron, Ohio, listed in the National Register on October 31, 1980. Although the YMCA is still in the building for which it is named, they no longer own the building, and now lease their space (consisting of exercise and sports facilities, as well as meeting rooms, which cover parts of the first 5 floors) from the owner. In the late 1980s to early 1990s, the main portion of the center of the building underwent extensive remodeling, and now consists of 55 apartment units (some consisting of two-story "townhouse" units, including a secured two-level penthouse unit). It also has office space on the first floor and basement level, and has a secured garage in the basement of the building. Tenants of the building are not given access to the YMCA just because they are tenants; a membership must be purchased. Likewise, members of the YMCA do not have access to the apartments or offices, unless they are also leasing space. In 2008, the building was highlighted by the City of Akron, Ohio as one of seven historic landmark buildings in the City of Akron, during a year-long celebration of the history of the city.

The University of Akron College of Business is a dual accredited AACSB business school of the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The college has a total enrollment of nearly 1,700 undergraduate students and 217 graduate students. All of the college's programs are accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The college currently uses two buildings, the first which was opened in 1991, is a four-story, 81,000-square-foot (7,500 m2) structure with 19 classrooms. In 2020, it was expanded with an newly built professional development building, increasing both the number of classrooms and office facilities. In addition, the college's marketing department is housed in the Polsky building, where it occupies the fifth floor. There are several institutes and research centers in the college, including the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling, the Fitzgerald Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, the Institute for Global Business, the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing, the Center for Information Technology and e-Business, the Center for Organizational Development, the Center for Research and Training in Information Security and Assurance and the Suarez Applied Marketing Research Laboratories.

The Law Building (formerly known as the Second National Bank Building and the Key Building) is a high-rise office building located at 159 South Main Street in the city of Akron, Ohio. Construction of the building began in 1910 and was completed in 1911. The building stands at a height of 150 feet, making it one of the tallest buildings in the city. The elaborate brickwork and delicate ornamentation of its facade and rigid-frame structural system are prime examples of characteristics that define neoclassical architecture.

The PNC Building, officially One Cascade Plaza, is a 23-story high-rise structure in Downtown Akron, Ohio. The building is the second-tallest in Akron. It was owned by the National City Bank until 2008, when the Pittsburgh-based PNC Bank purchased the company. In 2016, after years of the bank only having street-level signage outside the structure, PNC opted to install skyline signage on all four sides of the structure.The building was completed in 1968. In 2018, much of the building's machinery was removed and replaced amid an $8.5 million renovation for energy efficiency upgrades.

Cascade Plaza is an open space with plantings and pedestrian walkways in Akron, Ohio. It was developed in the late 1960s as part of an urban renewal project that also included construction of two high rises. As of 2013 plans were going forward for a major overhaul.

Summit County Courthouse, (1905-1908) located at 209 South High Street, Akron, Ohio was designed in the Second Renaissance Style by Cleveland architect J. Milton Dyer. The seated figures of Justice and Law were created by Cleveland sculptor Herman Matzen. Two powerful lions guard the South High Street side of the building. Dyer, a well known Cleveland, Ohio architect also worked with Cleveland sculptor Matzen again on the Lake County Courthouse, located in Painesville, Ohio, 1909. The courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Akron City Center Hotel is an 18-story hotel building in downtown Akron, Ohio. The 306-room hotel structure is the fifth-tallest in the city. It was constructed beginning in June 1970 as part of Cascade Plaza, an urban renewal project, and opened in 1971 as the Cascade Holiday Inn.Two lower floors of the building are part of the five-level underground Cascade Parking Garage, which opened in 1968. The hotel cost $6.6 million, constructed by the Ruhlin Construction Co. for a Columbus-based developer. During its construction, the nearby Mayflower Hotel closed, in May 1971, knowing the older hotel could not compete with the new structure. In 1991, the building lost its Holiday Inn franchise and became the Cascade Plaza Hotel. In 1993, a partnership purchased the building, and in 1996 it opened as the Ramada Plaza Hotel, after a total renovation. In 1998, it became the Radisson Hotel Akron City Centre. After another decade, it became the Akron City Center Hotel. The hotel closed in the winter of 2016–2017, and its contents were liquidated. A developer proposed converting the building to become residential around 2018, but the COVID-19 pandemic affected the plans. The building currently sits vacant.The hotel building was designed by William Bond Jr. and Associates, a Memphis company that designed all Holiday Inns. The work was likened to a "baby United Nations building".
