Wade Stadium

Athletic Park is a former baseball and American football stadium located in Duluth, Minnesota. Constructed in 1903, the park was the home of the Duluth White Sox (1903–1916, 1934) and the Duluth Dukes (1935–1940). The stadium was also home to the Duluth Kelleys/Eskimos of the National Football League (1923–1926). It had a capacity of 6,000 spectators. It was demolished and replaced by Wade Stadium in 1941.

Lincoln Park is one of the larger neighborhoods (in terms of area) in the city of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Lincoln Park is situated between Garfield Avenue to the ore docks at Carlton Street / 34th Avenue West. The neighborhood stretches up the hill to Skyline Parkway. Lincoln Park also refers to a large park within the neighborhood. The main routes in the community are U.S. 53 / Piedmont Avenue; 24th Avenue West; and Michigan, Superior, First, and Third Streets. Third Street had a road construction makeover in 2006; and U.S. 53 / Piedmont Avenue had a road construction makeover in 2004. Both of these completed road projects have enhanced the neighborhood. Miller Creek and Coffee Creek both flow through the neighborhood. Goat Hill and Rice's Point are both located within the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Garfield Avenue runs through the middle of Rice's Point. The Duluth Harbor Basin is located along the eastern side of Rice's Point. The Saint Louis Bay is located along the western side of Rice's Point and also below the John Blatnik Bridge (I-535). At the time of the 2000 census, Lincoln Park had a population of 6,504, representing an 8.9% decline from the 1990 census (the largest decrease in any of Duluth's neighborhood districts) with a total area of 1,954 acres (7.91 km2), or 5% of Duluth's total land space. A portion of that land is devoted to industrial and commercial uses. The neighborhood was known as the West End until 1996 when it was officially renamed to the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Duluth Denfeld High School, also known as Denfeld High School, is one of two high schools in Duluth, Minnesota along with Duluth East as of 2011 after the closure of Duluth Central and the previous closing of Morgan Park HS in 1982. Serving over 1000 students from grades nine to twelve, Denfeld High School has become a West Duluth landmark. The school is known for its architecture, including a historic auditorium and a 120-foot clock tower visible from Grand Avenue.

Duluth Business University (DBU) was a private for-profit college in Duluth, Minnesota that closed in June 2018. At its peak it enrolled about 300 students and was the oldest college in Duluth, Minnesota. DBU closed in June 2018 because its accreditor had its authority revoked by the U.S. Department of Education which has caused enrollment problems for the institution.

The Lincoln Branch Library is a former Carnegie library building in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. It was constructed from 1915 to 1917 as the first permanent home of a Duluth Public Library branch first established in 1892. The Lincoln Branch Library was built of brick and limestone in the Late Gothic Revival style. It was the last of the three Carnegie libraries built in Duluth.Library services moved to a new facility in 1990. Two years later the Duluth Art Institute (DAI) purchased the vacated library building. The DAI uses the venue to host studio space, classes, and events.In 2013 the Lincoln Branch Library building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its local significance in the theme of social history. It was nominated for reflecting the evolving emphasis of the Carnegie Foundation and Duluth Public Library on branch libraries and on providing services in working-class neighborhoods.

Piedmont Heights is a neighborhood in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Piedmont Avenue, Chambersburg Avenue, and Morris Thomas Road are three of the main routes in the community. The neighborhood is located between Haines Road and Skyline Parkway.

The Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge, also known as the Bong Bridge, connects Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin, via U.S. Highway 2 (US 2). Opened on October 25, 1985, it is roughly 11,800 feet (3,600 m) long, including about 8,300 feet (2,500 m) over water. It crosses the Saint Louis Bay, which drains into Lake Superior. The bridge rises 120 feet above the river to accommodate maritime traffic in a 400-foot-wide navigation channel. The Bong Bridge is one of two connecting Duluth and Superior. A through-arch bridge downstream from the Bong -- the John A. Blatnik Bridge -- carries Interstate 535 (I-535) over the water.

The Spirit Valley neighborhood and business district is located within the West Duluth district of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Many stores and businesses in the neighborhood are concentrated along Grand Avenue, Central Avenue, Ramsey Street, and Bristol Street. The Spirit Valley business district is easily accessible from Interstate Highway 35 at Central Avenue. The Spirit Valley neighborhood, according to the city's official map, follows Grand Avenue between 46th Avenue West and 59th Avenue West; and includes the entire area between Grand Avenue and Mike Colalillo Drive.

The Oneota neighborhood is located within the West Duluth district of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. The neighborhood was named for the prehistoric Oneota Native American culture.Interstate Highway 35, 40th Avenue West, West Michigan Street, and Oneota Street are four of the main routes in the community. Part of the neighborhood is located along Saint Louis Bay. The entrance to the Bong Bridge (U.S. 2) is located within the Oneota neighborhood at 46th Avenue West. Local business establishments include Perkins–West.

Bent Paddle Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in Duluth, Minnesota. In May 2013, their brewery and taproom opened to the public with distribution of kegs and cans in the Duluth area beginning shortly thereafter. In November 2013, limited distribution of cans to liquor stores in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area began. An expansion was simultaneously announced with a stated goal of expanding production from 4,500 bbl to 8,000 bbl per year. As of 2015, Bent Paddle reported 13,850 bbl produced for the year.

Enger Tower is an 80-foot (24 m), five-story stone observation tower atop Enger Hill in Duluth, Minnesota.

Lake Superior College (LSC) is a public community college in Duluth, Minnesota. The college offers pre-baccalaureate majors for students interested in transferring to 4-year educational institutions as well as more than 90 certificate, diploma and degree programs in career and technical fields. LSC's Continuing Education/Customized Training division collaborates with area businesses and industry to design specialized opportunities for entry-level and advanced education. While courses are typically offered in traditional classroom and lab settings, LSC also offers over 150 courses via the internet, through its e-campus.
