Oneota (Duluth)

The Spirit Valley neighborhood and business district is located within the West Duluth district of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Many stores and businesses in the neighborhood are concentrated along Grand Avenue, Central Avenue, Ramsey Street, and Bristol Street. The Spirit Valley business district is easily accessible from Interstate Highway 35 at Central Avenue. The Spirit Valley neighborhood, according to the city's official map, follows Grand Avenue between 46th Avenue West and 59th Avenue West; and includes the entire area between Grand Avenue and Mike Colalillo Drive.

The Cody neighborhood is located within the West Duluth district of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Cody Street, Highland Street, 59th Avenue West, and West 8th Street are four of the main routes in the Cody neighborhood. Keene Creek flows through the neighborhood.

Duluth Denfeld High School, also known as Denfeld High School, is one of two high schools in Duluth, Minnesota along with Duluth East as of 2011 after the closure of Duluth Central and the previous closing of Morgan Park HS in 1982. Serving over 1000 students from grades nine to twelve, Denfeld High School has become a West Duluth landmark. The school is known for its architecture, including a historic auditorium and a 120-foot clock tower visible from Grand Avenue.

Duluth Business University (DBU) was a private for-profit college in Duluth, Minnesota that closed in June 2018. At its peak it enrolled about 300 students and was the oldest college in Duluth, Minnesota. DBU closed in June 2018 because its accreditor had its authority revoked by the U.S. Department of Education which has caused enrollment problems for the institution.

Irving School is a former school building in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. It operated as a school from its construction in 1895 until 1982, when it was closed due to declining enrollment. Upon closing it underwent adaptive reuse as an apartment building. In 1992 the Irving School was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for its early Renaissance Revival design by Palmer, Hall, & Hunt and for its association with the expansion and evolution of the Duluth school system.

The Denfeld neighborhood, according to the city's map, is bounded by West 8th Street until Central Avenue; by Central Avenue until its intersection with Grand Avenue; Grand Avenue, until it crosses 46th Avenue West; and a divide near the Interstate 35 freeway until the railroad tracks near Carlton Street, the classic dividing-point between West Duluth and rival neighborhood Lincoln Park. Duluth Denfeld High School serves most of West Duluth; six neighborhoods farther to the west; and both Lincoln Park and Piedmont Heights to the east; and is an architectural icon of the neighborhood.

Norton Park is a neighborhood in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Grand Avenue serves as a main route in the community. The neighborhood is located between 75th Avenue West and 85th Avenue West. The neighborhood is situated between Kingsbury Creek and Knowlton Creek. Indian Point Park along the Saint Louis River is located within the Norton Park neighborhood.

Athletic Park is a former baseball and American football stadium located in Duluth, Minnesota. Constructed in 1903, the park was the home of the Duluth White Sox (1903–1916, 1934) and the Duluth Dukes (1935–1940). The stadium was also home to the Duluth Kelleys/Eskimos of the National Football League (1923–1926). It had a capacity of 6,000 spectators. It was demolished and replaced by Wade Stadium in 1941.

West Duluth refers to an official neighborhood district in the west–central part of Duluth, Minnesota, United States. Grand Avenue, Central Avenue, Cody Street, and Interstate Highway 35 are four of the main routes in West Duluth. Other main routes in West Duluth include 40th Avenue West, 46th Avenue West, and Mike Colalillo Drive.

Wade Stadium is a baseball park located near the intersection of Grand Avenue and 34th Avenue West in the West Duluth neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. The stadium was built in 1941 and holds 4,200 people. It is the home of the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League and The College of St. Scholastica baseball team who have won 19 straight Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular season and 18 straight post-season titles. "The Wade", as it is sometimes called by fans, was also the home of the Duluth–Superior Dukes of the reincarnated Northern League from 1993 until 2002, and the home of Dukes of the original Northern League from 1941 until 1970. One of a dying breed of Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed stadiums, "The Wade" is noted for its short distances (especially from home plate to center field), its high fences, and the cool, damp weather generated by nearby Lake Superior.
