Beaulieu Abbey

Beaulieu ( BEW-lee) is a village located on the southeastern edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, England. It is home to both Palace House and the National Motor Museum. In 2020, it was named the fifth most beautiful village in the UK and Ireland by Condé Nast Traveler.

Beaulieu Palace House ( BEW-lee) is a 13th-century house in Beaulieu, Hampshire, United Kingdom. Originally part of Beaulieu Abbey, the estate was bought in 1538 by Thomas Wriothesley, 1st Earl of Southampton, following the Dissolution of the Monasteries. It is still owned and occupied by the earl's descendants, the Barons Montagu of Beaulieu.

The National Motor Museum (originally the Montagu Motor Museum) is a museum in the village of Beaulieu, set in the heart of the New Forest, in the English county of Hampshire.

The Beaulieu Monorail is England's first monorail, linking the National Motor Museum to the Beaulieu Palace House. the monorail line passes through the main museum building, allowing passengers to see the automobile collection from above. Originally installed at a Butlins Holiday Camp, the monorail was moved to its present location in 1974. The cars were originally of a streamliner design, but were modified to allow for more passenger space prior to beginning work at Beaulieu. The line was formally opened 29 July 1974.In late 2023 the museum applied for planning permission to demolish the south station on the basis that most passengers ride the entire loop from the main station. The New Forest Natonal Parks Authority granted permission at the end of December 2023.

East Boldre is a linear village and civil parish situated near Lymington, Hampshire, England. East Boldre is surrounded by the New Forest and forms part of the district of New Forest. Buckler's Hard is a hamlet on the banks of the Beaulieu River in the English county of Hampshire. With its Georgian cottages running down to the river, Buckler's Hard is part of the 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare) Beaulieu Estate. The hamlet is some 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south of the village of Beaulieu.

Applemore College is a secondary school in Hampshire, England, situated in the village of Dibden Purlieu on the edge of the New Forest. It offers education to over 600 students between the ages of 11 and 16 and has specialist subject status for the teaching of Technology.

Testwood School (formerly Testwood Sports College) is a secondary school with academy status located in the town of Totton and Eling, England. The school was built in the late 1930s but its opening was delayed by World War II. The school takes pupils between 11 and 16, and holds adult skills classes after school hours.

Dibden Purlieu () is a village situated on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, England. The village merges with the nearby town of Hythe. It is in the civil parish of Hythe and Dibden. The approximate population is around 4000 people. The regular Bluestar bus services provide Purlieu's quickest link with the city of Southampton. Dibden Purlieu is twinned with Mauves-sur-Loire, France.

Royal Air Force Needs Oar Point or more simply RAF Needs Oar Point is a former Royal Air Force advanced landing ground located near Lymington in Hampshire, England. Constructed in 1943 it was used from April 1944 as a base for Hawker Typhoon fighter-bomber squadrons of No. 146 Wing of the 2nd Tactical Air Force supporting the Normandy landings. All four operational squadrons moved to RAF Hurn for two weeks before moving on to France by July 1944 and the airfield was returned to agricultural use in 1945.
