The Versoix (French pronunciation: [vɛʁswa]) is a river in France and in Switzerland. It is a 21.8 kilometres (13.5 mi) tributary of Lake Geneva (French: Lac Léman). Its catchment area is 90.7 km2 (35.0 sq mi), of which 72.6 km2 in France.The river begins in the Jura Mountains in Ain, France as Rivière la Divonne. It flows eastward through Divonne-les-Bains and Lac de Divonne approaching the Canton of Vaud. From there it turns southward toward form 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi) of the France–Switzerland border, entering the Canton of Geneva and continuing eastward toward Versoix where it enters the lake.

Mies is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Mies is one of the communes of the Canton de Vaud which are collectively known as the "Terre-Sainte". Located approximately halfway between Geneva and Nyon, Mies sits on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), which lies to the southeast. The highest point of Mies is 455m above sea level. To the southwest lies Versoix, in the Canton of Geneva and to the northwest Chavannes-de-Bogis, which houses a major shopping mall. To the north and west lie the Communes of Tannay, Bogis-Bossey, and Coppet. Mies is separated from the neighbouring commune of Tannay by a small ravine containing a stream called le nant du Torry.

Bellerive Castle

Bellerive Castle (French: Château de Bellerive) is a château in the municipality of Collonge-Bellerive of the Canton of Geneva in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. Bellerive Castle was constructed in 1666 for Charles-Emmanuel II. The construction was received with resentment by the locals and led to a war between the Republic of Geneva and the Duchy of Savoy.The château was formerly the home of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan. On 31 August 2013, it was the setting for the wedding of Prince Rahim Aga Khan and Kendra Spears, who then became known as Princess Salwa Aga Khan. In 2022 it was reported that Dinara Kulibaeva has bought Bellerive Castle for an alleged price of 106 million Swiss francs.
