Nagoya Civic General Gymnasium (名古屋市総合体育館, Nagoya-shi Sōgō Taiikukan), formerly Nagoya Rainbow Hall, is an indoor sports arena located in Nagoya, Japan. From April 1, 2007, its name was changed to Nippon Gaishi Hall, to reflect the sponsorship of the NGK Insulators. The capacity of the arena is 10,000 people. The hall hosted some of the group games for the 2006 and 2010 editions of the official Women's Volleyball World Championship. It hosted Dream 16, the mixed martial arts promotion in Japan on September 25, 2010. The card was headlined by a triple main event, as Shinya Aoki takes on Marcus Aurelio in a Lightweight non-title match, MMA legend Kazushi Sakuraba met Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Tatsuya Mizuno vs. Gegard Mousasi vied in the Dream Light-Heavyweight Grand Prix Final. The card was broadcast live by HDNet at 2AM US Eastern time.

Italia Mura (名古屋港イタリア村, Nagoya Kō Itaria Mura, lit. "Nagoya Port Italy Village") was a themed commercial complex operated within the Nagoya Port Garden area within Nagoya Port in Minato-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It consisted of theme park attractions such gondola and horse-drawn carriage rides as well as Italian-themed stores and restaurants. Italia Mura opened in April 2005, about a month before Nagoya established a sister city relationship with Turin. Due to increasing debt, the facility closed in May 2008. The site was used by various businesses and as a cosplay backdrop through December 2014, when it was closed for demolition. Final demolition concluded in June 2015.

Hoshizaki Castle (Japanese: 星崎城, romanized: Hoshizaki-jō) was a Japanese castle in Hoshizaki (星崎) town, today a part of Minami-ku, Nagoya Japan.The origins of the castle, such as the date of construction, are unknown. The Okada family were in the beginning the lords of the castle. In the 16th century the Yamaguchi family succeeded them and held the castle for generations until it was abandoned by Yamaguchi Shigemasa, who moved in 1588.There was the Honmaru enceinte, along with the Ninomaru and Sannomaru. Connected to the complex was the Hoshimiya Shrine (星宮社), which also served as a lighthouse for the nearby sea.Today former parts of the castle are bisected by the Meitetsu railroad while another part houses the Kasadera school.A memorial stele out of stone marks the place where the castle used to stand. The area is served by the Moto Hoshizaki Station.
