Dr. James Compton House, also known as the Sandy's Oak Ridge Manor Tea House , is a historic home located at Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri. The original section was built about 1829, as a log dwelling. It was later enlarged and expanded through 1952 during its ownership by the Compton family. Also on the property are the contributing frame blacksmith shop and frame guest house. It is one of the oldest surviving residential structures in the city.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Located in Claycomo, Missouri, United States, the plant is about 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Kansas City, Missouri. The plant consists of 4.7 million square feet (440,000 m2) of production space and employs approximately 7,000 hourly workers represented by the United Auto Workers Local 249. It is the largest car manufacturing plant in the United States in terms of vehicles produced.

Atkins-Johnson Farmhouse Property, also known as the Alkins Farm, is a historic home and farm complex located at Gladstone, Clay County, Missouri. The original log section of the farmhouse was built about 1826; it was enlarged to the present I-house about 1853. Also on the property are the contributing root cellar and entrance structure, a milk house, a well and pump structure, and a vehicular and equipment garage.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Winnetonka High School is a high school in the North Kansas City School District. The school is located at 5815 NE 48 Street in Kansas City North, Missouri. Winnetonka opened in 1971. Originally built to hold 2,000 students, it now has approximately 1,350. In Fall 2008, some of Winnetonka's students were transferred to the district's new high school, Staley High School, as well as North Kansas City High School due to boundary changes. Its boundary includes the communities of Birmingham, Claycomo, Pleasant Valley, and Randolph.

Worlds of Fun is an entertainment complex with more than 235 acres located in Kansas City, Missouri. It is the largest amusement park and water park in the Midwest. Founded by American businessmen Lamar Hunt and Jack Steadman, the park opened in 1973 under the ownership of Hunt's company, Mid-America Enterprises. Oceans of Fun is a water park which was added in 1982 and is next to the amusement park. Included in the price of admission to Worlds of Fun is admission to Oceans of Fun. Both parks were sold to Cedar Fair in 1995 for $40 million.

Orient Express was a steel roller coaster located at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri. Introduced in 1980, the ride was manufactured by Arrow Huss and designed by Ron Toomer. It was replaced in 2004 by Spinning Dragons, a Gerstlauer spinning roller coaster. The red-orange track was located between the two entrances of the park. The station house was retained for use with a haunted attraction during the park's annual Halloween event.
