Nallin Farm House

The Nallin Farm Springhouse and Bank Barn are closely associated with the Nallin Farm House on the grounds of Fort Detrick, Maryland, US. The barn is a good example of a fieldstone-built bank barn with a byre on the lower level and an earth ramp on the opposite side providing access to a haymow.The simple stone springhouse is the source of 3+1⁄2-acre Nallin Pond. The barn and springhouse were built c. 1800. The Nallin Farm Springhouse and Bank Barn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.The barn has a hay hood, as can be seen in the 14th of 17 photos included in the nomination.

USAMRIID is the only U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) laboratory equipped to study highly hazardous viruses at Biosafety Level 4 within positive pressure personnel suits. USAMRIID employs both military and civilian scientists as well as highly specialized support personnel, totaling around 800 people. In the 1950s and 1960s, USAMRIID and its predecessor unit pioneered unique, state-of-the-art biocontainment facilities which it continues to maintain and upgrade. Investigators at its facilities frequently collaborate with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and major biomedical and academic centers worldwide. USAMRIID was the first bio-facility of its type to research the Ames strain of anthrax, determined through genetic analysis to be the bacterium used in the 2001 anthrax attacks.

Rose Hill Manor, now known as Rose Hill Manor Park & Children's Museum, is a historic home located at Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick house. A notable feature is the large two-story pedimented portico supported by fluted Doric columns on the first floor and Ionic columns on the balustraded second floor. It was the retirement home of Thomas Johnson (1732–1819), the first elected governor of the State of Maryland and Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. It was built in the mid-1790s by his daughter and son-in-law.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Edgewood is a historic home located at Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story multipart limestone farmhouse featuring narrow courses of native stone. The house was constructed and added to over the 18th and 19th century and reflects the Greek Revival style popular at that time. It is associated with the Schley family, prominent 19th century residents of Frederick County, who held the farm from 1830 until 1911.Edgewood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was destroyed by fire in 2010 and has been delisted from the register.

Spring Bank Farm is a large house, built in 1880 near Frederick, Maryland in the small community of Harmony Grove. The house combines Gothic Revival and Italianate architecture. The house retains much of its historic detailing and interior fabric, as well as a number of outbuildings.The Spring Bank Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

NBACC is an important part of the National Interagency Biodefense Campus (NIBC) also located at Fort Detrick for the US Army, National Institutes of Health and the US Department of Agriculture.

The James K.P. Wolfe House is a historic home in Frederick, Maryland. It is a two-story, frame, single hall plan, Victorian period farmhouse with Gothic Revival-style detailing. It is a late-19th century example of the Maryland Piedmont farmhouse. The dwelling was built in 1889 by the Wolfe family, who owned the property until 1936.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
