Saboten Con is an annual four-day anime convention held during August/September at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. The convention is held over Labor Day weekend. Its name comes from the Japanese word saboten, meaning "cactus".

The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown is a $350 million (USD), high rise convention hotel, located on 3rd Street north of Van Buren Street in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, adjacent to the Arizona Center office/retail complex and the Phoenix Convention Center, which had its North building opened in early 2008. At 31 floors it has surpassed the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, at 24 floors, as the tallest hotel tower in Arizona. In July, 2003, the Phoenix City Council approved the USD $350 million convention center hotel, to be owned by the city, and developed and operated by Sheraton Hotels as a Starwood facility. On November 3, 2004, the city of Phoenix announced Arquitectonica and RSP Architects had been selected to build the project. Groundbreaking was in late March 2006. The tower was topped out in October 2007. The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown welcomed it first guests on September 30, 2008. The hotel has 1,000 rooms, a 6,500-square-foot (600 m2) fitness center, a 2,000-square-foot (190 m2) outdoor pool and sundeck, 80,000 square feet (7,400 m2) of meeting space including a 29,000-square-foot (2,700 m2) ballroom and a 15,000-square-foot (1,400 m2) junior ballroom. In addition, there are 16 meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a terrace for outdoor events. The exterior color palette of browns, oranges and yellows were chosen to represent the desert sky at sunset. The curved roofline mimics the slope of nearby Camelback Mountain. In November 2015, the hotel was renamed Sheraton Grand Phoenix, as part of Sheraton's new Sheraton Grand designation. In June 2018, the city of Phoenix sold the Sheraton Grand to Marriott International at a significant loss, for $255 million. Marriott renovated the hotel from 2019-2020, after which they expect to sell it. The hotel returned to its original name in early 2020, removing the Grand branding. It closed in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic though renovations continued. It reopened in April 25 2021.

St. Mary's Basilica – officially The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary – is a church of the Diocese of Phoenix located at 231 North 3rd Street at the corner of East Monroe Street in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It was previously known as St. Mary's Church. It was built from 1902 to 1914 in a combination of the Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival styles, and was dedicated in 1915. It replaced an earlier adobe church built in 1881 when the parish was founded. The parish has been staffed by the Franciscan Friars since 1895. The current church was elevated to a minor basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1985. The oldest Catholic parish church in the greater Phoenix area, St. Mary's was the only parish in Phoenix until 1924 and is home to Arizona's largest stained glass windows collection and a 26-rank pipe organ built by the Schantz Organ Company.

Symphony Hall is a multi-purpose performing arts venue, located at 75 North 2nd Street between North 3rd Street and East Washington Street in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Part of Phoenix Civic Plaza, the hall is bounded to the north by the West Building of the Phoenix Convention Center. The Hall is the home of the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, and Ballet Arizona, and the site of numerous other performances. It was built from 1969 to 1972 and was designed by Charles Luckman in the Brutalist style. The Hall was renovated in 2004.

The Phoenix Convention Center is an events venue in downtown Phoenix, Arizona located along East Monroe, East Washington, East Jefferson, North Second, North Third, and North Fifth Streets. It opened in 1972 and hosts national and regional conventions and trade shows as well as consumer events and theatrical productions. It consists of three buildings: the North and West Buildings are connected underground by a shared exhibit hall and by a skyway bridge over North Third Street, while the South Building is a stand-alone facility. In addition, the "Third Street Canyon" between the North and West Buildings can be used as an outdoor event space.

Chase Tower (formerly known as Valley Center and Bank One Center) is a 40-story skyscraper at 201 North Central Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. Opened in 1972, the building was designed by architects Welton Becket and Fred M. Guirey. The skyscraper is located in Central Avenue Corridor, an economic and residential region of Downtown Phoenix. Chase Tower was initially constructed for Valley National Bank. In 1973, Bank One merged with Valley National Bank, and in 2005, Chase merged with Bank One. The building was renamed in December 2005. At 483 ft (147 m), Chase Tower is the tallest building in Arizona.

The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law (ASU Law) is one of the professional graduate schools at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. The school is located in the Beus Center for Law and Society on ASU's downtown Phoenix campus. The law school was created in 1965 as the Arizona State University College of Law upon recommendation of the Arizona Board of Regents, with the first classes held in the fall of 1967. The school has held American Bar Association accreditation since 1969 and is a member of the Order of the Coif. The school is also a member of the Association of American Law Schools. In 2006, the law school was renamed in honor of retired United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. ASU Law is ranked 30th overall in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, the 12th-highest public law school, and the higher-ranked law school of the two in Arizona.

The Security Building is a building in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, completed in 1928 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Freeport-McMoRan Center (formerly One Central Park East) is a highrise located in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It is located adjacent to Arizona State University's Downtown campus. Upon completion in 2009, the building was the first high-rise office tower to open in Downtown Phoenix in nearly eight years. It is named for mining company Freeport-McMoRan whose headquarters are located in the building.

The Heard Building (alternatively the Greater Arizona Savings Building) is a 7-story high-rise building in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, it housed the offices of The Arizona Republic (formerly the Arizona Republican) and the Phoenix Gazette from 1920 to 1948. The building was constructed between 1919 and 1920 and was the first high-rise building to be erected in Phoenix. It held the title of tallest building in Arizona for four years until the completion of the Luhrs Building in 1924.

The Professional Building in Phoenix, Arizona is an Art Deco skyscraper. Built in 1932, it is 171 feet (52 m) tall. Angles and setbacks are played up in this streamlined Art Deco design. A central tower rises from the two-story base with a wing on the western side of the building. The entrances on Central Avenue and Monroe Street feature decorative grills above the doors. It functioned as an office building from 1932 until losing its last tenants in the 1990s. The building subsequently sat empty for two decades, before reopening as a hotel in 2015.

Arizona Center is a shopping center and office complex located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
