The John Molson School of Business, commonly known as John Molson, is a business school located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The John Molson School of Business was established in 1974 by Concordia University.

Bishop Street (officially in French: rue Bishop) is a north–south street located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With a total length of 0.6 km, it links Sherbrooke Street in the north to René Lévesque Boulevard in the south. Like neighbouring Crescent Street, Bishop is home to many pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants. The street borders the main downtown campus of Concordia University, including the Henry F. Hall Building, Bishop Court Apartments and the former Royal George Apartments, whose facade is now part of the J.W. McConnell Building.

Rue de la Montagne, also known as Mountain Street, is a north–south street located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It starts at Wellington Street in the south and continues to above Doctor Penfield Avenue in the north, where it stops in a dead end just short of Pine Avenue. Notable businesses located along the street include Ogilvy's, an upscale department store.

Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, formerly and still colloquially Ogilvy (French: La Maison Ogilvy), is a Canadian department store located on Saint Catherine Street West in the downtown core of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It has been owned by the Selfridges Group, which itself is owned by British-Canadian businessman Galen Weston, since 2011. Through this ownership, it is affiliated with the Canadian department store Holt Renfrew and the European department stores Arnotts, Brown Thomas, de Bijenkorf, and Selfridges. The store is the only one of four major west-end retailers in Montreal that still operates with its original name, and is nicknamed the "grande dame of Saint Catherine Street".Ogilvy originated as a dry goods store, and was founded in 1866 by James Angus Ogilvy. The store moved into its present-day location on the corner of Saint Catherine Street West and Rue de la Montagne in 1912, and was considered a full-line department store by 1920. It now houses several departments of store-within-a-store designs for luxury goods brands including Burberry, Hermes, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Dior. The store was rebranded to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in 2019, and completed a significant renovation and expansion in 2020; it provides for the consolidation of the existing Holt Renfrew on Sherbrooke Street West into the larger, 23,000-square-metre (250,000 sq ft) Ogilvy building.

Fantasia International Film Festival (also known as Fantasia-fest, FanTasia, and Fant-Asia) is a film festival that has been based mainly in Montreal since its founding in 1996. Regularly held in July of each year, it is valued by both hardcore genre film fans, and distributors, who take advantage of the eclectic line up to select domestic and international films for release across North America. By virtue of the reputation developed over the last 15 years, this festival has been described as perhaps the "most outstanding and largest genre film festival in North America".

Concordia University (French: Université Concordia) is an English-language public research university located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1974 following the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University, Concordia is one of the three universities in Quebec where English is the primary language of instruction (the others being McGill and Bishop's). As of the 2020–21 academic year, there were 51,253 students enrolled in credit courses at Concordia, making the university among the largest in Canada by enrolment. The J.W. McConnell Building is an academic building on the Sir George Williams campus of Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Built in 1992, it is named for John Wilson McConnell, a Canadian businessman and philanthropist whose foundation contributed to the building's erection. It sits between Bishop Street and Mackay Street on De Maisonneuve Boulevard in the Quartier Concordia. It is the home of the R. Howard Webster Library, the Departments of Education, English, Études Français, History, and Mathematics & Statistics. It is also home to the Leonard and Bina Ellen Art Gallery, the J.A. DeSève Cinema, the Birks Student Centre and Welcome Centre, as well as many other services such as the Campus Bookstore and Print Services.

Concordia University Library is the library system at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Concordia University has three library locations. The R. Howard Webster Library is located in the J.W. McConnell Building on the Sir George Williams Campus and the Georges P. Vanier Library is located on the Loyola Campus. On September 2, 2014, the Library opened the Grey Nuns Reading Room, a silent study space for Concordia students located in the former Chapel of the Invention of the Holy Cross. The Reading Room has seating for 192 students, with an additional 42 chairs in small reading rooms. A Political Science student was the first to enter.The Concordia University Library houses several special collections including the Azrieli Holocaust Collection and the Irving Layton Collection. Most Special Collections are located in the Vanier Library. The Library also maintains the university's institutional repository, Spectrum.The Concordia University Library is a member of the Canadian Association of Research Libraries. Concordia University Library also has partnerships with the Canadian Research Knowledge Network and The Data Liberation Initiative.Since 1990, Concordia University Library has been hosting an annual public holiday auction, held every December, where all proceeds go to over 10 Montreal-based charities. The fundraising event is planned and run wholly by the Library staff, also featuring a potluck lunch.

Quartier Concordia is a neighbourhood redevelopment project centred on Concordia University's Sir George Williams campus in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Bordered by Sherbrooke Street, Saint-Mathieu Street, René Lévesque Boulevard and Bishop Street, the district is designed to be a green urban campus that will improve the use and quality of public places and spaces, student life on campus and transportation.As part of the redesign, the small Norman Bethune Square has been redesigned and enlarged. Sidewalks in the area will also be widened, with additional trees.Within the area is Grey Nuns Motherhouse, a student residence. As of September 2010, a tunnel links the university's Hall and J.W. McConnell buildings with the Guy-Concordia metro station. The hallway was completed in Spring 2010. However, a project to create a green space on Mackay Street was put on hold.

The York Theatre was an Art deco cinema and mixed-use complex in Montreal, opened in 1938 and demolished in 2001 for the construction of the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex of Concordia University. The York was designed by architects Perry, Luke and Little, with an interior design by Emmanuel Briffa. Briffa, who had overseen interior designs of over 100 cinemas in Canada, commissioned murals by artist Kenneth Hensley Holmden for the project. These murals were badly damaged by a fire in 1989. Three of eight murals were removed and restored by the university, and are now incorporated into its new building.Concordia purchased the complex in 1998, deciding that it was too badly deteriorated to save. It was demolished in 2001.The building had included residential and commercial space, in addition to the cinema. It was built with a capacity of 1,200 theatre goers for the United Amusement Corporation.

Drummond Street (officially rue Drummond) is a north–south street located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Spanning a total of 1.2 kilometres, it links Doctor Penfield Avenue in the north and De la Gauchetière Street in the south. A mix of businesses are located on this street such as bookstores, pubs and restaurants. A branch of the YMCA and George Stephen House, the final location of the Mount Stephen Club, are also on this street.
