Lech Browary Wielkopolski (Polish pronunciation: [ˈlɛɣ brɔˌvarɨ vjɛlkɔˈpɔlskʲi]; English: Lech Breweries of Greater Poland) is a big industrial brewery in Poznań, with a production capacity of 7.5 million hl. The plant is owned by Asahi Breweries subsidiary Kompania Piwowarska SA.

Nowe Miasto (Polish: [ˈnɔvɛ ˈmjastɔ]; "New Town") is a part of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It was one of the five governmental districts (dzielnicas) into which the city was divided prior to 1990, and which are retained for certain administrative purposes. Nowe Miasto consists of those parts of the city which lie on the right (east) bank of the Warta river. It includes the island of Ostrów Tumski, which lies between the two channels of the river and on which the city's cathedral stands. Nowe Miasto includes some of the most historical parts of the city (Śródka, Komandoria) as well as the extensive modern residential areas of Rataje. The district covers an area of 105.1 square kilometres (40.6 sq mi) and has a population of 141,424 (at 30 June 2008). Nowe Miasto borders the districts of Stare Miasto ("Old Town") and Wilda to the west. It is also bordered by the administrative districts (gminas) of Czerwonak to the north, Swarzędz to the north-east, Kleszczewo to the east, and Kórnik to the south-east.

The Park Railway Maltanka (Polish: Kolejka Parkowa Maltanka, sometimes abbreviated to Maltanka) is a 600 mm (1 ft 11+5⁄8 in) narrow gauge railway located in Poznań. It is 3.85 kilometres (2.4 mi) long and is owned by Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne w Poznaniu Sp. z o.o. (English: Public Transport Company in Poznań Ltd.). The line connects Rondo Śródka (Śródka Roundabout) and New Zoo transporting max. 150.000 passengers annually (e.g. 2019 - 138.122 passengers; 2020 - "Covid year" with extremely low result - 73.502 passengers).

Lake Malta, known also as the Maltański Reservoir, is an artificial lake in Poznań, Poland. It was formed in 1952 as a result of the damming of the Cybina River. It is about 2.2 km long (with the circuit of 5,6 km), which makes the lake the biggest man-made lake of the city. The water is 3.1 m deep on average with a maximum about 5 m. There are a number of recreational attractions along the edge of the lake including: an artificial ski slope, an artificial ice rink, a zoological garden, Kolejka Parkowa Maltanka - a narrow gauge railway, the Mound of Freedom, seasonal bikes rental - MaltaBikeThe lake also has one of the oldest man-made rowing venues in Europe - The Malta Regatta Course. This dates back to 1952 and has held a number of Rowing World Cup events. It also hosted the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in 1990 and 2001, and did so again in 2010. The lake also gives its name to the Malta theatre festival, held in Poznań annually in June, with some of the shows taking place next to the lake. The name of the lake comes from the Knights Hospitaller also known as Knights of Malta. The lake was built on land owned by Church of St. John of Jerusalem Outside the Walls, given to the order in 1187 by duke Mieszko III the Old. Because of the importance of the lake for the city of Poznań, various methods to improve its water quality have been investigated.

The Faculty of Architecture Poznań University of Technology (Pl. Wydział Architektury Politechniki Poznańskiej) is one of the schools of architecture in Poland. It was founded in 1950, existed until 1954. The founder was Władysław Czarnecki. Poznań Wschód railway station (English: Poznań East) is a railway station serving the north east of the city of Poznań, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The station is located at the junction of the Warsaw–Kunowice railway, Poznań–Skandawa railway and Poznań–Bydgoszcz railway. The train services are operated by Przewozy Regionalne and Koleje Wielkopolskie.

The Church of Saint John of Jerusalem outside the walls (Polish: Kościół św. Jana Jerozolimskiego za murami) is a Roman Catholic parish church in the city of Poznań in western Poland. The original church on this site was built at the end of the 11th century, making it one of the oldest churches within the present boundaries of Poznań. It stands on the south-eastern corner of the Rondo Śródka roundabout, between the neighbourhoods of Śródka and Komandoria, within the city's Nowe Miasto district. It is close to the north-west corner of Lake Malta. The epithet "Outside the Walls" refers to the fact that it lay outside Poznań's medieval defensive walls. The church is dedicated to St. John of Jerusalem (John the Baptist), the patron saint of the Knights Hospitallers, to whom the church belonged until 1832 (and to whom it has now been restored).

Świątniczki (Polish pronunciation: [ɕfjɔntˈɲit͡ʂkʲi]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kórnik, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland.

Poznań Krzesiny railway station is a railway station serving the Krzesiny neighbourhood of the city of Poznań, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The station is located on the Kluczbork–Poznań railway and Poznań Krzesiny–Kobylnica railway. The train services are operated by Przewozy Regionalne.

Rataje [raˈtajɛ] is a large residential area in the eastern part of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It contains a number of housing estates, consisting mainly of prefabricated concrete panel blocks, housing a total of approximately 90,000 people (about one sixth of the city's total population). The former village of Rataje was situated close to the right bank of the river Warta, and was incorporated into the city of Poznań in 1925. The area today referred to as Rataje also includes the former villages of Chartowo and Żegrze, brought within the city boundaries during the time of Nazi occupation in the early 1940s. The area was within the city's former Nowe Miasto district (1954–1990); in the current administrative division of Poznań it is divided into three osiedles called Rataje, Chartowo and Żegrze. (This use of the word "osiedle" should not be confused with the more common one denoting a housing estate.) Building of the new estates began in the late 1960s, the first block being completed in 1967. The main estates are as follows: In "lower Rataje" (the areas closer to the Warta): Osiedle Armii Krajowej ("Home Army Estate"), Osiedle Bohaterów II Wojny Światowej ("World War II Heroes Estate"), Osiedle Jagiellońskie ("Jagiellonian Estate"), Osiedle Oświecenia ("Enlightenment Estate"), Osiedle Piastowskie ("Piast Estate"), Osiedle Powstań Narodowych ("National Uprisings Estate") and Osiedle Rzeczypospolitej ("Estate of the Polish Republic"). In the Chartowo area (the north-eastern estates): Osiedle Lecha, Osiedle Czecha, Osiedle Rusa (named after the legendary brothers Lech, Czech and Rus), Osiedle Tysiąclecia ("Millennium Estate", named for the millennium of the Baptism of Poland of 966), Osiedle Zodiak ("Zodiac Estate"; a newer estate also containing smaller houses). In the Żegrze area (the south-eastern estates): Osiedle Orła Białego ("White Eagle Estate"), Osiedle Polan ("Polans Estate"), Osiedle Stare Żegrze ("Old Żegrze Estate"). Some of the estates were renamed after the fall of communism: os. Armii Krajowej was originally called Osiedle Manifestu Lipcowego ("July Manifesto Estate"), os. Stare Żegrze was Osiedle Związku Walki Młodych ("Estate of the Union of Fighting Youth"), os. Orła Białego was Osiedle Związku Młodzieży Polskiej ("Estate of the Union of Polish Youth"), and os. Polan was Osiedle Związku Młodzieży Socjalistycznej ("Estate of the Union of Socialist Youth"). These three Unions were successive communist youth organizations in Poland. The estates were built under the auspices of the Osiedle Młodych housing cooperative, which was founded in 1958 (its name means "young people's estate"). Today the cooperative has around 40,000 members, and continues to administer most of the buildings and estate infrastructure. The Lake Malta recreational area, and the neighbouring Malta shopping and entertainment complex, are situated just north of Rataje. At the south-eastern corner of the Rataje estates, in the Franowo neighbourhood, is a group of several large retail centres and a multiplex cinema. Rataje has a number of tram lines connecting it with the city centre and other parts of Poznań. It is also served by various bus routes, mostly terminating at the bus station on the Rataje roundabout (Rondo Rataje). The main road out of Poznań in the direction of Katowice runs through Rataje (between Chartowo and Żegrze), mostly as an elevated road.

Koziegłowy [kɔʑeˈɡwɔvɨ] (German: Ziegenhagen) is a large village in the administrative district of Gmina Czerwonak, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It adjoins Czerwonak to the north and the city of Poznań to the south. It is one of the 2 villages in Poland with a population of at least 90 In 2006 Koziegłowy had 10,755 inhabitants, which makes it one of the most populous villages in Poland (in second place behind Kozy). Koziegłowy lies on the main road from Poznań to Wągrowiec, and consists mainly of modern residential developments situated to the east of that road. To the west is the Warta River and the main sewage treatment plant for the city of Poznań. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of the regional capital Poznań. Translated directly, the name means "Goats' Heads".
