The Psychedelic Supermarket was an underground music venue in Boston, Massachusetts, that was open in the 1960s, and became one of the core establishments of the city's psychedelic rock scene. It stood at 590 Commonwealth Avenue inside a parking garage that was converted into a club by promoter George Papadopoulo in 1967. The Psychedelic Supermarket was active for two years, before its closing.The venue was established in August 1967 by promoter George Papadopoulo. Papadopoulo, who was already an owner of a popular Boston-based folk club called the Unicorn, hastily put together the Psychedelic Supermarket in an abandoned parking garage to cash in on the scheduled performances dropped by the Crosstown Bus after it was shut down by police. On September 8, 1967, the Supermarket opened to an eight-day stay by Cream, just as the psychedelic rock group was preparing to record their second album Disraeli Gears. Cream utilized this time to practice their new material, including "Sunshine of Your Love" and "Strange Brew", before showcasing themselves to a national audience.However, for what it offered with major musical acts, the Psychedelic Supermarket's greatest shortcoming was its need of renovation and refurbishing. The venue was described as a "very industrial place" that had walls littered with album covers, no windows, and could hold between 200 and 300 patrons, but in its beginning stages the Supermarket had no seats installed. Perhaps the only positive of being situated in a parking lot was the elevated ceiling which allowed for more lucrative light shows. Throughout its existence, the venue featured a mixture of nationally recognized acts such as the Grateful Dead, Moby Grape, and Country Joe and the Fish, and local Boston bands like Eden's Children, the Freeborne, and Listening.In 1969, Papadopoulo closed the original site of the Unicorn Coffee House (733-825 Boylston Street, Back Bay, Boston) and moved its operations into the Psychedelic Supermarket. The venue did not stay open for too long thereafter as Boston's psychedelic rock scene, also known as the Bosstown Sound, was on a decline. The building was converted into a movie theater known as the Nickelodeon, before being demolished for a science lab for Boston University.

Alfred L. Morse Auditorium is a domed theater that is now owned by Boston University (BU) and used as an auditorium. Built in 1906 as Temple Israel, the edifice was intended by the architect and congregation as a replica of Solomon's Temple. Boston University acquired the building in 1967 when the congregation moved. In 1971, the building was named in honor of BU benefactor Alfred L. Morse, who was a member of the BU Board of Trustees from 1968 to 1973. The building is currently used for large lectures, events, and talks. The building is clad in white marble and today much of it is covered in vine. It was intended by the architect and congregation to be a replica of the Temple of Solomon.The building is adjacent to the Physics Research Building (PRB), Metcalf Science Center (SCI), and the Boston University College of Communication (COM).

It is located on the University's Charles River Campus in Boston, Massachusetts in the former Lahey Clinic building. BU Wheelock has more than 31,000 alumni, 65 full-time faculty and both undergraduate and graduate students. Boston University School of Education was ranked 34th in the nation in 2018 by U.S. News & World Report in their rankings of graduate schools of education. The School of Education is a member institution of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE).

The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS), which includes the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (GRS), is the largest school at Boston University, offering Bachelor of Arts degrees in over 20 departments and 25 interdisciplinary programs, including those offered through the Pardee School of Global Studies. The College of General Studies offers a two-year, general education core curriculum within Boston University. CGS is constructed in team system that limits the number of students in sections. The core curriculum is an interdisciplinary course of study taught by full-time Boston University faculty that all have attained PhD's. CGS freshmen are the second-largest incoming class of Boston University's ten undergraduate schools and colleges (next to the College of Arts and Sciences). All CGS freshmen are accepted as four-year bachelor's degree candidates, who, upon successful completion of the core curriculum and elective courses outside of CGS, continue to the Boston University's other nine undergraduate schools and colleges of their choice as long as the students meets the requirements of that college.The BU College of General Studies offers courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Rhetoric, and Natural Sciences to freshman and sophomore students as a way for students to fulfill all their general graduation requirements.This college is a two-year commitment, a student is not allowed to transfer into another college within the university until after completing their sophomore year and all other prerequisites.

The Questrom School of Business (formerly, the Boston University School of Management) is the business school at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Founded in 1913 as the College of Business Administration, the school offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The BU Questrom School of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (full- and part-time programs), a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematical Finance, a Master of Science in Management Studies (MSMS), executive education programs, and two Ph.D. programs. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs offer dual degree options with other schools and colleges at Boston University. Questrom has some 250 full-time faculty and some 200 part-time faculty, teaching fellows, and active research assistants.October 13, 1913, Boston University business began classes for students in the College of Business Administration. The first three courses were English, Spanish, and Advertising. The Spanish course was taught by Dean Everett Lord. The third course (Advertising) was taught by Charles E. Ballatty.In March 2015, the name was changed from the School of Management to the current, Questrom School of Business. It was named for alumnus Allen Questrom, a former CEO of many department stores, who with his wife Kelli, donated $50 million to Boston University.

Lansdowne station (formerly Yawkey station) is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Boston, Massachusetts. It serves the Framingham/Worcester Line. Landsdowne is located next to the Massachusetts Turnpike in the Fenway–Kenmore neighborhood near Kenmore Square, below grade between Beacon Street and Brookline Avenue. The station, originally named after former Boston Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey, opened as an infill station in 1988, for limited service to baseball games at Fenway Park. Regular commuter service began in 2001 for riders headed to Boston University, Kenmore Square, and the Longwood Medical and Academic Area. Inbound and outbound trains formerly shared a single two-car platform on the inbound track, requiring passengers to embark or debark from the front two cars of outbound trains or the rear two cars of inbound trains. In 2012, work began on a new, fully accessible station, including two longer high-level platforms and an overhead pedestrian bridge which will eventually allow direct access from the Beacon Street and Brookline Avenue overpasses through the planned Fenway Center development. Passengers boarded from the east end of the new station from June 2013 until March 10, 2014; after delays, it opened fully that day. The new station is served by all Worcester Line trains, which was expected to increase ridership from 585 total daily boardings and alightings to 937. By a 2018 count, there were 2,491 daily (1,195 boardings and 1,296 alightings).The station was renamed Lansdowne (after nearby Lansdowne Street) effective April 8, 2019, following the May 2018 renaming of Yawkey Way back to Jersey Street.

575 Commonwealth Avenue is a dormitory at Boston University. Until 2001 the building was a Howard Johnson hotel owned by the University. It is located in Kenmore Square next to the Rafik B. Hariri Building, which houses the Questrom School of Business.

The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University (also referred to as The Pardee School and Pardee School of Global Studies) is Boston University's newest school and was officially established in 2014 by consolidating and renaming a number of long-established programs in international and regional studies at Boston University dating back to 1953. The inaugural dean of the Pardee School is Adil Najam. The Pardee School has nearly 1,000 students, including about 800 undergraduate students. It offers six graduate degrees, two graduate certificates, five undergraduate majors, and eight undergraduate minors, and also brings together seven centers and programs of regional and thematic studies.

The Cask 'N Flagon is a restaurant and sports bar with locations at Fenway Park in Boston and on RT. 139 in Marshfield, MA. Both locations are owned locally. ESPN has rated it second "Top Baseball Bar in America."The bar/restaurant began as a small neighborhood bar known as Oliver's over forty years ago. Now, on busy event days at Fenway Park the bar caters to as many as 5,000 patrons.Oliver's Nightclub is a part of the Cask building and is located in the rear of the restaurant. It hosts private events a dance party on Friday and Saturday nights. Oliver's has hosted live music artists such as Bruce Springsteen, jam session with Jimi Hendrix and many local and national acts. Oliver's features a 400 sq ft (37 m2) dance floor, state-of-the-art sound and light system and HD projectors. The Fenway location is directly across the street from Fenway Park on the corner of Brookline and Lansdowne Streets. It has been locally owned for over 40 years.

The College of Engineering (ENG) at Boston University offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in various fields in engineering. The College of Engineering has melded three of its programs under one roof. Aerospace, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering now fall under the Mechanical Engineering major with concentrations in both Aerospace and Manufacturing.
